  3. hey guys, just wondering if anyone knows what flow rates or the tech specs are of the standard and aftermarket (jun, tomei) engine oil pumps on rb engines are? thanks Mitch
  4. hows this all going? what are the tech specs on the pump you are using?
  5. interested for sure
  6. to be different as stated in the first post. and like i said it wouldnt look good on a four door either because of the b pillar, for a four door car to look good with rear suicide doors it needs to be completely billarless in the middle so that when you have the doors open there is nothing on the whole side of the car and allows the whole cabin to be opened up.
  7. how about you search what suicide doors are... suicide doors are reverse opening doors. whether its two or 4 doors. on a four door car only the rear doors are made suicide doors like the likes of the mazda rx8 and a few of the space cab utes are now having suicide doors at the rear. this only would look good with a pillarless sedan. if you have a look back to the original post you will see that he states that it is a big door to be supported, this would indicate that it is a coupe as the doors are longer in the coupes. have a look at alot of the hot rods which you primarily see suicide doors on majority of them are two door cars... so there is no embarrassment here my friend.
  8. ^^what has 4 door got to do with anything?
  9. heaps of people just fabricate a fitting to do the job. the return is then plumbed back into the sump on the plenum side becasue of the way the crank turns it helps to promote flow into the sump and not get sloshed back up from the crank.
  10. i had mine tapped into my oil return off my turbo
  11. the 6 will definately be more responsive, im sticking with them on my 26/30 and just got the greddy plenum which goes on the 6 itb's
  12. i thought it did thats good i just picked mine up for my new engine. awesome rotational idle here i come
  13. what ecus run rotational idle?
  14. ok ill try that this arvo.
  15. just smash it up there and keep repairing the bumper haha, nah the best way is just go up it at an almost parrallel angle it helps when you have wide wheels that stick out the guards because they go up the curb before the bumper hits
  16. have done already and they wont go in at all, even tried putting the bush round the sway bar and cup on and getting one bolt on one side of the cup done up completely then jacking the car up on the other side of the cup. i was able to lift the car completely off the jackstands without the bush squashing into the mounting cup. any other suggestions
  17. wow very credible reply there... from the pics it doesnt look like it is 4 inches wider either side than a gtr thats for sure i think you are majorly over exagerating there.
  18. hey guys i was installing my new whiteline swaybars on my r32 gtst the other day and when trying to get the new nolathane bushes inside the gtst (U shape) mounting cups (front swaybar) the bushes wont fit even with trying to squish them against the subframe they just wont squash into the cups. is it possible that i need bigger cups or??? are gtr cups bigger than gtst? any help would be greatly appreciated
  19. is that actually a wide body kit? to me it just looks like a gtr standard size with the guards flared
  20. 650 for the street is just plain ridiculous and most probably illegal i know that some of the modifications to get to that power here in aus are illegal. and the amount of work to get 650 out of your rb25 is very extensive. why do you want 650? have you got 300, 400, 500 and want more?
  21. my build is going into the 15k-20k bracket but im doing everything under the sun, some people have done it on the extreme cheap though and they run strong but who knows how long they would last for
  22. so has anyone used their oil pumps? would you reccomend one over a jun?
  23. has anyone got any pics of the bond roll bars? how close fit are they?
  24. hey risking sorry to go off topic here, but just curious as to what pipe bender you use. its just a standard crush bend style machine isnt it? one of my mates here reckons you madrel bend the steel. and if you are making you own cage what process do you have to go through?
  25. no its a bit naive of you to think that i a high powered rear drive car you will not push the boundaries and limits of yourself and car. starting to learn to drive in a high performance car in itself isnt a good idea for this fact. hence why they have brought in this ruling for P plater drivers. as many ppl have suggested get a little run around and learn to drive first. then get a good car and start modifying.
