This may be just me but if the SAUSA is all in the same colour I always read it as SA USA. IMHO the SAU & SA need to be in different colours to avoid this. Just my $0.02. (which rounded down really equals $0.00)

If I understand it correctly the Garrett turbos relate to the following Nissan & HKS turbos: 2860-7 = Nissan R34 GTR N1 (although there are 3 different N1 models) 2860-9 = HKS GT-SS 2860-5 = HKS 2530 The HKS GT-RS are much bigger turbos and from what I have read on SAU you really need a stroker kit (JUN 2.7, HKS 2.8, OS Gikon 3.0) to avoid massive lag. The following graph & chart may be a useful guide but are a few years old now.

It is always Beer-o'clock somewhere Nigel. You just have to think globally.

Booked my flights and bought my 2-day pass today. Arrive in Sydney on Thursday 20th May and leaving on Sunday 23rd. Staying at a mate's place only 10 minutes from Sydney airport and 45 minutes from Eastern Creek Raceway. Can't wait. Thanks Jess for bring this event to my notice on the SA boards - it was the teaser video that sold me. Hope to meet some of you guys and gals over there.

Thanks Damo. Thanks Steve - it was the early positioning on the sim that resulted in the ticket being bought when it was. I was so hot after my run that I needed a drink. Only had a tenna so said that I'd grab a ticket as well. Worked out rather well for me and makes up for my poor times on the sim (although they would have been better if I hit the brake pedal instead of the clutch pedal). Speak to the execs as there was a spot reserved for the winning raffle ticket and I already had a place and had paid for it.

Booked my flights & tickets today. Flights were $115 each way + reaming fee on Virgin Blue. Tickets were $50 for the 2 days + (smaller) reaming fee of $3.50. Staying at a mate's place who is just 10 minutes from the airport and 45 minutes from Eastern Creek Raceway (according to Google maps). Can't Wait!!!

Keen for this. Have to sort out my CAMS licence as I'm pretty sure I need reports from my doc regarding my meds before they'll give me one.

Not sure how many soccer fans are on this board but it was nice to watch Adelaide United win the first game of the Asian Champions League last night. Despite finishing bottom of the A-League they won their last two games and now have 3 wins in a row to build some momentum to take OS. The team looks better too with the new signings. GO REDS!

Yeah I'll take them off of you Luke. I could use the extra $20 atm (you did mean that you would pay us to take them didn't you )
-
You would've had the same view as you had here - on TV. It was held in Sydney

Meh. I'd deal myself, keep the $ and use it to buy all the drinks and nibbles for the night and pay for a taxi home if necessary. Dave would be able to flick the cards nicer than me. As if I'd pay for that.

er... pertty well versed in the rules of poker thankyou very much. For sure. The more the merrier, especially some females. WTF!? I'm out then. ^^^^ What she said. I wonder about you Ben.

Oh boo hoo all of you. I've had my car on the road for less than 12 months since the start of 2006!

On both occasions you were awake and even sitting up the second time waiting for us. Did you stay at a Christian Brothers orphanage or do some jail time? Because no-one should be that alert when 'sleeping' whilst on holidays.
-
Definitely. Considering going to the open day at Mallala on the 27th. But I'm still dirty at Santa for not giving me a big brake upgrade kit. If only I could find $10k laying around.

If you keep your eyes open you will see dyno days for various clubs throughout the year. Usually Skylines are welcome at most if they haven't filled all the slots available. If you specifically want to go to a SAU-SA one then I imagine it will be later in the year as the one in 2009 was held on August 15. But do as Damo suggested and join the club for up-to-the-minute updates

Port were way too good yesterday. The score actually flattered the Crows as I think they were gifted 3 goals by the umps. I'm not overly concerned except for the attitude and approach of the Crows to the game. As I said in my OP this is the Mickey Mouse Cup, it counts for 0. But well done to the Power as they needed to win given the current situation with both the PAMFC & Power. Not sure who was missing from the Power line up as I was really only paying attention to their youngsters for DT & SC purposes but the Crows had Bock, Tippet, Scott Thompson & Porplyzia missing. Those 4 will make a difference to the team but if they approach any AFL game with the same attitude as yesterday then they will get flogged like they were yesterday. But it is only February and I remain confident that it will be a good year for the hoops (depending upon injuries).

Lol. It did seem a bit harsh so you had to expect that kind of response. And as Adrian pointed out at the last private track day I took my 52fwkW Peugeot and had an absolute ball. I would have fallen nearly 200kW atw below your cut off point. Already looking forward to this day. Wish I could afford a big brake kit before it though.

I had to roll my guards to fit the 18x10 + 20 BBS LMs with 275/35/18 rubber. I still scrub the front tyres on poor roads at high speed (100-110kmph).

If only we could all take away the years and injuries from our bodies. I used to be a handy HBF/BP back in the day. Didn't have a penetrating kick and wasn't the cleanest of marks but once the ball hit the ground I was in my element. Was really good at contested footy and reading the play. Only played school boy level although did play against Ben Hart, Nick Holland, Seb Parker (who was drafted in the initial Crows' squad but did his knee in a staff v PACOC basketball match prior to the 1991 pre-season) and bunch of guys that made in onto AFL or SANFL lists but didn't get a game. As a Glenelg supporter the SANFL needs the PAMFC. Also I wouldn't want the mantle of Most Successful Club to go to a Victorian club. So... and this is hard to say... 'Save the Magpies'. Plus I really hate Collingwood so having a SANFL Magpies team that is older and more successful is a needle in Fat Ed's spine, which I love!

Is it wrong for me to want 4 people to drop out so that I can see, hear and compare with Blue32's R32 GTR?

Waiting 5 minutes to send PMs is annoying so I'll post the league details here: DT league name: SAU-SA. Code: 876845 SC league name: SAUSA. Code: 158158 My team is called Oranges@Halftime. Good luck.

Really? I've never heard a bad thing about Jim Berry or his clutches. Can you give me some examples? PM if necessary. Abe - My GTR has a Jim Berry Full Monte clutch and you got to experience how it coped with several hard launches on a hot day. Compared to the Nismo twin plate I had previously it is much easier to use, more communicative, lighter and quieter. Depending upon it's durability I'll definitely get one again. I thought this comment was funny and appropriate. Jim is of the old school. I spoke to him for over an hour (he called me after I left a message) and I took notes of the entire conversation. I learnt a lot about clutches. Same thing when talking to Peter Hall. Get them when they have some free time, take your pen and notebook, and be prepared to learn from people with over 30 years experience (each). Sounds like you got some mud in your vagina Matty. There has been some of that going around on SAU lately but the others are more likely to have sand in theirs. I think it's the heat and that you missed out on the great Balgowan adventure. Next time mate.

I know we have an existing AFL thread but a new season begins this weekend so I thought a new thread would be appropriate. Once the Mickey Mouse Cup (MMC) is over the real stuff will begin. It should be a good season for Crows' supporters but not so good for the cross town rivals in teal. At least they now have a proper footy guernsey. However, every season one team vastly improves, one team dramatically drops, some disappoint, some give hope and only one ultimately wins. What are your predictions? At this early preseason stage without really paying any attention to what has happened regarding transfers and injuries I believe the cup will be fought between Geelong, St Kilda, the Western Bulldogs, Adelaide with the Lions, Collingwood and Hawthorn a rung below. But that is largely based on last years' form and as I have already stated every season the ladder changes. Once again I will be participating in Dream Team & Super Coach competitions which are free to enter and have some good prizes on offer. PM me if you are interested in playing. It would be nice to have an SAUSA league with bragging rights at stake. GO CROWS!
