Hey all, On the 28th and 29th of March 2015, Nulon Australia hosted the second round of the 'Nulon Nationals'. The 'Nulon Nationals' has been running for two years now, with the idea that it is a 3 to 4 event series for multiple car clubs to compete against each other. The clubs that are competing with each other are; 1) EvoOz 2) Skylines Australia 3) 86 Drivers Club 4) Mazda MX5 Club of Australia 5) Club Deutsche - German Hot Hatch Owners 6) HSV Owners Club (Holden/GM/Chevy) 7) Ford Owners Club Australia 8) Honda Owners Club / Nulon This year, there are four events 1) Skidpad 2) Hill Climb 3) Trackday 4) Drag SpeedRun was there to capture the action.. I think we need to be a little more realistic in turbo expectations. The EFR7163 is rated at 60lbs or 600HP MAX. That is fully maxed out, providing the engine can take that airflow efficiently. 600HP is around 447kW at the ENGINE. Assuming 20% driveline loss, your already talking about approx. 358kW @ wheels. ^ This is all assuming the turbo is running to its limit and driveline/dyno losses are capped at 20%. To be honest, I wouldn't be expecting more then 330~350kW / 442~470HP at the wheels with a EFR7163. In saying all this, your setup does seem to be slightly down on power, and seems to spool at little slower.. I would start looking at exhaust restrictions first. Make sure your exhaust is AT LEAST a 3" ID...

Car is looking great matt. Been a while since I have seen it... bring on 2015 i say! Cant wait to hit the track with you and see how the car goes up close and personal!

Also noticed your using stock cams... Surely there are gains to be had by swaping these out?

Hey everyone... A LOT has changed in the last 7-8 months and the car has taken on more of a track focus rather then street. I have started a web page (http://akracing.me) and facebook page (http://www.facebook.com/AlexKingRacing) so that it is easier for people to follow the builds progress (easier to post in one place!) As a summary; Everything to do with A/C and heater has been removed. I have purchased a EFR8374 with a T4 1.05 A/R rear on it. I have just fabricated a 6pt roll cage Installed a Velo Apex Seat (hans compatible) Spare wheel well removed and replaced with alloy flat floor Wiring harness has been stripped down and all redundant wiring gone. Door Cards are gone, and I am currently making some alloy replacements Focus on Aero rather then just wide body.. New Front brakes are being made, ready to be bolted on in Jan Fuel system has gone and now going to a surge tank setup (rather then in tank) Thats about all I can think of!
