  1. heheh I've got the 25/30 combo in mine too... Although I run GTR cams and valvesprings & rev it to 7500 to make power rather than running lots of boost. I'm pretty sure my turbo's bigger than yours tho... From memory yours was a T60-1? Mine's a T76. matt
  2. Slayer - The SAFC cannot do ignition control... That's why it's just a SAFC... IF you want ignition control then you'll have to get the ITC. As someone who's used both (SAFC & Powerfc, (and even unichip)), I can tell you from experience that if you can afford to spend the extra $$$ you fork out for the powerfc is definitely worth it. That being said, there's nothing wrong with the SAFC for a lightly tuned car with the standard injectors, just beware that it is an interceptor, and doesn't alter the overall tune, it effectively just alters the voltage the ecu see's that the AFM is sending it. Oh - and the best feature of the powerfc, is you can tell if your car is pinging! matt
  3. Pawel, what sort of power are you putting out these days? I've got about 330 at the rears in mine atm, with more to come when I get some bigger injectors. What's 900nm translate to as tractive effort? Mine's making about 9500nm of tractive effort. matt
  4. I'm also looking at getting one of these from UAS... You say the qualities good, but I'm a bit worried about just how light it is. When you're driving, does the wind buffet it at all? matt

    Night cruise

Well it's back on the road, so I'll be there!!! matt
  24. I've had a number of different tyres on my car in teh 2 1/2 years I've had my car... IMO, best bang for your buck tyres are the Falken Azenis ST115's... They're slightly more grippy than the FM901's, and slightly cheaper... On the downside, they don't last _quite_ as long... But still have a reasonably good life... I got almost a year out of the ones on the back of my car matt
  25. Ditto on the 5.1 volts... You can still tune however, it's just difficult because once it hits 5.1v it's pretty much just a guessing game as far as tuning goes... With the powerfc's the stock afm isn't much good because you can't retard any more ignition off because there's no points available. So basically you just have to pick a conservative value for your ignition on load point 20 across the rev range so if the boost does spike, you won't melt a piston. As mentioned above... Full throttle can, but part throttle would be very rich. 2535 is probably the biggest you'd want to go without getting a compressor/exhaust wheel mismatch... The 2540 is too small on the exhaust side, and take longer to come on boost than they should... They also seem to require a lot more boost to make decent power than the 2535 does. If you can find one, you'd be better off with a 2835R or a 3037... They're both really well matched turbo's, and should make power fairly easily. When you say that the AFM maxed out, were yuo referring to the RB25 or Z32 item? I've got about 310 rwkw in mine (as seen by a number of forum members), and I think my max AFM voltage was 4.9v... What sort of turbo setup do you have, and where aboust are you based? Cheers, matt
