  3. yes they are a denso injector. i havent had any personal experience witht hem but one of the guys i knows rates them highly.
  4. everyone has an opinion on this. i go with the opinion of tune it and run it in how it will be driven. many people think you should rack up km's on a run in tune then do a proper tune, but each to their own.

  7. beter economy on a long drive, thats a common known fact that your economy goes down on long journeys at highway speeds. the stock rating would be an average of city and some highway driving.
  8. mate i have done it before and know many people who have them now. and every single one i have heard including my own has had an exhaust leak even if it was only a slight leak you can still hear it...

  12. i was looking at doing this before i started my rb30/26 build, but was looking at either using the smaller vh41 or the vk45 good luck mate should be a good build
  13. there is no way you could get a perfect seal between the wastegate and exhaust sides of the housing. and as more exhaust gasses pass through the dump pressure increases and the leak becomes more noticeable. hence why they dont sound the same as proper gate there isnt the same "snap open, snap close" of the gate due to the leak. put some of your 13grand twoards getting turbos without internal gates and then set yourself up with sopme external gates and screamers if you want to do it properly
  14. yer thats what i was thinking. i just couldnt be bothered moving my car at the moment to check if it would fit.
  15. even if they do have the little metal tab welded in between the wastegate flap and the exhaust side it will still leak.
  16. i know first hand that exactly what baron said, you will have a constant exhaust leak and it doesnt have the same sound as a real screamer. i had one on my rb20 before i went to my 30
  17. has anyone worked out if you can wire in any of the digital data displays like the autronic or motec?
  18. good news the exchange rate is getting slightly better. the australian dollar has gone from buying around 64.4 japanese yen on friday to about 72.5 japanese yen today, lets just hope this keeps going
  19. i have broken a 3rd selector fork but that is from fast aggressive downchanges from 4th to 3rd. other than that they hold together pretty well
  20. sory to hijack just on this topic im looking for a turbo a bit bigger than a 3582R but dont want to loose too much response due to car being used for drift. have a rb30/26, forged pistons, rods, cams, high mount mani, greddy plenum, 100cc injectors and all the usual bits and pieces. should i just go the bigger rear housing (1.06) or what is the next size turbo up? cheers Mitch
  21. its bullshit, im trying to bring parts over from japan for my new engine and al the cost of parts have jumped hugely.
  22. hey just wondering will a bodykit from a normal 32 gtst fit a 32 GTR body? im sceptical because the guards are obviously wider, but every one who i speak to says that it should fit. havent had a chance to try it on my car yet to see. anyone tried this before or know the answer? thanks Mitch
  23. hey guys just wondering if anyone has a copy of the RB30 manual, or know where to find one. i have both rb25 and 26 on my computer but am chasing the RB30 one aswell. any help will be greatly appreciated thanks Mitch
  24. is anyone on here actually measuring the static compression of their motor or just using a calculator or what the specs say you should get?
  25. just chasin the dimensions of the crank collars which you need to put on the earlier rb engines crank to run the higher flow oil pumps ie. jun, tomei, hks any help would be greatly appreciated. mitch
