Ill probs go ill let you know closer to the date n if my skylines back together!!!
-
tanabe usually supply things to nissan like radiators and hoses n ***** are they anything special like hieght adjust. or shocker adjustable if not i didnt know they made shocks!!! Just be carefull with places like pedders cause they try n tell you all this stuff that there "diagnostic machine told them" about you need this that and the other replacing so they can make some money off you
-
yeah i was goin to say that but i didnt know how to explain it the springs sometimes squels where it sits in the shoe of the shock usually cause aftermarket stuff is metal on metal wheras factory have a little rubber boot on the ends of the springs id say a generous amount of electrical tape would do the same thing wrapped around the end of the spring crap job though pulling all the springs out for squeekes!!

I was wondering how i could get hold of some r32 rear quarters preferably that have been cut off the car. They are to be used on a silvia to replace the silvia ones as they are wider and its an easy way to make a steel widebody for the rear of the silvia so i can get 17x10's under it!! Any ppl that would know speak up cause most of the importers dont bring them in:uh-huh:
-
you can first try crc or wd40 on the bushes especialy if some of them have been replaces with urethane stuff!!
-
To the origanal question hype you could get your gearbox rebuilt with double synchros ( only applies to some gearboxes) you can get special synchros that are like have two on each gear i cant remember exactly what they call them at the moment, you could also maybe get the gears angled which would make it like straight cut gears but not as severe once again you can only do this with certain boxes hope this helps
-
i agree dont use the clutch and match the revs especially on upshifts (as its way easier) and on down shifts if you cant get it without the clutch or your lazy (me) ,match the revs close and only dip the cluth 1/4- 1/2 way. Matching the revs means your synchros hardly have to do any work but if you get it rong all the time you might end up with no teeth on your gearset!!! Funkeymonkey next time you drive a ****ter car on an up shift pull it out of gear with out the clutch and as the revs are dieing apply a litte pressure on the next gear at the right revs you will feel the stick go light then push it in fast and thats how you change without the clutch!! Try on a straight change rather than a dogleg until you get the hang!!(ie 3-4 rather than 2-3)

Vision/Hybrid in Artarmon
Fitzpatrick Speed Works replied to chunksmurray's topic in New South Wales
I bought a car off a guy that had all the work carried out by Hybrid in Sydney, BY BY knows the car. Just let me say i have spent probably 30 or so hours already fixing their dodgy workman ship and im not finished, they also came out and inspected the car when i was buying it from the guy and seen as though they worked on the car they knew jack about it. Heres a little snippet of just a few of the probs i have encountered: they snapped all the plasctic off the afm where they bolt up-so instead of either replacing them or sanding them down neat and round and clamping them they super glued the broke bit and zipped tied them on, or how about instead of clamps holding on my intercooler pipes there was zip ties, they also said they put trust silicone based fluid in for the brakes so i topped it up with a silicone based fluid which then reacted and corroded my brake lines cause in fact it wasnt trust silicone based fluid, or the fact the inlet pipe on the turbo is held on with clamps that have 6mm bolts that were stripped and werent doin anything and letting air in through a 1 inch gap stright onto the turbo wheels, or the fact its a single turbo now yet they left all the piping in for the second turbo instead of simply removing it, thats just the start believe it is just the start nothing major just dodgy little stuff that should have been done right the first time. Also a friend of mine has carried out flow bench tests on hybrid cores and they wont flow enough air for anything over 220kw at the wheels keep this in mind if your looking to do more down the track -
lots of farkin traffic lights stuffed me up as i was at the bak great to see some of you guys out there!!
-
farkn oath hey i hate those poofs they are doin nuthin but raisin money i agree with red light cameras cause thats bad but if you speed up 10k to get through the lights and you get fined thats just sh*t house

heres what it looked like a few hours ago
-
heres a few pics of what im whingin about, the turbo backlash blew the pipe off the turbo causing some major drama in the tuning( basically alot off air went missing but it still had the same fuel ie very rich) couldnt drive it on boost. But i have done a qucik fix ( still legit just not the best solution that comes when i high mount the turbo) and will have it there on FRi. hERES what it shoulkd look like!!
-
heres some pics why ther R might not be there, but i will still be comin no matter what. This is a pic of what it should look like!!

Shops in Canberra
Fitzpatrick Speed Works replied to SupaFly Skyline's topic in Australian Capital Territory
Mate i would highly recommend Powatone in Fyshwick, if you go there make sure a guy called raff works on it and youll get the best friggin exhaust job ever. I think he's done about close to ten for my family ranging from custom one off extractors out of stainless to muffler replacements never had a bad word to say about his work -

Why do people pick on Nengun?
Fitzpatrick Speed Works replied to akira's topic in General Automotive Discussion
not defending the aus companies that do put a large mark up but think of it this way how often would yor local performance shop sell an apexi PFC for a skyline, not often so they do have to make more on it than a person like nengun that would sell alot more. To be honest i would probs give nengun a go if i decide to by something that he stocks mainly cause around here he has a good reputation and yes it is cheaper plus i agree with the fact that alot of aus shops are very arrogant especially in Sydney. Oh and damqik i agree that if you by a jap car that you have kind of devioded putting money back into aus so you may as well by the right parts from japan for the car. -
A friend of mine who is a fibreglasser will be comin around to look at my front gaurds n bonnet as towords the end of the yr we might be going to make a mould off them and make carbon firbre ones. I will keep you posted if i did sell them they would still be pretty expensive due to the cost of material and how long they take to clean up, but ill let you know:)

Why do people pick on Nengun?
Fitzpatrick Speed Works replied to akira's topic in General Automotive Discussion
I have absolutely no grips with nengun seems like a good operation he has set up over there and his prices are damn near impossible to bet, i do believe however, this is just my thoughts, that it is better to by here due to things like: its lost somewhere between here and here, or nah mate ive sent it must be held up at your end, after buying alot out of the states from very reputable names the importing of parts just gives me the sh_ts, im not saying this sort of thing happens with nengun but if it was me id rather pay another $100-200 from someone in Aus that can be tracked or can do something if its wrong quickly, plus your putting money back into australia. Just my thoughts:uh-huh:
