  1. Ok the BCP6E (same as the BCP6ES I was told) made no difference to the missfire... this is shitting me. Anyone have any ideas?? (will be swapping coil packs this week sometime)
  2. Sk what is your opinion on the non resistor typre plugs preventing missfire? SKY30, what motor is in your 32? Going to swap the plugs (again) for the non resistor type tomorrow. Will let ya's know if works
  3. I reckon it would be worth a go with the stocker back to back to see what difference it makes. Roy, no one with an rb20 in WA is making anywhere near the power figures your talking about as far as I know.. Fair few on 300-320 but thats about it.
  4. Nice, it wil make 300 easily with 19-20psi:). How does it feel on the road? Can you post up a link to your dyno sheet (and mine.. I lost the link), be interesting to see how much better your power curve looks.
  5. Very interesting sky30. Im using the bcpr6es at the moment, with a 0.6 gap and its still missfiring badly (19-20psi, 300rwhp). Going to check the coil packs but wouldnt mind trying the bcp6es if that fixed the problem in yours. Would you mind passing on any more details on your setup ? Thanks
  6. Come on, you have got to love the uneven tyre wear!
  7. sk, the hr31 irs is very difficult to control. No matter how much wheel alligning you do the design of the irs still see's the rear tyres half of the ground. Every import 31 has this problem. Took it for a proper drive for the first time since I got the car back from the tune, and its developed a nasty missfire as soon as it hits boost. Im thinking ignition (again) since the back of the car was covered in fuel when I got back... time to bring the plug gap down yet again.
  8. KYB shocks and springs, susp is very stiff when driving but as soon as it starts making power it drops the arse end...
  9. Needs custom springs (ie rock hard), squats hard and then loses traction the bastard irs Time to see what the 2535 can do!
  10. I had massive flutter when the piston in my bov seized (no not a pisstake- the cheaper aus made ones seem to rely on blow by oil to stay lubricated). Recipe is big turbo/boost, no bov and pod. Sounded cool for about 5minutes after which it becomes ****ing annoying. I had around ten people ask me what type of bov I had when I took the shitter to the drags.... simple answer: a broken one!
  11. TD06, not sure exactly what garret wheel it is... Will scan it tomorrow, makes its boost at just over 5000rpm and no drop in power untill past 7500.
  12. Well not as impressive as mr boostn32's 300rwkw claim, but the red top rb20 made 301rwhp today at 19psi with a nice tune to look after an aging motor. Many thanks to Hyperdrive who have taken the car from being weak as piss (240rwhp at 20psi) to where its at now.
  13. check the rb20 250rwkw thread, plenty of turbo discussion there. Anything from a 2530 to a gt30 would be suitable, but what do you want from the car?
  14. Yes thats the car and turbo, not near those figures yet tho unfortunately... Go's ok running 1bar, is line ball with a mates 12.7sec ute so looking forward to what it can do with proper boost control and some tuning
  15. Cheers, will do. Hyperdrive are looking after mine as well, lumpy is the guru
  16. Who is doing your tune? Finally got a stiffer gate spring, retune with more boost this week
  17. over 2k
  18. Looking at the latest dyno sheet for mine, I have approx 600rpm more lag than the 2530 (running 1bar) but power doesnt drop of untill around 7000rpm. Thats with std manifold modded to accept the external gate. Waiting on a stiffer gate spring so we can wind up the boost and give it a proper tune (hopefully the stiffer spring and tuning will reduce the lag slightly).
  19. I had this manfold and had alot of problems. Out of the box it was warped to shit, needed to be faced. The tab that reinforces the t3 flange to the pipes cracked within days, the pipes themselves didnt crack though (in the two weeks I left it on there). I have photo's on the home pc of the china and std manifolds next to each other, the one I have (same as your pic) had noticeably smaller ports than the stock manifold, the merge points were messy as hell (the ones I could see), and the the design is simply very poor for flow. I was making a pitiful 240rwhp with 20psi with this manifold. Did some porting on the inlet, ditched the china manifold and converted the td06 to external gate and ended up with 265rwhp at 15psi without any extra tuning. This power figure is still low but we havent put much time into the tune since we plan to run much more boost once elec boost cont'l is setup. Draw your own conclusions on what resulted in the power gain... I will put up some pics tonight comparing the two
  20. I would expect the rb20 5spd to last one sub 2sec launch on sticky tyres. Go the 25 box! That was the problem I had when I ran mine first time, 3puck button clutch means no slipping and needing to be above 5k to go anywhere means shit 60ft's. You really need the drag slicks so you can launch hard at high rpm..
  21. 15psi so approx 215rwkw and your running 111mph... making the 250rwkw you should have an 11sec capable terminal speed, impressive stuff. Keep the commentary coming, without it I might have given up on mine... I have the hardware just not the numbers:( Dont worry about the 60ft's, with all the power up top and a decent clutch to handle it the only way your getting if of the line in under 2.0 is sticky tyres..
  22. I have an exedy single, three puck ceramic and its on/off. The xtreme should be very smooth being sprung centre with 9pucks.. Havent driven a twin plate though
  23. The red top plenum is considerably different to the silvertop, post a picture
  24. kil.08S Nice work! what snail have you chosen to replace the 2535? I look forward to your results.. Running td06 hybrid myself but plenty of other problems holding it back:(
