Hi everyone. I'm back. Niz, I'm glad things have worked out for you in the job department. I know exactly how you feel, I have been looking for work for months. Bank husband is threatening to issue bank statements. I may have overdrawn that account. I do have a job, it's just that I want something more. Hope every one else is having a good day.

Joe, if your good you can ride with me. If your really good I might let you drive. Any dates in mind? This month, next month?

Early March, now, soon? I'm probably wrong.

Hi everyone. I have been driving a 1994 Prelude around for a few days, and I have to say, after the Skyline, it is sooo comfortable. It is manual, but it feels like an auto. I am also in love with 4 wheel steering. I have managed to park perfectly first attempt every time! Don't worry, the Skyline will be out weekends, petrol for her is sending me broke, so I have to resort to a prelude. It isn't so long ago I looked at Preludes and thought they were the ultimate sports car, now I use one as my daily driver. I actually think of it as my bomb. Don't feel good about my view on this, I know I am lucky to have the things I have, and so many people would do anything for one car. I really need to go to India or something. Get my priorities right.
-
All I can say is I an SOOOOOOOOO jealous! I am a poser at heart, and I love Supra's. Not sure that I can forgive you for being sick of your skyline after only 3 months though... OK you twisted my arm... take me for a spin in the Supra and I may forgive you... Let me drive and you may not forgive me... I plan on a Supra next. Don't know much about them though. Finances forbid any purchasers any time soon. Mods on the house...I seriously think I spend more time in my car than my house though. Hmmmmmm Prorities. Serious meditation session required.

Nice to get promotion, but I am still looking for another job. Anyone want a paralegal? (with no experience)

Rosters. A master roster is already in place. It is just slotting in casual staff, and covering holidays. Sounds easy, but co-ordinating over 100 staff is not easy. Everyone unhappy about not enough shifts, working in the wrong wings...!!! Excell automatically will calculate the total hours of individual staff and total hours allocated?

I've got a MOBY album. Definately have to be in the mood for it, it can be quite depressing. I should really be reviewing EXCEL right now. I got a promotion at work, and I need to know excel inside out. They don't really know that I am pretty much computer illiterate. I never actually told them I am a computer genius...I did tell them I can work a computer, and that I could handle anything they care to give me... I'm really in the shite. Well, I have until Monday to learn. A sickie would not be a good idea right niow. Can someone tell me if EXCEL is an easy programme? This is comming from someone who can take up to 5 minutes to find the on/off switch on a computer.

An opinion from a girl who isn't completely with the technical side of running a car. Just to give you auto business people an idea of how you may appear to the 'non too knoledgeable' Basically when I am looking to get anything done to my car, I get as many quotes as I can, and I ask people where they have had good service, and no problems. I generally like to stick with one person on each area of my car, because they know what has previously been done. When I am talking to people to do work on my car, I would generally go with the person who explains everything in detail, and takes the time to show me parts etc. Maybe that is naive, but when you don't know much, you appreciate the time people take to explain what they are doing. I have to admit that it is very offputting when you hear bad things about a place. I would usually still check them out for price and just to get a feel for them. But for that reason business owners have a right to be upset because of bad press. I always assume that the larger more popular places are more expensive, I like to go with smaller businesses, because we run a small business, and I know how hard it is. I find small places take a bit more time, and are a lot more willing to follow up on problems later on. If I get an excessively cheap quote I won't go near the place. It may sound strange, but it is the follow up service that is most important to me. If you have a problem, you like to know that whoever did the work is willing to check it and fix it promptly. It is the most annoying thing when you wait ages to get a job done, it is done, there is a problem, and you have to wait weeks for the person to check it out again. There are always going to be problems in any mechanical device, and I accept this. Having a few problems with things does not phase me, so long as they are fixed. I hope this gives you auto business people something helpful to improve your service. I have been lucky, not too many problems at all. There are only a few places I would never go to again.

Nizmo, I am nowhere near your level at the moment, but tomorrow night I will be. I am hoping to meet up with you (and buy Joe a drink) after my dinner. If I do not appear to be in a criminal state of intoxication, please tell me to get another drink!!! If a strange number appears on your phone, answer it!

