  1. Not taking anything away from the kits, I'm using one on my new engine.
  2. You make an optical sensor and trigger wheel sound a lot more complicated that it is! People have been doing crank triggers on rb's long before this kit appeared... being in kit form just makes it easier.
  3. HR31 bolt-in cage pics by any chance
  4. PM R32 TT, he did the crank trigger mod on it's own. I don't think he found he could add any more timing... Re pricing, call Ross. They're doing it in kit form which includes everything from the balancer to the crank and cam triggers, optical sensors etc etc which is around the 2k mark.
  5. Cheers James. Yeh the plan is club level stuff but keeping the rego while I don't have space for a trailer and dedicated tow car. Not sure about the cell location being an issue, I can't really see any difference which side of the floor it sits on from a rear impact point of view (other than fuel spilling on the ground rather than inside the boot if it were to split). I certainly think it's better than mounting it part way through the floor like most people have to do due to the spare tyre well (risk of slicing it in half in a rear hit). It will be covered on the underside if that's what you mean?
  6. Motor/box installs should be a little easier now! Just need a make up a bolt in replacement now..
  7. Have you considered an external pump?
  8. Different part numbers for the 33gtr, this one won't suit. Sold pending payment.
  9. Tough!! What model ssr's are they?
  10. Thanks gents - chipping away at it slowly! The mani is very nice but the finnishing in a few area's isn't to the standard I'd expect considering the asking price. Glad I got mine cheap! Trial fit of the fuel cell all done, the hole saw packed it in so I had to resort to the slow method (lots of small holes followed by a file!). Good times Cardboard is a template which will be made in steel to cover the old fuel tank access hole.
  11. Do you have any more details Trent? That site is difficult to navigate.
  12. AN10 fitting ID is 12.3mm, AN12 is 15.47mm.
  13. My link Red line is the BW, blue the GT35. Size comparison "turbos from L to R -- TSGT40R, GT37R, BW S300SX 83-75, TS35R, BW S200SX 75-70, TS3076R"
  14. There is a back to back test betwen the 1.06 t4 ts reared gt35 and bw s300sx 83-75 on the evo forums with pretty much identical results. I'll dig it up.
  15. Few more pictures/updates given there isn't much real progress Was disappointed to find the ati balancer fouls on the radiator when the pump drive is fitted so it's for sale and will be replaced by a custom (shorter) balancer. Hopefully the Ross alternative is as good as the ati... Still waiting on the new head from Brad, it's coming together with a big single pump which should be a lower risk option than running a couple 044's in parallel. Sound deadening is all gone, rebuilt and powder coated the pedal assembies & now in the middle of putting it back together. Turns out hr's come with n1 spec brake booster so it's off for a rebuild. Dummied up the rail and 1600cc injectors on the old motor to check fitment. Fuel cell complete with e85 specific foam and a couple of curious russians!
  16. Hey Corey - a good mate lent me his spare 26/30 to trial fit various bit's and pieces so I can answer you now. The manifold places the turbo higher than the motor, I have only a few mm clearance between the bonnet and comp cover (less than I have btw the motor and bonnet). The front waste gate sits pretty close to the strut tower as well. As mentioned before the gate plumbing will be fun.
  17. I would reconsider choosing the ts gt35 over the alternatives... the ts rear housing is very large and obscures much of the core making it very difficult to get spanners onto. The casting quality from ATP is quite poor as well (purely cosmetic though). I have photos of the gt35 ts and bw options if you want to compare. Keep in mind shipping from full race will cost you 150-200US, plus the wire transfer fee's and taxes when it lands. I found the same, the turbo sits higher than the motor - something anyone with an rb30 in a gtr would need to keep in mind.
  18. Still here! Make a reasonable offer.
  19. John thanks for sharing. I thought I'd had a few rough runs over the years modifying my shitbox but your leading that race by a long way. I hope bw/fr come to the party on at least the parts debt you've incurred by effectively running the southern hemisphere BW R&D department.
  20. Should add I'm chasing 600 + delivery for the balancer.
  21. The legend of the lakes vid puts the cars pace into perspective - you're a brave man doing that without a full weld in cage!
  22. The drive mandrel is spoken for. Balancer available on it's own.
  23. Hey Daniel - will only separate if the balancer sells on it's own. I'll let you know.
