Hi everyone Had an interesting conversation today with the guy at Dept Planning & Infrastructure that takes your licenses off you (he actually remembered me which is quite scary since he has 80 - 150 case files a week) He was telling me at parliament at the moment is sitting a new proposal in regards to the way you lose your license. Basically the new changes are if you lose your 12 demerit points then you are given a one year good behaviour period in which you are still able to drive but if you lose one or more points in this period then your license is suspended for 6 months. THey will be abolishing extrodinary licenses if this comes into play too.

my next car will be manual due to the fact i would like to do more track work but I hate this whole Stigma attached to autos - that you buy one you must be weak and that they are slow ...... when thats not the truth at all. They can be just as quick as the manuals if not quicker. Least I don't lose boost and have to rebuild it back up everytime it changes gear.

excuse me??? My car is an auto and if i remember at the last drag combat was pulling a lot better times than most of the manuals. Not to mention not having to ever worry about replacing clutches

not really place to discuss but will just answer your question quickly: I plan to do a little bit of both - upgrade with something a little different (don't worry still a nissan) its a project i've been itching to do for the past 18months. Won't be upgrading straight after the sale of Niz - will take me about 6 months later to get the funds together. No i won't be selling the plates either

Hi guys someone can take my place - i will be selling Niz hopefully early this year so will resist the urge to thrash. She's at the shops today getting new tyres, new suspension and a few other bits n pieces as it is.

I gave up a loooong time ago stressing about every little scractch that appeared on my car - and you will eventually too - they are unavoidable unless you want ot garage your car for the rest of its life. I've got a nice trolley dent in the side of mine where some a-hole has pushed a trolley into it - it's a good time to start believing in karma.

I just went to my parts department - got asked if i needed fat or skinny ones and done ..... seems toyota ones fit nissan fine too.

Get behind this people - there's not enough opportunities like this in WA too often! Unfortunately financial commitments than come from just buying a house and being round christmas time is restricting me from entering otherwise i'd be there with bells on!

Hyperdrive are a SAUWA sponsor - our club considers each sponsor carefully before adding them onto the team - the majority of us have had great experiences there (especially that time on the workshop bench ken - you were great ) and word of mouth is great. But if everyone posted their good experiences and bad experiences - the forums would just get choked ... a little like they are now .... after all we aren't "Choice" Magazine here where we go rating everyone and everything and doing bacteria tests etc. Useful to me is more the DIY stuff - performance related stuff - little things that we should learn to do ourselves rather than run off crying to a workshop for and wonder then why we are low on their priority list cos they are probably looking at you thinknig "and you own a performance car and don't know how to do this or what this is??".

Oh please tell us more of this disability - I don't think we've heard enough. Actually can we just start a thread on Missy's broken arm? please mods - I think it would be a good general interest article - something we all need to know about in detail. Who knows when one of us poor unsuspecting souls may be struck down by this disability and be unable to drive our cars .... but be able to type post after post without any difficulties constantly going off topic to discuss our favourite subject ...... which of coarse is ourselves

Too many speed bumps in scarborough - think of the low riders amongst us. Last time i took my ride into scarbs on a weeknight i had abuse hurled at me by trevs you know the normal jap crap etc. I can't be bothered with a cruise (kinda grown outta that 'look at me' im in a city traffic jam/ laps of the same old cafe strips show off stage) so I'll just meet you where ever you end up.
