  1. AFM voltage all over the place.. should be at 1.1v at idle or some such.. voltage drops out whilst driving, car stalls, voltage goes back up (even when car still not running).. I'm sure Michael can be more specific.

    Now you're just repeating yourself..
  3. Peter, thankyou for your superfast delivery & excellent product. We've checked & changed so many things over the past year and then when the car started stalling in the middle of the freeway etc it got very dangerous. The interface has been invaluable, being able to log everything, we diagnosed the problem very quickly. Now we can get on with the fixing and stop stuffing around Cheers Kaz
  4. I'd suggest checking all your rubber hosing eg your tophose, ours blew the other week at a freeway exit at 12am! GAH Bleeding your brakes is also good, and our master cylinders have both gone in the last few months so watch out for brake fluid leaking on your pedals.

  6. I'll PM you the name of an intelligent Nissan person
  7. Hrrm now that I've got it sorted all I want to do is ring Nissan and ask how much everything is to replace (incl stuff we don't need yet)
  8. $100? HAH I just got quoted $330 for a stock afm from TNH pfft Maybe thats just caus I'm a chick and they think I don't know better? I don't know but I hope noone would be stupid enough to pay $330. Merlin you don't happen to have a working one do you?
  9. Hi all, I need a replacement Air Flow Meter for an R32 (stock RB20). No longer after a z32, but still after another AFM with a green sticker or possibly a pink one, around the $100 mark, in good condition. Pics can be sent to [email protected] Will get back to you fairly promptly. Only interested in a Melbourne pickup (as we want to test the voltage & have consult software). Please let me know where you're located. Cheers!! Kaz
  10. from memory recon'd compressors are like $400+ alone.

  15. what area? south/north/west/east?
  16. do you do COD?
  17. Kamikaze: no, just standard rego cost ($560odd). You just need to show them your old rego papers & photo id. Also if your NSW rego is still current you can claim a refund from the RTA. They will probably make you get a new VIC licence too ($27odd). You're supposed to notify them within like 3months of moving here.. however.. there are certain benefits to leaving your rego interstate as long as possible..
  18. Anyhoo, white gets really bad stains on it as well unless you're willing to polish your arse off every week. I know you're looking at a 33 (commonly called a 'boat'.. hehe this will start an argument), but if you get a 32 be prepared to have it off the road 3/4 of the year Soon as you fix something, something else breaks..! Could just be due to age but still.. If you still want that boot room, forget a skyline... luckily we have a 180 with fold down seats which is the 'furniture transporter'.. And not only more police attention but attention from thieves also, you'd want an alarm as a minimum but thats probably only going to stop your amateur vandals really. Anyhow GL, you came to a good place to ask these questions
  19. 'cept you? hehehe joking (but only joking so your fiancee doesn't slap me)
  20. Actually I don't really think the whole impounding thing/'police have no power' is a load of b/s since I was speaking to our TMU friend a few months ago about this exact thing and he said somewhere like... Wagga?.. it's a pain in the ar5e caus the cops impound them but it's costing them heaps of money as they have nowhere to store the cars, so they have to be driven about 1hr or 2hrs away or some such to the impound lot.. (or whatever). Of course the details are a bit sketchy caus it was a while ago now. I'll be sure to ask next time I speak to him. Anyway I totally support the idea of impounding all the commodores that do burnouts across from our house at 3 in the morning etc etc, and hopefully even the twat in the 31 that almost ran into me (in the 'line) the other day doing fishtails (he didn't seem to mind there was cars coming either)... but I'd be more interested to know how exactly you're supposed to defend yourself if someone 'dobs' you in and you're innocent. Personally I can think of better ways to throw away money than buying new tyres/new rear ends etc and have no desire to do burnouts etc, but theres nothing stopping some fool from making a false report. And I'm not sure about the noise, but yes you can already dob in someone for smoky exhaust or littering (incl throwing cigarette butts out windows or something flying off the back of a trailer), just to clarify.

    Its A Girl!

YAY!! Congratulations! A wonderful girl and a beautiful name to boot! Little girls are soooooo much better (hehe) Where's the SAU babysitting club!? Stay healthy & happy and we better see you all soon
  23. yep our insurance went up when we moved due to the postcode (both with shannons and just cars) but also went down due to more secure parking.. so in the end even with a more expensive postcode it was a little bit cheaper.
  24. Agreed about the hyundai fog light at the back.. but theres nothing more annoying than spankers with 6 friggin lights at the front. And blinding people with badly adjusted fog and/or driving lights is probably going to end up causing an accident, not avoiding one.
