I think it was about $200 for a master & slave cylinder from Nissan for the 32. I think we still have the slave at home if you need one (for a 32 no idea what else its compatible with). r32 gtst master cyl 30610-91P07 slave cyl 30501-B6064

You sure you're not a chick? Flash him your boobs or something? I drove past 16 cop cars on Monday with a.. slightly.. loud exhaust and not one pulled me over.. I'm still waiting for the EPA notice too!

19" wheels, good or bad??
Kaz200 replied to Rhinorebel's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Personally I wouldn't get anything larger than 17"s, 18"s at most.. its just unnecessary and far too expensive.. if its a daily driver... imagine the tyre costs GAH -
Customs Notice on car parts $220?
Kaz200 replied to Reedy's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
PSI_GTS11: nengun - yep and definately luck of the draw.. smaller packages aren't noticed too much But... they don't charge GST/customs on items marked as "GIFT".. -
Well I don't know about the weekend just passed but I saw 16 police cars today including 2 cops on honda bikes or something.. could barely tell they were cops (except for a 'police' sticker on the bikes and cop badges on their jackets) & 2 unmarked cars also. Again the cops were on the Tullamarine @ 9 this morning pulling someone over.. I think 5mins later the same car was behind me getting my plates... for an epa notice I'm sure (swapped the zorst on the weekend, its slightly louder now..) It was also import 'blitz' today.. I saw at least as many imports as cops! Including a Learner in a 33.
-
Hey perhaps if we posted on the Commodore forums about a 'police blitz' every weekend.. there would be far less noise, burnouts and road rage caus they'd all stay home.. *wishful thinking*

Commercial Rd rofl.. well maybe they were offduty and just meeting up beforehand Possibly the ravers were hooking up with them for the afterparty/lift... they did have a people mover after all Don't suppose any of them looked like this?

Adding more octane to premium wouldn't hurt it.. but you'd have less combustion and reduce your power so no, it's more likely to run slower than 'faster'. However, one of our friends in Brisbane added 2 bottles of octane booster "need more POWAH" to his v8 commodore or whatever he owns and it wouldn't start.. so I wouldn't recommend it

Every decent tuner I've ever been to has told me to use copper plugs in both the CA and the rb20. I don't know why you would gap the plugs differently, surely that would be worse not better. And with iridiums/plats at $20 each you'd want to be pretty careful not to break them whilst gapping.. they are hella thin. I don't see alot of point in iridiums unless someone can explain why they are worth the extra $$.

Gettin Rid Of The Hicas In R32

Installing a turbo timer isn't the best idea if you want better security. I think they're able to hack into the ignition easier. I have a Black Widow alarm in mine with shock sensor.. only been in a few months and working well.. but now I wish that I just spent more and bought a paging remote.. I was literally 2mins walk down the road and kinda in view of the car and I didn't see the shock sensor going off when someone reversed into my parked car recently. They didn't hit it very bad so it would have only beeped & flashed at them, but had they hit it worse I don't know if I would have heard the alarm from there anyway. Anyway the alarm beeped at me when I returned so I knew something had happened which is a good thing I guess. That alarm cost me about $350 incl install. The fact is if someone really wants to steal it, they will, there's not all that much you can do. There are alarms available with GPS tracking, which seems like an excellent idea, but then recently there was a very expensive yacht that was stolen from melbourne & last reported heading to Hobart by the GPS system.. and I believe never recovered.... Most alarms are just a fancy keyless entry. Make sure you get it installed by a professional installer.. don't get it done by some crap franchise, we've had problems with the alarm on our 32 for months. Essential: black wire, battery backup, shock sensor, all opening points covered bonnet/boot etc, 2point, tilt sensor, insurance! Recommend: remote pager (covering a good distance), 3point immobiliser (tho some people have problems with the fuel pump immobiliser) And anything else I've forgotten Hope thats of help

gauges can't be placed any higher than 30cm from the BOTTOM of the (any) dash apparently. Why not paint the rollcage black, less obvious from a distance? If you don't want any harrassment I suggest you move to another state/country