Hi everyone. Still depressed, so went and got $80 haircut and colour. Definately a bit of a lesbian cut. Next time wont take so much off. Anyway it didn't work. Maybe a really rich lesbian will try to pick me up now. Things could be worse.

I agree he was stupid for not doing it properly, but immigration told him to get out, so he purchased a ticket, gave them all the info, and 2 days later they pulled him off the street and put him in the detention centre. He agreed to go anyway so why lock him up (at his own expense, $350 per day) and not give him a chance to finalize his affairs here? Immigration may have considered he was at risk of going into hiding, but don't we have a policy of innocent until proven guilty? And for $350 a day, they should be able to stay at Burswood under armed guard! Or maybe something a bit more...4 star.

GTS-T, no he was a student. He had deferred his studies because he had to work to save for uni fees, did not get the appropriate visa, and worked too many hours. Just pisses me that someone can get sent out of the country for working too much. We have the honour of paying to keep some foreigners in jail for commiting crimes, why not send them home? They prefer to send home poor students who have to work to pay their fees. Need to think of something else before profanities start appearing on screen. It's OK, now I am crying again!!!

Hey everyone. I have been out of circulation for a couple of days, definately a bad month. One of my friends has been detained by immigration, so I have spent a lot of time trying to finalize things for him here. Advice to foreigners: Detention centres are holes, don't ever give authorities reason to send you there. I am so depressed. Why do they deport all of my friends?

Bad news. My film was a dud, so no photos from me. Not happy, as there were photos from my sons first day at school on that film. Digital camera just went to the top of my wish list.

I hate to ask, but portable clothesline for the boot?
-
Don't quote me on this, but I think a friend paid $200 to put a car on a train from Perth to Sydney. About a year ago.

Try Extreme Machines. Only sell top quality imports. I believe Col is getting one or two Supra's in his next shipment. Got a couple in at the moment.

Did u guys have a meeting point in a carpark (Maccas?) on Leach Hwy? My husband and I were driving past and we saw 3 or 4 'Lines parked there. We were going to stop and join in, but we hadn't eaten and were starving.

andrewjread, I know someone who has a Supra, a couple of R33'S, GTR. The Canberra people only went back to work a couple of weeks ago, so they are up to their armpits in paperwork. Check every code on every form, because they are sending approval for the wrong models of cars, which is holding things up further. It's annoying that you can't rush it, it must be costing you a fortune.

KEYPADS: When I wanted to get a keypad I was told it was not a good idea. If someone breaks into your house and gets your keys, then they find out they can't break the code, they are likely to come back into the house to force you to give them the code. IF you don't co-operate you will probably be hurt. He suggested to me an alarm system that has a secret switch hidden inside the car, and you have to press it before you start the engine. If the switch is not pressed the car automatically stops after 40 seconds ( I think fuel supply stopped). That gives the thieves enough time to get far enough away from your house that they are unlikely to come back. Only drawback is that it is a whole new alarm system about $500, as it cannot be incorporated into your existing system. Talk to Darren at Technik 0412 909 901 if you are interested. He has done a lot of work on my car, he specialises in imports, and I have never had any problems with his work.

I'll think about it. Planning on buying husband a MOMO steering wheel for my car (oops, I meant our car), just like he has always wanted. So whether I'll be alive to attend the cruise I don't know. Do you think he would notice if I just had it installed? Hmmmm.
-
Used to have RAZO polished aluminum, but too hot, and if you wear rings it is easy to scratch the knob. Now I have a MOMO F16. Mostly leather with chrome detail. Very comfortable to change, easier to grip than the round shape. When I was trying to decide on a knob, most of the people in the performance shops brought the knobs out for me to see how they looked in the car.

Alan, you have a lot of people looking out for your car. IT is great how SAU pull together to help each other out. I have been looking out all day. Sorry if I got your hopes up about that one in Bently. As soon as I saw no plates, speakers and things removed and a huge dent, I just thought 'The b*stards r already working on it' Well anyway good luck. If mine was taken I don't know that I would want it back. It happened in my old car, and it never felt the same after. It just felt 'tainted'.

Sneeza, I was wondering about shirts myself. Great idea. I think the web address across the back and the crescent logo thingy on the front would look good. That might cost a bit though. Don't they charge by size and number of letters?
