  3. No worries - I'll be giving rides out up at deca! Re: talking dribble - no worries - most people tune out when I start talking about the capabilities of the ecu!
  4. Paul - Will PM you.
  5. No probs - I'm going to be down there next week tuning my brothers car too. Maybe do yours at the same time if you're not busy?
  6. Thanks guys and girl! LOL @ Snowy - You know it!
  7. To dig up an old thread - FYI Guys - http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=166261
  8. Well I finally dyno tuned the evo last night @ RE Customs - Mods are additional boost, APC Exhaust and Ralliart filter. Final result - 229.1awkw - I'm VERY happy with how it turned out to say the least. Mixtures are nice and rich (11.5ish:1), and it pulls like a freight train through every gear. I tuned it myself using a combination of ECUFlash, EVOScan and Dataloglab (fairly cheap tools) Best part - I ran my car there when it was standard, and it made 147awkw - so it's picked up 82awkw over stock. After finishing the dyno tuning, I ran 4 4th gear pulls back to back and they were all within 1-2kw of each other, with no signs of the engine starting to pull timing. I've got to say - a BIG thanks to Ray from RE Customs for use of the dyno (and operating it) whilst I was tuning - he's a top bloke, and as everyone else has said, I'd definitely recommend him! Cheers, matt
  9. So that'll be Sh!tbox challenge + 1?
  10. Yeah why not - I'll come along.
  11. NP Mate!
  12. You have PM...
  13. No worries mate - Glad you could understand me - I tend to waffle on a bit - but it's just because I'm really into this stuff! Just wait till the final tune is done - it'll be awesome! Yeah no dramas - I'll sort out your timing for you to get rid of that knock. You'll be glad to know that I've already read your rom and removed the speed limiter amongst other things! Next time we catch up I can tidy up your ignition map and confirm that it's all sorted. Cheers, matt
  14. Not until the Wide Band o2 sensor I bought shows up! Sif getting maggotted isn't a good thing to do!
  15. By the way - I was surprised how much knock a stock Evo 7 has!!!
  16. Thanks mate - I'm very happy with how she goes now - especially considering it's still only running stock boost (admittedly it's now holding "stock" boost to redline! Still, considering it's only a base tune - I'm happy! Alan went in it tonight - I'll let him post what the thinks about it! Rod - I guess my end target is to be in a position to start offering custom tunes for 7/8/9's, but I'm still a little way off that, and I still need to speak to a few dyno operators to figure out if they're willing to "rent" out their dyno. Cheers, matt
  17. I already said that! And LOL at letting Dr Drift touch a 60k car.
  18. G'day Guys, Seems my car is running a fair bit less boost than it's meant to be - so I'll get that sorted out quick smart! Strange considering it's stock! Re: the prize - Excellent! Bec - I'll shoot you a PM re: picking it up. Thanks for organising the day guys! PS - That white Evo was awesome!
  19. Hey Paul - I'm going for a fair bit more than 180ish awkw in the evo! Bloody impressive power band though considering it's 2ltr vs 2.5! Thanks Chris - I'll get down there first thing!
  20. Hey Mav, I'd like to chuck my car on the dyno too, if only to see what it makes stock. I'd like to get a baseline before the goodies go on. Only problem is I've got the driver training thing on which starts @ 12.45. Any chance of getting on early? No dramas if you can't - I'll swing by after the course if it doesn't finish too late. matt
  21. G'day, As Ash mentioned, I'm currently going down this path now as far as tuning goes. As far as mechanical/suspension work, I'm getting all that done at Techsport as I've never heard anything but praise for their quality of work. They're very reasonably priced too. The ECU side of it is a bit more tricky. If you're happy to pay $$$ to get an Autronic or MoTeC, then you'll find that MPC will do a good job. There are a few products (such as ECUFlash) which have the ability to reflash the factory ECU, unfortunately, there are no shops here in Melbourne (other than AVO) that I've come across which have played with it. Give it time though, as it's very quickly gaining popularity in the EVO community. I've been speaking with MPC about ECUFlash, but as of yet, haven't been down there to show them the software and what it's capable of. When you're ready to get your car tuned, drop me a PM, and I'll let you know where I'm at re: places to get tuned. Cheers, matt
  22. It's so hot right now! Looks good mate - I'll be seeing Rapmant soon about some rims too.
  23. The new ones MUCH bigger than the old one. Clarkson could fit in easy enough, and he's 6ft5!
  24. I hate you so much right now! Bastard!!!!
