I hope your tinted windows are a legal tint caus its a very easy way for them to get out of paying a claim. Aren't EBC's illegal? Also another way for them to take your money but not pay a claim. The only mods they cover are LEGAL mods and they do have a device they put over the windows to check the tint. If you have illegal mods<>driving an UNRW car they won't give you squat unless the cars stolen and never recovered (& unless of course you listed the illegal mods on the policy). Anyhow I imagine that quote is about right for someone with a rating 4. Are you sure the others your age didn't have a higher rating?

spotted a .. red? 33 on Glasshouse Mountains Rd at about 3:30 on Sat 22/10.. Veilside sticker on window.. saw him a few times. also a 180 a little earlier, maybe 3pm, on the freeway leading to g/house rd, pulled over, obviously having problems. It's so odd that it was behind a fence and in a panel shop and yet stolen and taken for a joyride.. These kind of thefts mostly occur when young kids need a lift home and take the first available car off the street. Let alone the fact that they already had a car (corolla or whatever)..

guys instead of whinging about it here you should go and make a complaint about the officers you dealt with, I can find out the best way to make a complaint, if you like. You won't achieve much by just posting about it. I understand what its like to have a complaint dismissed and looked at in disbelief and whatever else. Wednesday: 180 billowing smoke.. needs turbo swapped Saturday night 12am: 32 splits coolant hose on freeway exit Saturday night 12:02am: Legendary 'Ed' restores our faith in commodore drivers and not only tows us home but helps push car up arsehole driveway. 3 out of 3 off the road. :~( Anyone with a spare 32 radiator top hose.. feel free to drop it off in the morning for free beer (after you drive us to the shops to get beer??!).. Well depending on outcome of above, don't be surprised if we aren't at the bbq.. again!

I've seen a green one near Juves in sth morang (best takeaway pasta ever!) plates malooo or something.. that it? stood out quite a bit Anyway we were thinking of coming along, depending what time we got home from the wedding tonight (and how much alcamohole consumed).. but since the 180 now needs a turbo (as of Friday).. and the 32 just split the top radiator hose tonight on the freeway exit coming home.. doesn't look too likely!! BAH! There ought to be a sticker checklist (or something) on ALL car parts that stores have to complete before sale.. ie Is this Aus standard? y/n Is this an illegal mod in the state of .....? y/n (Is this overpriced/gheye and nothing but wank factor? y/n) And so forth... Might make it a little bit clearer and make more people impulse buy.. rather than "may not be legal for street driven cars" or whatever (ie check at your own leisure).

shannons told us we need to fax through a receipt for the alarm *paying about 2.3k for a 23yr old rating 1 for a 32 (practically no diff in $ with gtr/gtst). i think they both said they wont insure a remote start alarm either (but not 100% sure on that). I think they wanted a 3point immobiliser from memory. Main difference between shannons and just cars (imo) is shannons = lifetime guarantee on repairs, choice of repairer .. just cars = 3yr guarantee, must match or beat quote from one of their approved repairers if you want to fix elsewhere (bit of a F around). I think Shannons is better.. even their home insurance covers specialist tools in a garage.. but their quotes are double Just Cars (but we are both under 25). blackskyline: what about if you swap the viper wiring harness to a black one? Surely that would make the alarm acceptable? (was thinking about upgrading to viper.. maybe not!)

bit of a grey area for me! I just realised today that I didn't end up getting a receipt for my alarm install.. I have the box.. thats about it. They'd probably use that to try to get out of it (as usual). Maybe you can give a workshop $20 to 'check' the alarm is installed properly & keep that as proof... no idea. :\ Let me know if you think of something better Also depends on the insurance company but most companies that insure imports/$$$cars ask for proof eg Shannons. *Actually from memory Just Cars said they need a receipt from a workshop with an ABN or some such. Don't know, ring yours anon & ask

Ages ago... RACV sent me a cheque to get damage fixed (someone else at fault) after receiving a quote from one of their approved repairers.. and I was told I could just keep the money and not fix the damage (was pretty minor and didn't give a rats ar5e anyway)... so I did! Its none of her business if you get it fixed or not.. she's liable for the damage one way or another. I'd just ring her and ask her to put it in your name & tell her you don't have cash lying around to fix the car, you need the full amount asap, give her back the other cheque. Are you going through insurance or privately?
