Emsta, All the FQ models (excluding the FQ400) used the factory turbo. As such - the only one which suffered terrible lag was the 400. Cheers, matt

Thanks for the info! BTW - I wouldn't hold a lot of stock in the info on the mitsubishi aus website - a lot of that info is based on the EVO VIII they sold here previously (including the weight). Interesting about the torque limit of the gearbox - considering they run over 400nm factory in Japan/NZ! Cheers, matt

I bought this because it's the best new car at that price range... There's not a whole lot in it b/w the 07 STi and 07 Evo, the Evo (for me) was a more exciting drive. Yeah I heard you had some troubles? Although you're the first person I've ever heard having trouble after doing something like deca (ie. autocross)? In the US, they only seem to break them after track day stuff, and even then, only after 30+ minutes. There's a 8 MR on the stock gearbox running 9's.

Awesome day as always guys... Thanks to SAU etc for organising this and all the officials that helped out during the day... Bit bummed about catching this cold or whatever the hell it was - sort of put a dampener on my sat'day night... I'm sure the other guys more than made up for it though! FYI - The engine number is actually on the block - not the head... So it's not the RB26 they're going to see, it's RB30. So when you go to vicroads to show them the engine number, they're going to see RB30 + a serial number stamped on the block. Depending on whether or not the person out @ Vicroads is clued up enough, they're probably going to question the fact the engine serial number that was in there was RB25 and is now RB30.
