  1. WTB section? http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=68091
  2. depends what comes up dude, not wanting to spend a huge amount tho
  3. I fairly sure it was in hpi, has 26 rods, 2535 etc. A very nice z
  4. Looking for an external gate, not interested in china copies. Prefer jap brand or turbosmart etc Second hand or new.. prefer wa sellers pm or email [email protected] thanks Nick
  5. I looked into the r32 loom, theyre at a premium due to their repective ecu being able to be chipped, the few i did find had people asking ridiculous prices Certainly isnt a plug and play when you have to change looms, Esp when plugs need to be changed etc. Nismoid, playing with a wiring loom is far from being 'just a few wires' its a godamn headache. Yet again please post or have those who have 'switched' looms post here.
  6. My point was, there isnt a plugin for the hr31 skyline. There are plenty of people to tune the PFC but how do i install a plugin designed for a different car?? SK you seem to have thrown them in everything so let us know how if its so easy. Like I said i spent ALOT of time looking around, at the time there was NO plugins for a HR31. As far as i know there still isnt. However thats besides the point, the man asked for opinions on the Link and i gave mine as a person who lives with a link equipped car. Imacl8, car was initially tuned by leigh at RMS and lately Hyperdrive have been looking after it while we try to iron out a few problems with the motor. I wont go into your grievances with Leigh but suffice to say he certainly isnt the clown;)
  7. SK, find me someone in WA who will put a pfc in my car and i will do it. I spent close to a year shopping for ecu's. Options came down to Wolf, Autronics or Link. I was wary of the lack of people willing to tune wolf, and i couldnt justify the autronics for the 50% extra cost over the Link, as i've said it does a respectable job in mine and countless other cars. Imacl8, if you have a grudge take it up with the tuner this is not the place.
  8. put it in a car for which plug and plays arent sold?
  9. imacul8, the link plus has all the features you claim it doesn't including temp correction.. does the power fc? runs the std knock sensor also. The ecu comparison link you posted up fails to list most of the links features... you also fail to mention how many countless hours the holinger equipped car you mention spent on the dyno at west racing? I agree its far from the best ecu on the market but it does a good job in mine and countless other cars and for the dollars you can't complain. Nismoid your initial comment on the subject is laughable, shit if everyone on the forum isnt using it, it must be crap.. ? Well done
  10. mates lh torana, totally stock susp with decent shocks, 9", 400rwhp, consistent 10.5's 1.5/6 60ft's on 8" slicks at the western nat's. jxl you have no idea there is also an lj running around with a 26-a top bloke, but this vc looks insane
  11. what is a 26 head worth?
  12. What would you guys recomend in the way of slicks? Sizes and approximate costs (and suitable rim widths required) , keen to give the drags a serious go. Does everyone run the more expensive radials simply for a shot at the hpi lists or are there other reasons.
  13. I have a td06-19c also, its internal gate tho, what exh housing do you have? Beware the standard 19c comp wheel is a diesel design and is very average, i doubt its ability to make the power levels your after. I was forced to change comp wheels since the original one was shagged and thankfully now have a larger garret comp wheel. you'll need different injectors rb20-25 also
  14. As per topic, clutch to suit R34 RB25 gearbox Looking for a decent single or twin plate clutch, if you have a stock clutch il consider that too and have it rebuilt. Cheers Mail to [email protected] or mobile 0423819277 Dont bother posting here as im not going to be near an internet connection for a week or more.
  15. Will have my hybrid td06/garret equipped rb20 on the rollers in the first few weeks of jan..keen to see what it makes. Have been cruising around with a street tune (ie tuned on the road) running bugger all timing but lots of boost and the old red top is coping with 20psi pretty well. On the note of lag...the td06 is lag city but looking at an old dyno sheet for the turbo (before it was rebuilt with garret comp etc) it made 1bar just past 4k while the old t3 used to make that at 3k...anyway to get to the point despite the lag of the td06 the graph shows it making 250rwhp at 4k as its hitting boost while the t3 took untill 7600rpm to do that... SK; On the note of tuning, what sort of ign advance would you recomend running on the rb20 (while running high boost levels) and what sort of revlimit? Is set at 8k now but i want to drop that a little in the interests of longevity. Roy; i know what you mean regarding the performance of the car fluctuating, mine is a shocker! Bad luck regarding the car, its the first time im glad i stuck with low mount! Is your exh housing etc ceramic coated?
  16. aybee, doesnt matter if it needs a new manifold or not.. the turbo is not a 'high mount' untill its put on a high mount manifold
  17. highmount, lowmount..depends on the manifold not the turbo
  18. hr31's are meant to be fetching the same price at auction as 32's now, meggala would know he's an importer
  19. Not on mine, had the pcv tho. They add a bit more time and labour to the cost but really only a matter of drilling/cutting the hole and having the welder tig in some tube of a suitable size
  20. Yes, not practical for most who dont have access to the equipment but is easy once your in a workshop. Looking at cost for a pipe such as that stainless bends are ~$20ea as are reducers. Your looking at needing one 3" and one 2.5" bend for every two intake pipes plus about $5 worth of straight pipe and the cone reducer 2.5-3" plus someone to tig it together. Hope that helps to get the buy under way
  21. Just use a stainless cone reducer of the front of the turbo, ~20ea. So its a 2.5" to reducer to 3" to the afm Made one up for mine in around 20 minutes, plus time to get it tigged. Really is very easy to do yourself, and cheap.
  22. the std turbo is ball bearing so yes you need a restrictor for the oil feed
  23. with yoke?
  24. Of the GTS in my avatar, but yes same body as passage. If you want 'em PM me what you think theyre worth and go from there
  25. lol, i have adthree moulded mudflaps if you want em
