Hi Guys, I have a few brand new gaskets left over from my turbo work. I bought every gasket from manifold through to the end of the dump pipes as I thought better change them all all while the turbos are out. However some of the gaskets I discovered had already been changed and were practically new. Therefore I have the following for sale and I will post them anywhere in Aust free of charge (generous aren't I ) Manifold Gasket Pt # 14036-05u00 $50.00 the pair - SOLD Turbo Gasket Pt # 14445-05u00 $40.00 only have one Turbo gasket Pt # 14415-17m00 $30.00 only have one These would be great to have handy if any work has to be done to your GTR and turbo access if available. All are genuine Nissan (metal) and still in packaging. PM me if interested. Cheers Scott

33 Gtr Front Camber Issues
TOY 33 replied to TOY 33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Wheel alignment? Other than the rear camber settings and the front & rear toe setting unless you get the Whitleine kits there isn't really much you can align. Having said that it is usually $60 well spent. Before you start (Friday afternoon may be a good time) have a look at the state of the threads on the dampers. If they look to be grotty & horrible & seized give the threads a hose with some WD40 before you get handy with the C spanners. Thanks once again, Already got the WD 40 can ready to go as I know the fronts do not have the best looking thread In regards to the Wheel alignment I have just had one done last week [thats what has prompted the action] just wanted to know when I raise the front 10mm will it bring in the camber from -3 to -2 automatically? -
Got to love happy endings Now go love the GTR and forget all those bad thoughts you had about her and enjoy

33 Gtr Front Camber Issues
TOY 33 replied to TOY 33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Have just measured the height of the GTR last night and found that the front and rear are both set at 345mm Will be raising the front on the weekend ( for adjustable coilovers) up to 355mm and see how it looks. If I don't like it that high I will be ordering a front camber kit and lowering the front back down Once I raise the front up 10mm, will I need a new wheel alignment, or will it automatically reduce the negative camber? Also is there any difference in having the front the same height as the back? -

33 Gtr Front Camber Issues
TOY 33 replied to TOY 33's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Ride height is not too low, just under legal however have a 3.5" exhaust which sits low. I think it would be about 1-1.5 inches below standard? I think the sway bars are all standard GTR, I'll check when I get home. Thanks for the help keep the advice coming -
Advice needed! I have a 33 gtr with 18 x 10 front and rear wrapped in 265/35/18. I also have Tein coliovers (jap spec and just height adjustable). I have had my two front tyres scrub out within 10,000 KM down to the canvas on the inside. Obviously this is a camber issue and I've had a wheel allignment just conducted and the mechanic said that the camber cannot be adjusted anymore and they sit at -3 degrees at the front. The rears are just under -2 degrees so aren't as bad as the fronts and are wearing OK. Can the 33 GTR handle 10" rims on the front? If so how can I adjust the front camber to handle the 18x10" rims the cheapest way. Is it camber kits or adjustable pillow mounts or up grade suspension? I'm a bit lost *scratches head* Any advice is appreciated from the group. Cheers

I have 265/35/18's Nankang NS 11's on the rear of my R33 GTR, fine for everyday driving, not noisy, grip in the dry and wet, friend of mine got 45000 out of a set - however no good on the track. Thats what semi slicks r for I only bought them for price not for handling ability as my GTR is not flogged on the street only on the track (with Semi's) my 2 cents

First Stage completed Took a little longer that expected as we found a turbo gasket leak that had to be fixed. After we bloody put everything back on! Therefore most of it had to come back off to get to the gasket. Ahhhhhh got to love owning a GTR. What do you reckon should be next. No one mention polishing the intake plenum as I found out that it would be uneconomical to do so. What it would cost taking off and polishing I could by a Greddy one! I'm thinking Oil Cap, and tidy up a few lines and hoses and then completo.

Hey scotty hows the gtr going now, all fixed and running back to normal? What time did ya's end up finishing up, long afer i left?? Haha i allways see you driving your womans subi, again today.. why is that?!?! Hey Cars all done after about 4weeks of not driving it I'm in love again Finished putting all back together by about 10pm that night and warmed her up and went for a run with Marty . Now holds 1.3bar with ease and still shoots 1 meter flames What a s%#t job. For anyone out there with an RB26 changing turbo gaskets are not fun have to take both turbos out of the car to get to anything! Hope to be out in it a little more now - don't think I'll sell it now, since Marty went through it with a fine tooth comb and after being in it said its one of the best 33's he's seen. Still not as quick as his 180 though Might keep it for a little longer anyway. Next thing is a tune, so if ya thinking of getting Matty to tune yours let me know and he might do both of ours a little cheaper at the same time. As you know mines got a Croydon Tune already so mine should be quick to complete. Nismo33 - I got Nathan at Extreme Polishing in Underwood to do all my work so you went to the right place. See ya round (not in the bloody 2 litre Subie (non turbo))
-
Good call Matt, Join the party over here in 33 land! Has the 32 Sold? Mine should be back on the road this weekend, fingers crossed. Did you get yours tuned yet, and if ya did how did ya go as I will need a tune soon as I got the quote from Croydon to tune when Jim was up here in Brisbane Scott

God Dammit! - Done For Speeding =(
TOY 33 replied to No Crust Racing's topic in General Automotive Discussion
Just got done on the weekend for chirping through the gears in my GTR (first and second) and I wasn't speeding just got to 100 bloody quickly. Got me for $240 (undue noise) and 2 points (I thnk) Yes $240! Antihoon squads my ass, revenue raising *end rant* Now I've got that out of my system, just pisses me off As the officer was writting my ticket out a HSV 6.0 litre job did exactly the same thing and took off quickly up to 100 on the same street. When he walked over to hand me the ticket I inquired why they weren't taking his details down. The officer seriously replied "You were in a whole different league to that guy" I tried to not smile. Anyway I got caught. I have to pay $240 I have to explain it to the missus I have to rant -
$240 fine for them hearing my GTR chirp second gear

I'll keep my eyes out here on the Sunshine Coast If someone is driving it I doubt it will have the plates on it now. If you know how much fuel it had in it, do a search around the area as much as you can as soon as possible because if someone has parked it after a joyride, you definately do not want a GTR sitting on the side of the road. Unfortunately you will have to do the searching yourself as the police can't help to much. Ask at some servos because with plates like that someone may have noticed it - its worth a try Make sure you note all VIN numbers, aftermarket parts, pictures, etc and give tham to the SAU moderators if it does not get recovered. If the theives are stupid enough to try and sell stuff on this site then I am sure we will have our revenge I will look out for you as I am sure every other GTR owner will in QLD. Mate I feel for you.
-
Count me in if the car is ready by then I will be there! Let us all pray for good weather, working BBQ's, twisty roads. Note to Dynamix - remember these roads will be two way roads not one way roads 4wd Vs GTR- You will lose!
