A couple of my mates have already got their exemptions they said they were easy as to get. all you do is write a letter stating why you have to drive the performance car (mum and dads cars are both at work, they are auto and they cant drive manual, and say you cant get to work any other way cos they are at work). My mate said that, added a letter from his boss for good measure saying that he needed to be at work within 20 minutes of being called or his job would be at risk. That was it, sent it in, it was back within a week with his exemption. Funny thing is, with this exemption in place it wouldnt have stopped the blue 34 GTR crash that started all this in the first place...

Hi ive been thinking a lot lately about different for positions for subs in an r33 2dr. I previously had a Nissan NXR/coupe, which was a hatchback(obviously). Now i had the sub in the boot and no parcel tray as it didnt come with the car, and it sounded excellent, like it was sitting 30 cm or so behind my head. I want to get this kind of sound in a skyline, but dont want to have it in my boot due to space, poorer sound quality and boot rattle issues (you look like a tool). So, has anybody tried or heard of anybody having an install of one or 2 8" subs running in the centre of the back seat? I know it might sound stupid, but i think it would greatly improve sound quality, wont have it damaged in the boot when i use it, and it would be a different install from the norm. I have used my back seats maybe twice in a year and a half so they wont get damaged from people getting in and out, just warn them on the very odd occasion that they get in. It would have more chance of getting damaged in the boot. The only problem i can see is they will need to be supported somehow, maybe a strip of wood inside the seat? And is there any chance of fire due to the materials the seat is made of and any heat from the subs? Thanks in advance

Just wondering with Ipod compatible head decks, do you simply plug it in via cable and play it off the device or is there a memory card that gets transferred from the Ipod to the headdeck? Im guessing memory card from the photo of the headdecks with the Ipod option, there was a memory card style chip next to them. Oh and im thinking of getting one of these headdecks in the future as my girlfriend is buying me an ipod for my birthday, are they a good idea or just a novelty like the headdecks that change colour screens? What about a Nissan NXR? sr20de with targa top and looks good, i sold mine (pictured) for 6 grand with king springs, exhaust, stereo, tinted windows and rims. Great on petrol and mine drove like a gokart.

Mate im doing the exact opposite! I bought a 91 Charade so i could save money for an R33. The charade is awesome on petrol, to work and back 10 times a week (come home for lunch), and a drive in town twice a week (20 min away) and it will cost $15-$20 a week max. I know your looking for a price range above 10k, but still they are pretty good.

Hey everybody, rather than create a new thread i thought i should just ask here seems rb30det's is the subject. Just curious how reliable these engines are, if built by a workshop. I know to an extent it relies on the ability of the workshop, but say a very well built rb30, how will they hold up compared to stock rb25s? Do the problems multiply a lot faster than in a stock rb25 if the boost is raised? Thanks for your help, it might sound stupid but i have been wondering about it for some time.

Mate dunno bout the 1st one, 23k for a 96 with 125000k's on it? Sounds a bit steep unless its got some other major mods that you havent listed. The second one sounds a bit better, but remember to get it checked out before you buy it
