I would check with your insurance company first. A lot of them include 1 replacement windscreen per year without having to pay an excess. Check your policy or call the insurance company up. Can't hurt. If you don't have insurance...GET SOME! Sorry to hear about your car. People should learn that you don't f**k with another persons car.

Great shots Martin although next time I'll get out of the car and improve them (by my absence) or maybe I just have to work harder on my 'Gun Metal Steel' look. Nice to see some Supras & the S15 as well. It was fun having a mixture of cars out there.

I've seen all the other shows you've listed but never heard of Chuck. ATM watching weeds, True Blood and Entourage as they are released each week. s04e01 of Dexter was good but a little predictable. I'm really hanging out for the final season of Lost. I just re-watched all 5 seasons to remind myself of the storyline and all the plot twists.

Scandy did afterwards (he was joking at the time). I was just shit-stirring Vu. No offence was intended. I didn't even see the incident so have no idea what happened. Besides my view is that if you didn't spin at least once then you obviously weren't trying hard enough... at least that the excuse I'm using for my spin.

Just came on here to add a special mention to our super-mod Andrew the Nightcrawler. Had only a few hours sleep, from what I gather he drove well and then played mechanic for David's R33 GTR at the end of the day as seen in Vu's last pic above. Made sure no-one was left behind. Top effort mate. And Vu - powersliding usually occurs at speeds above 20kmph. It was the final lap and was for a warm down. Failing to keep your car on the black stuff at that point in time IS a fail. (But nice pics)

Thanks for organising the day Kim - it was awesome fun and a great test on dry, damp & wet track conditions. Glad your R33 GTR made it back Red Back. It was the only 'casualty' of the day so that's a pretty good effort all round. Now I just need a helmet and new brakes by Nov 23rd. Anyway got some Brembo F40s they want to sell?

Wake up biatches! It's 0555 in the morning. I'm showered, dressed and feed and it's almost time to go.

Bed? I just got home from indoor soccer. Gotta eat yet and have a friend coming over.

There was a Dennis at the dyno day who owns a GMG R32 GTR with the plates SIR-032. I assume that you're NOT talking about him? He doesn't talk shit (well he might but I find it entertaining) and is a good bloke.

Allan [R334door(s2)] - your sig is concerning me. How does that work?

I've never really understood the appeal of sunroofs in Adelaide. Great in spring, great on a summer night and useless the rest of the time because it's too bloody hot. I've had one on both my 205 GTI (first the red one and then the green one) that I've owned since 1995 and don't use it that often. Maybe that's just me... I am a WHITE man who burns easily and since turning 28 I've been developing my own 'sunroof' that should be finished by the time I'm 38.

Cheers for the response Kim. I have 275/35/18 Kumho KU36 on 18x10" BBS rims. Think I'll follow your advice and put 38psi in on Monday night. Gepps Cross by 0715. I live down south and am a night owl. If I didn't have indoor soccer tomorrow night I'd have stayed in a hotel close to Mallala on Monday night. May have to drug myself to fall asleep early and get up by 0530. Just checked the BoM for Tuesday: Tuesday - A few showers. Windy. Min 10 Max 15. Damn! Wanted a dry track/day.

So what tyre pressures are people setting? Earlier posts said 26psi. The document from John Bowe says 42-46psi. I understand that tyre pressures will increase as the day goes on. Is anybody taking a generator to make increases to tyre pressure if we set them around 26-28psi but they do not increase to track day levels?

Are your comments as to whether they have been thrashed statements or questions? Do you know either way? What mods would you plan to do to the red one if you bought it? If they include a front lip, exhaust, intake pipe then why not have someone else pay for them (ie get the blue one)? Would you use the sunroof? What condition is the leather in for either car? Going on the very limited info you've given us and if you're not sure I'd wait longer until a black one turned up. Are you opposed to a personal import? Edit: Just looked at the photos. Blue one has white side indicators and red one has an Infinity badge instead of Nissan. Don't like the wheels on the blue one and from the photos the red duco looks better but that may be purely time of day, better wash, better camera, better photographer etc.

Didn't vote because I don't have a R35 but would be interested to know what industry the buyers are from - motor, IT, medical, finance etc? Just curious not doing market research or anything like that.

Got FMIC!

I spotted a cloud of black smoke in my mirrors as I was able to unleash 300+kW for the first time since 20 June, 2008.

Didn't the blue mesh win the wooden spoon for softest dyno performance? It was a DYNO day afterall. What are your bananas dancing about Ruby?

Got tickets to Pearl Jam

Don't know if they have manuals but you're much more likely to find one here http://www.vwwatercooled.org.au/newforum/upload/index.php than on a Skylines forum. Good luck.

Was driving behind and next to a pretty sweet R34 GTT with a bodykit. I couldn't really tell what colour it was but I think the driver said it was gold with a pearl undercoat. Was about 6:30pm on Marion Rd heading north towards Anzac Hwy. I've seen this car a few times now but don't know if the driver is on here.

Andrew (Blue32) can you please post up your dyno sheet? I forgot to ask to see it today and would like to see the boost & power curves. Also what GReddy twins are you running?
-
Damn sorry to read about the events in this thread. I'm glad you're ok and your car turned up - hopefully not damaged in any way other than an empty gas tank. Cheers for the headsup about the black R34 because I'm stupid enough that if a Skyline was behind me and signalled to pull over, I would, thinking some dude with good taste in cars wants to talk shop. Now if any of you are trailing me you'd better be carrying your SAUSA membership card or else I'm going to taser your ass... with a 9V on the tongue.

I'll repost my earlier comments since Heslo locked the other thread... Firstly massive kudos and thanks to Cara, Ruby, John Keen, Shane and anyone else involved in putting the day on. Was a great turnout, a good variety of cars, no car died (I hope the R31 wagon was ok), some good dyno numbers and most importantly was a well run event. Congrats to Andrew (Blue32) for taking out the Dyno Queen trophy with 390.x rwkW! I would have liked to have seen how close to that I could've come but alas the new Blitz EBC didn't want to release more than 11psi.

Picked up the car from Manta yesterday and despite the G sensor indicate red and failing the diagnostic test it now has 4WD & ABS Funnily enough when we put it on the dyno today at HiTech it didn't want to come out of 4WD despite the fuse being pulled and the Field torque split controller being unplugged. The new BlitZ EBC and oil lines to the GReddy catch can will hopefully be sorted on Thursday and I think I'll fit the Recaro race seat for the day. Fingers crossed all goes well. Now I'm just debating whether to buy a helmet before the 25th? I know it's not mandatory but with my driving history and luck...
