actually the car is idling fine. i thought it was idling low but my mistake. its just the low beams turning off as you come to a stop. the car has been taken to an auto electrician and he could not fix it. he thinks its a wiring issue but couldn't work it out cos he couldnt find any headlight wiring diagrams. either could i. but its not the alternator or relays. took the car for a drive with my brother and did a few tests and it seems the lights are triggered by the speedo and the brake being applied together. you can also hear like a relay or switch clicking as its triggered. ive read through some topics and found that in japan they all tend to turn the headlights off at traffic lights and they may even be a device that can be fitted to do this automatically. thinking now that my car may have something like this which is weird cos ive never heard about it. anyone know anything about this or can lend some advice?? kinda stuck might have to keep tryin auto elects or even a compliance place. cheers

what about any auto electricians that are familiar with skylines and their wiring? trying to find one around south eastern melbourne. last auto elect i went to couldn't fix my headlight problem on my series 2 r33 or find any wiring diagrams of the headlights. i couldn't find any either. low beams are still cutting out when its idling at the traffic lights!

sounds like ur centre console has been replaced with one from an auto. so it wont do anythin. think it's supposed to be for power/snow or something. i got a series 2 r33 type M 40th anniv. in manual and dont have the switch. if you look through cars on carsales u'll see the autos with it.

i can't believe with all the r33 skylines out there and no one has any wiring diagrams for the electricals. i've been looking everywhere for a wiring diagram for my headlights as they are playing up and my auto electrician who is working on it now cant find any either. all i could find was the r33 engine manual but that doesnt help. if anyone has anything could you let me know cos it would help. cheers

Hi, having problems with my r33 series 2 at night. the car seems to start fine and lights work fine too at first. but after driving it and having to come to a complete stop the headlights start to cut out when its idling. and the car feels like its struggling not to stall. it also seems to be more the one headlight then the other. and when i pulled over to check the car out the other night one of the tail lights was also out but now its working again. anyone have any experience with this or know what it could be? had a look around for similar problems but getting different answers. have no idea myself really. wondering if it could be a faulty relay caused by overloading current from braking? or maybe a vacuum hose leak or even a bad ground connection with engine and chassis? don't think its related to the battery or alternator tho. any help????

Hey everyone Jus recently noticed on my r32 gtst its HICASS light on the cluster has been staying on after i start it. It only usually stays on for about 5 minutes of driving and sometimes comes on shortly after if i hit a corner hard or get abit sideways. It never did this before so could so could someone let me know why it is now? Is the HICASS screwed and in need to be fixed? thanks.

Hey everyone i own a r32 gtst and want to take the rear spoiler off as i think it looks better without it. Jus wondering wat the best way for fixing the screw holes in the boot is? would u need to get it welded, sanded down and resprayed or is it easier jus to put some plugs in the holes. And if it is worth jus getting some plugs where can they be purchased from? thanks.

hey everyone. i was jus wondering if any could answer me wat is the best way about installing some 6x9's into my r32 gtst? I have just purchased some kenwood 6x9's and am not sure wat dimension spacers they may need and if the room in the back is goin to be affected by the rear window. How would i go about fittin these?

no it doesn't its got an aftermarket one. does it lift the stock front bumper?

hey everyone, i jus recently bought myself a r32 gtst that i imported and don't really know too much about them. Jus wondering to the left of the sterring wheel are a couple buttons for spoiler up and down. Ive tried pressin them but nothin happens and was interested if anyone could let me know what they do. They don't seem like they do much to the rear or front spoiler. thanks
