What time do you think you'll be leaving Vilis as I'll just rock up when you're about to go - like I meant to do last time and got there just in time to see all the Skylines driving away. And my most important mod: I finally have my clock back in the dash and working after 3 years. Surely the knowledge that my dash is complete will drop my lap times...

Talking to a mate over the phone last night whom I haven't seen for a while and he's telling me about the R35 GTRs that he has spotted around Adelaide. You gotta love it when your friends share in your passions even though he's never even been in a Skyline.

Was that a DVD screener? Seems weird that it was released in 2007 and my usual source for a movie only has screener versions.

I finally spotted an R35 GTR on the road today. A white one on Park Tce just outside of town. And then later I spotted a GMG one parked on O'Connell St. There were stacks of other Skylines around but those 2 were memorable. I also saw the pink R33 N1SMO or N15MO or whatever it is. And a Lamborghini Countach on a hoist and looking like it was missing some items eg wheels, bonnet, doors

^^^^ Bloody hell George! 380mm 8 pots plus 6 pots for the rears! How much power is your GTR putting out? The thing will stop on a dime! I've never even heard of Kido as a brake brand. I can't wait to see how you go on Monday. I wish I had my GTR So after going to 5 different places today and trying on lots of helmets the ones that fitted the best and were the most comfortable were the Shoei. They were also the most expensive (well the carbon fibre ones for $2500 were but I only looked at them to admire). I can get the one I want - a 2009 model TZ-R in metallic anthracite - for $600 in town from Bills Motorcycles but I have just found a place in the USA that sells them for USD$278 or ~AUD$300. Add shipping and it will still be a lot less than $600. Will a US sourced helmet pass scrutineers? It won't have the Australian Standards sticker on the back.

What brake set up did you go with George? Have you still got your Supra & a R34 GTR? Didn't you have a Pulsar or Laser as well?

I'm just going out for shits 'n giggles and to not crash. Are the laps actually going to be timed? I nominate my car for the slowest group - at 62kW it is less than my GTR idles at (well almost).

Well my little Peugeot is nearly ready. Its had a tune up, new spark plugs, new fuel & air filters, injector cleaner, fully flushed the brake fluid, new urethane bushes & front sway bar bushes and a wheel alignment. Now I have to remove the sub, sub box & amp from the hatch and clean out the interior. My only problem is the side bolstering on the right hand side of the drivers' seat has collapsed meaning I have to brace my right knee against the door when turning left. Luckily Mallala doesn't have too many left turns. The Recaro race seat I have only has rails for a R32/R33 so I couldn't use that. I also chose to stick with my EBC Greenstuff pads as they had plenty of meat left & I didn't see the point of fitting new pads for 1 day only. I need to spend my $ upgrading the GTRs brakes, not the Pugs. Just have to find a helmet now. I've borrowed one but my head is too small for it (it's a medium & I need a small). That's the mission for today.

IIRC Autobarn are meant to be having a big sale until the end of Oct. Do SAU-SA members get any extra discount at the Mile End store seeing as they are a sponsor?

A bit harsh Andrew. The guy is a uni student and probably only has 1 car. There is stuff all parking around uni if you plan on staying late and most of the paying parking places close before 1am. Most public transport would have stopped by 1am. I've personally seen someone get through a club lock with one decent kick. The guy said that his immobiliser saved his car. Alarms are useless - all the do is create noise which everyone ignores. Immobilisers are what prevent thieves from stealing your pride and joy. I saw a guy at Southern Tech when I was having my R32 GTR dyno tuned who had a R33 GTR that had its engine removed. The car was parked at his house and someone broke in and tried to steal it - with no engine! They stuffed up the passenger side locks, the ignition barrel and (I think) the plastic underneath the dash plus screwed up his wiring. Tough on a guy who was already having his engine rebuilt. Good luck Unit Zero - I hope it all gets sorted without causing you too much grief. Not the most ideal thing to happen just before exams.

You could get them optioned with a/c and it would be easy to get it fitted once the car was over here. I'm surprised Kristian hasn't done it to his R34 N1 (he may have since last summer).

Except for the drive to and from Mallala.

Just to increase the peer pressure on our Skylineless mod & VP of SAUSA... I found an R32 N1 5 weeks after I bought my grey R32 GTR. And I had bought that one only 6 weeks after buying the white GTR that Dohmar now owns. At the time I said to myself "I can't buy 3 R32 GTRs in 3 months having never even sat in one." Kind of wish I had now.

Well that was an unsuccessful attempt at sleep. Maybe I should become a legal secretary at an all night legal firm - like Billie Piper.

Do you have all of The Face of the Enemy webisodes? I'm missing scenes 3 and 9 and haven't been able to find them. I have: BSG seasons 1-4 The Resistance webisodes The minisodes from season 4 Deleted scenes from season 4 Razor 3 specials - Phenomenon, Revealed & The Last Frakkin' Special, Caprica Deleted scenes from Caprica And all bar scenes 3 & 9 of The Face of the Enemy webisodes. I will have The Plan by 4am. What else is there?

So who is actually coming to this, has paid their $ and what car are they taking? Are any of the R35 GTRs going to be out there? Perhaps PMs need to be sent to Munro, Martin Donnon, fungoolie & SlipR35?

I'm waiting until 3am to download it (off-peak). I was thinking a while ago that they said there was going to be 3 BSG movies and so far they had only released Razor. Was The Plan shot post mini series production or during?

Do you still have ABS & 4WD or are you stuck in RWD? It could be your G sensor. My car was indicating the exact same dash lights as yours and stuck in RWD & had no ABS. I took the car to Steve at Manta who removed the G sensor and ran it through a diagnostic test which it failed (indicating a faulty unit). A new one from Nissan costs about $3k but when Steve put the G sensor back in the car the 4WD & ABS lights went out at those two systems started working fine. Go figure? Maybe the unit just had a loose wire? I took to it to the driver training a week later and both systems were still working.

How did we go from having 3 reserves to having 2 spots free? Did 5 people drop out? I posted on the Aussiefrogs forum and on Facebook as well as sent a message to a friend of mine who has a Porsche Boxter and competed at the Philcom time attack recently. I'll let you know if I get any bites but it is short notice.

I think you can go to the BP site and see locations for all their servos that have U98. Might try the mobile one as well. It can be done as I know a few people that have done it in 300+rwkW GTRs.

Ben - how long have you had the solar panels? I've never noticed them before. Also that photo looks like you used a blue filter, what gives?
