  1. The bracket is right below the tank opening, on the tank wall facing the car front. It's an single metal bracket that holds the fuel pump & sender next to each other. Once you fish your send out of your tank it just simply slides onto the bracket sideways until it locks into place. As soon as you see your sender you'll get the gist.
  2. Did mine by just using a trolley jack to lift the front, squirm in under the bar and do it by mostly by feel (can see a little better though). If memory serves, it's similar setup to the headlights with a hinged wire clip holding the globe in and a short wire connector that needs to be unplugged (when you get your replacements you'll see better). I believe H7's are correct.
  3. Selling a few bits from a R33gtst series 2 : Rear bar: black, good condition (just a little sicaflex needs to be cleaned off from pod removal) $80 Rear spoiler: black, good condition (a few small paint chips) $60 Sold Located in Melbourne, pickup only. PM or phone 0412774868 Damian
  4. Was a little short on cash at the time so went back to a stock.....no drama's since.......been keeping a lookout for a cheap tomei one though.
  5. Same problem struck me; my 040 got REAL loud and then I started to lose power a week or so later. Turned out the pump was rooted and the power loss is due to the pump not maintaining adequate fuel pressure. Changed my pump and all was sweet. On a side note, my 040 was less than a year old and was in really bad condition when I removed it from the tank so I am now a little dubious of bosch's quality control.
  6. Sounds EXACTLY like what happened to mine a few weeks ago. Series 2 with a bosch 040.....fuel pump crazy loud...fluttering loss of power. Turns out the fuel pump was shagged and was losing fuel pressure ...and this was a 9 month old pump. When I took it out it was all corroded / oxidized. Went cheap and whacked in a stock pump for the moment and all's well. Dunno if I got a dud pump or what but looking for something other than bosch now. Damian
  7. Anyone? If ya aint got a PFC ya get the cold shoulder?
  8. Howdy, just wondering if anyone knew if there is a diffence between the stock ecu's from series 1 & 2, also whether the manual & auto pack a different ecu? One fits all? Four different units? Thankyou for any assistance rendered. Damian
  9. Been keeping a fuel log for the last 6 months. Stock I was getting approx. 12.5lt per 100km. After mild mods (exhaust, boost controller, r34 cooler, safc2) I'm averaging approx 13.2lt per 100km. That's not granny driving either but certainly not going hard.
  10. Got a R33 myself and thats the same spot where my reservoir is, right behind the air filter. Different looking but I'd say ya spot on there.
  11. I pilot an R33 SII with the stock airbox. These radiator guides actually impede the airflow to the stock airbox since the intake snorkel sits on top of the radiator support?
  12. Just had the powersteering fixed on my R33. Sounds like the same symptoms. My mechanic flushed the fluid out (reckoned it was contaminated) and replaced the spring in the relief valve. Quiet as a church mouse now. Was thinking new a new pump was on the horizon but as usual turned out to be the little things... Damian
  13. Looking to bolt it on my R33. A less showy (and cheaper) alternative to an FMIC.
  14. ***chirping crickets***
  15. WTB: R34gtt stock intercooler. All you guys/gals sticking FMIC's in your R34's, now's your chance to offload that old stockie.
  16. Got one, thanks guys.
  17. Looking for a new or "like new" second hand SAFC-2. Melbourne area preferred for pickup.
