  1. turns out the lack of boost was a huge air leak in one of the rubber hoses..& ok well i talked to the mechanic, he'll check out the fuel pump tommorow. I was going to get steel piping done to replace some of the rubber/plastic piping from the turbo to air filter already there but he thought it wouldn't make much difference performance wise. So i will probably be getting a dump pipe installed instead and boost switch to change between stock boost & 12psi boost ?. let me know what you think!
  2. cheers mate!, i've got a plump back GFB bov, that can be adjusted to be silent........would that make it legal you think?
  3. Thanks for the replies! i'll check the fuel pump, the car has fmic, bov, cat back exhaust system. Might change the bov to a stock one? would that be okay running say 10psi boost?
  4. My r33 gtst has been running a bit rough lately, seems to run really rich and i can smell fuel......it's just been sluggish really. problems so far are: - Fuel pump is loud, and car has trouble starting in the mornings (i'm assuming i'll have to change that this wk, how much are they usually?) - I don't seem to be getting much boost, even if it's a cold night and i give it a fair bit! (was boosting great a week ago though..) - & i'm thinking the bov is leaking perhaps as when i adjust it, it tends to stall at random times!. (could be the fuel pump) OK It's just have a full service, people have been recommending a dyno tune?. Since i have the stock ecu will the dyno tune fix the car from running rich and overall improve it? What have your experiences been with dynos using stock ecu?, any decent power increases? oh and before somel start saying "do a search" i have, oh yes really it's true lol. but i couldn't find the exact answer i was looking for, so i'm asking you's k thnx cheers!
  5. ^^^ LOL yeah exactly my thoughts juddier31, my fuel pump seems to be on it's way out and my car stalled a few times, perhaps it could be that ??

  10. hmm i duno you higher your car, put stock wheels on it, remove the spoiler, remove intercooler, turbo, bov... then you are different lol stickers looks okay on some cars but ehh they look better on drift/racing setup cars.
  11. lol thanks for the replies people, i've got some idea of how to do it now! even if i block it off the bov is still probably defectable lol? might have to change to stock one if anyone has a spare one. cheers
  12. thanks to those who gave helpful replies, and no i aint getting a vl haha. Is there a way i can get rid of the BOV and not have the car running rough? i haven't been able to find a stock one yet to replace it, i'd just rather have no pttshhh noise you can easily hear, the flutter is better
  13. Hello, i've got a GFB aftermarket bov on my r33 made specifically to bolt onto a r33. however i want to get that flutter noise more, do i just remove the bov somehow completely? i'd rather have the flutter more than the "pttshh" lol. What do i have to seal off/relocate, any help would be grateful! Cheers!
  14. ok cool, if you just buy the white dials, do you have to get the illuminous lights, or will it look okay with just the stock ones? cheers anyone got pics ?

  19. Hello all, i used to own a r32 GTS a while back with full kit, exhaust, rims etc etc. But i missed the great handling and sporty feeling you get from the skyline, so i went and got a skyline again, only this time found a r33 gtst series 2 . I've been using these forums every now and then, and must say adelaide have some very nice skylines around i've seen!, So yeah just thought i'd introduce now haha! Cheers!! Murry. So far it's got : sparco racing wheels, exhaust, tint, full alarm+immob, stereo, fmic. Pic:
  20. Just got a few questions, im in SA so i'm assuming most states have the same laws. I bought my r33 with a aftermarket bov on it, which bolts directly where the stock one was. At the moment it's make the loud pttshhh noise, even though i've turned it down (adjustable) Is there a way to just remove this bov and leave nothing there, OR can you buy aftermarket BOV's that are actually legal? Cheers people! rb25det engine by the way.
