  1. I use the Light Wheel Alignment in town. They use old school analogue equipment and specialise in wheel alignments ie that is all they do. I find them better and more accurate that any tyre retailer that uses digital equipment. 58 Byron Pl, Adelaide, SA 5000 ph: (08) 82121448
  2. I'd like to see it one day Steve. It looks pretty amazing and I've never seen a modern electric kit. Can't play the drums though so you'd have to demo for me.
  3. Really sorry to hear that story Ruby. I knew that you had suffered a loss and the details make it even worse. I hope things gradually get better for your cousin and he does continue to live and enjoy life with his remaining daughter.
  4. Sister grasses up brother for having beer in room, parents ground him for 3 months, he finds her 'list' and posts it on facebook, AND tags everyone on the list.... EDIT - Damo, how do get the images to stay in their full size?
  5. You have certainly piqued my interest in this Jess. That video may have been the deciding factor. Now to check airfares to Sydney and see if my mate will be in the country and not flying an A380 at the time.
  6. Paid in full.
  7. Heslo - when you get a chance can you provide banking details for us to pay the deposit. Cheers.
  8. I am IN! Are we going to extend an invitation to the Supra boys & girls?
  9. Skye you have started 2 threads but haven't given us any details. I assume that your car was stolen and later found stripped near the skate park in Hallet Cove. Is this correct? How about you give us some more details to see they jog someone's memory or so that we can look out for stolen parts being sold on here, NS.com or Ebay? What model of Skyline was it? What colour? What was the number plate? Do you have the shell? What parts were taken? Where was the car stolen from? About what time was it stolen? What has been left behind? All these details can help and you will probably have to provide them to the police if you haven't already.
  10. Having bought a R32 GTR with stock turbos, motor, suspension, brakes etc and been forced to replace them as they all broke at some point I would only look at buying a GTR that had several modifications done to correct the design flaws of the RB26 - the oil pickup and ceramic wheels. I'd only want a stock GTR if it was a non-raced N1 for investment purposes.
  11. Anyone interested in making some $? I have a R33 GTR S3 that has been sitting in my driveway for way too long. It needs a proper clean, clay & polish + interior clean up before I can get some photos taken and advertise it here & on carsales. I have all of the cleaning agents and applicators (but not a motorised buffer). I live south ~22km from town. PM me if you're interested. Alternatively can anyone suggest a really good car detailer? The paint on the bonnet may need some work.
  12. IMO Maslin's beach is the nicest beach near Adelaide. Only 25% of it is a nudist beach and you are allowed to wear clothes in that section. The 'nudist' part keeps people away too so it is generally fairly quiet there and you don't have to worry about cars on the sand (except maybe a cop car). What makes me laugh is the sign that states that you can remove your clothes also has a Neighbourhood Watch sign attached to it. I used to walk my dog down there and have seen some stunning, naked women doing photo shoots but mainly it's old, fat naked guys walking around. There are usually only about 20 people on the entire beach. One of Adelaide's best kept secrets.
  13. That's not how it happens Luke no matter what your local Minister says.
  14. My HICAS system is giving me the shits. I have a HICAS lock bar and the light never came on unless the 4WD light came on as well and I had lost power to the front wheels. Since getting my car back from the crash repairer the HICAS light comes on very frequently but I can't determine a pattern. Sometimes it is when I'm braking hard, turning hard, just cruising along at 60kmph, waiting at lights - it all seems a bit random. I'm tempted to remove the globe because I don't want to get into the habit of ignoring a flashing red light on my dash.
  15. Do you mean this one? It's Nur spec, not a genuine Nur. Previous owner in Japan sent the car to Nismo to get Nur engine, new suspension etc.
  16. Define cheap? A Billion 7401VGP with 4 ports, wireless, VoIP/802.11g ADSL2+ router from MSY sells for $138. Covers most options you'd want from a home router/switch. I have had one for a year or so and run my PC, PS3, Xbox & PVR through it plus if a friend brings their laptop over they can log into the wireless. ***Disclaimer*** - there a many people on SAU who know more about PCs and the internet than me. I am just a heavy user.
  17. If you want quantity go with TPG. Much better plans than Adam for big downloaders. Crap after sale service though. Plus 35GB is nothing if you download in HD - a 1 hour (43mins run time) TV show in 720p is 1.2GB. The latest episode of Top Gear s14e06 in HD 720p is 2.2GB. Most 720p movies range from 4.5GB to 8GB and if you want to go for full 1080p a small file is 8GB up to 40GB for a proper Bluray copy. So you need to add up what you would want to download. For eg - Dexter, Dollhouse, Top Gear, Californication, Entourage, Flashforward, Lost etc then work out how large the file sizes are, multilpy that by 4.x (weeks per month), add some movies, some GB for youtube and general browsing and very quickly you go over 35GB and are being shaped. More so for online gaming. Edit - I didn't even mention porn! However some ISP like Adam & Internode (IIRC) have sharing between members that doesn't count to your overall download quota and this may work out cheaper again if you can see what files you'd have access to. But having said all of the above for noobs I always advise go with Internode purely for quality of service and after sales support.

  19. Drugs are bad m'kay.
  20. Happy Hangover! Remember that if you got really hammered last night that you will probably still have alcohol in your system and could blow over 0.05 if tested. Community notices brought to you by the letters G, T & R and the number 32.
  21. Wow Andrew - what type of tampons are you using these days (not questioning your masculinity but the lifestyle reminds me of the old tampon ads). BTW - I was thinking of do a trip along the GOR, a day at Phillip Island (hopefully with the SAU Vic crew if I can coordinate the dates right) and then catching a ferry to Tassie & going to their track and some Targa Tasmania roads next year. Was probably looking to do it in spring but it is just an idea atm.
  22. Haha. Now I know who I'm going to call next time I need to move my pool table. It just won't fit on the Pug.
  23. That is just retarded. Whilst some may think it looks good that garage lip was barely an inch high. We have manhole covers higher than that here. Hell even seagull droppings are higher than that! IMO when looks>function to the point where it is inoperable = MASSIVE wank factor. A car that can't be driven is a total waste.
  24. Duncan - maybe your son is just really strong?
