  1. i've let the fuel pump prime for ages, does nothing....also had the fuel filter replaced. my mechanic made the cold start idle go higher when cold, so it revs 1000rpm+ but hasn't been helping it start when cold...
  2. you should be able to buy it back before it goes to auctions yes.
  3. omg i have the exact same problem on my r33 series2, only happens in the morning when cold, fuel pump was checked by mechanic and is completely fine. Someone know what this might be? *i have new spark plugs, new o2 sensor etc & service done* My mechanic couldn't find the problem.....
  4. umm Freedoms car park? lol
  5. best thread ever, also because i get mine turbotech soon too and have a r33, can anyone post pics up ? cheers
  6. spotted my car at the mechanics...........all week !!! i'm having withdrawal symptoms from driving it haha
  7. thanks beki! lets see some pics with the stock lights, might do this to my r33 dash
  8. your o2 sensor will probably be F**KED if you haven't replaced it yet hehe.
  9. mine does the same, hell a barina sri kept up with my r33 gtst on a 40degree day.....i was like wtf? i believe that if you have a pod filter shield it off, do whatever you can to get colder air in and should be a bit better. but yeah turbos sucking in hot air does't exactly make performance increase..
  10. i wont be fussed as long as i don't get more than 10psi haha, even if it's a little below. I'll check that afmm i think your right it could need a clean! cheers
  11. Cheers! yeah i bought that turbotech manual boost controller, apparently it doesn't bleed/spike much at all..?
  12. OK talked to the mechanic, i thought because it's running rich the new o2 sensor should make it run normal again?. He thinks that even if i replace the o2(which is completely stuffed) it will still run rich as long as it has the standard ecu? Also hasn't rectified the starting cold in the morning problem, the fuel pump tested out fine...duno?
  13. yep agreed, maybe try a few wreckers they always have jap mufflers around to sell.
  14. i've got a kakimoto oval exhaust with 3inch piping doesn't drone at all, sounds nice
  15. arghhh my eyes they burn!
  16. how much do they start from?, besides i bought the turbotech one from ebay, the thread on this forum suggests they are very good...? i'm only looking to set it to 10/11psi boost at the moment
  17. ahh ok thanks, that cleared a lot of things up!! So i need to look for a aftermarket turbo guage now lol, i've already ordered the turbotech boost controller so i'll check it out! now just have to think of where to mount a boost guage below the dash somewhere....hmm

  19. Hello, i have a r33 gtst with following mods: aftermarket FMIC 3in kakimoto exhaust system with 3inch cat & 3in dump pipe.(soon to be installed) HKS pod filter Kind of new to the turbo side of cars so just have a few quick questions , What kind of boost would i be running with those mods usually? As i'm thinking of installing a boost controller and setting it to 10psi (stock turbo), but maybe it's already running that ammount of boost ? i would have to get a boost guage to find out what sort of boost i'm getting now wouldn't i, the stock boost guage in the dash only goes to 7psi right? cheers
  20. Aweasome!, and they wanted $500 lol...ttshh. I'll let ya's know how it goes
  21. Cheers! I hope it's a huge difference. Altogether it's costing me about $1400, with new o2 sensor, 3inch cat, dump pipe, gaskets etc. Also includes before/after dyno tune+labour. I just got the car and it's costing me heaps haha.... Whats the best way to increase the boost, they wanted to install at switch to change from stock/12psi boost.....for like $500 though lol? i thought there must be a cheaper option..boost controller? but thought they are illegal..duno
  22. Thanks! yeah those prices are with labour included etc that i quoted, so i suppose it aint a bad price. Will the dump pipe give me much performance increase over what it is now(stock)?
  23. Okay well i got quoted: $220 for oxy sensor(broken), $750-dump pipe, gaskets, 3inch cat converter. Then a few hundred extra for dyno tune before/after. do these prices seem right?
  24. I had a very similar problem to yours, it was an air leak, check all your hoses! i had a tiny crack in one of my rubber hoses (10cm hose and it was not hitting full boost at all even when i floored it, replaced it with a new hose and worked perfectly, boost was just as it had been before! try that...
  25. thanks! i'll ask the mechanic to check that too, mine is chewing a fair bit of petrol actually..........ahh skylines when does it end ? lol Does anyone know what sort of power gains you get from getting a new turbo dump pipe??
