    i got an extra 130rwhp by adding safc and having the car tuned at SST, as others have said all my mods made the car slower untill it was properly tuned, from 130hp @12psi to 253hp@16psi (it also made 224@12psi) cant be happier

    take a stock rex, add exh, vf22, filter and ecu=high twelves easy as you please. stock turbo 13.1 an sti will do 12's with exh and boost

    what are the general specs or your hiflow simon? do you have a t3 hiflow comp wheel or a t4

    fast31 what other mods were required to get to that level with the hr31?

    when launching the awd makes it heaps easier, dial in revs and dump or slip it. a big power, heavy, rwd skyline on the other hand i imagine would be an absolute pain in the arse to launch. i guess this isnt really driver skill, just launching ability but its makes a huge difference at the strip. i never mentioned motorkhana's, which of course come down to driver ability more than anything else.

    pretty cheap turbo? mnay rex's seem to abe able to do the same times with that mod formula, whereas the r33's times vary wildly with the same mods. does the awd take skill out of the equation when chasing good times? the rwd of skylines is a heap more fun i think having driven both, but not in the wet where it becomes a touch hairy. the rex's also have awesome stability at speed, which is hard to go past.

    anyone know of a place other than nissan to get head to exh manifold gaskets? they want $120..ouch

    how difficult are the bolts in the head? im tackling it this week, removing turbo etc at the same time (turbo shagged under warranty)

    red top rb eccs has smaller injectors, a nasty boost cut @ approx 13psi on std turbo and half that for a hiflow. and is harder to tune std ecu. im not sure about the nics red top in the early hr31's but apparently harder again to get power out off.

    i have no insurance, never leaving the r31 @ uni again. my last car was broken into a while back there as well. i think it has something to do with the people across the road. we need to start a vigilante group catch these low life pricks

    Hey posting this in the wa section as i would prefer to find one locally. im just looking for an safc preferably a second hand older model, to rectify some fuelling issues. any ideas as to where to find one would be appreciated Cheers Nick

    cheers for that. looking for an saf-c atm and steve at sst is going to fix up the running rich problem on the dyno. he had the same prob with his r31 and now has it sorted.

    cant find that link dude? did the fuel filter today, getting a new fuel pump soon but have to put that on hold because the car has started making the same sound it did when the old turbo was dying (a high pitched scream/squeel) im hoping its a gasket, only one left is manifold to head, changing it tomorrow fingers crossed. had nothing but bad luck thus far let me know how you go with that cheers

    hehe that thread got me a bit angry gts2turbo, had to add my bit to help ya out. nate you should think before you post. reread my post, the fm 1200, fuel pump 300 vg turbo 400, boost cut defender, exh 1000 max, etc. pretty small total for a car that will outrun a wrx as simon did when i was driving my old mans rex a few years ago (and simon had the r31still)
