  1. it all depends on the age of the car, the amount you earn etc. I had troubles trying to borrow 17k for my car! and I had permanent employment for 1 year! and the repayments were only around 350 a month and they were hesitant. The only reason why I got it was because I had saved 7k to top up with the loan to buy the car + insurance. You need a stable income (part/full time). You need a savings history. And if you're going for a car loan, the age of the car will also determine if they lend out the cash or not. The bank is just covering their ass.
  2. it's an Apexi kit.. i got one too. with blue piping back to the stock piping? I think one of the Apexi cooler ranges were called Hybrid.
  3. i thought the EJ motors had trouble with one of the cylinders failing.. something like cylinder 1 always runs lean and is the cause for 80% of EJs going pop? im no export but, so dont' quote me. disregarding chassis and speaking purely about the motor, I think the EJ would be better.. as you said, lighter for a start. You can make decent power with both...
  4. the stock BOV cannot be used in a VTA situation because the spring is too soft and cannot be adjusted. You can run an aftermarket VTA BOV with the stock ECU, you just have to adjust it properly. If it's stalling then the spring is probably too soft and staying open too long. The only problem with VTA BOVs is running rich during gearchanges when the BOV vents I was running a Greddy Type S and now a GFB StealthFX, both with no problems with stalling whatsoever.
  5. does it feel slow? 104rwkw would be a very sluggish r33...
  6. would they fit like factory ones do? like they click into place? or will these ones be different?
  7. prolly up to the windscreen wiper... im pretty sure it sprays from that.
  8. we don't have tolls in Perth ....
  9. my coin holder is my wallet i never leave money in my car .. makes the car less enticing for opportunists. I have a drink holder, which is next to the centre console.
  10. it is illegal to have different tyres on the same axle. if you can't get back the same tyre, you'll have to get 2 new tyres.
  11. I much prefer the series 1 style of cluster .. are the faces interchangable?
  12. then it's a risk you take with your car.
  13. sorry to hear that the GTR was stolen .. unfortunately, they're desirable cars and worth a bit of coin, so people are always going to try and take them. In my mind, if you cannot afford the insurance, you can't afford the car. If nobody will insure you, then wait till someone will. This guy obviously didn't want to wait, and paid the ultimate price. He's probably sort of well off anyway, if the car was under any sort of finance, it would of needed to be fully insured.
  14. hey mate, give em till the end of the week or somethin, then don't worry about it. i want my guide!!
  15. can't say im a fan of those wheel arches, but everything else is nice!
  16. exactly, that lump sum of cash is to set him up for the rest of his life, especially if he's unable to work ever again. it's not to blow on some piece of shit car. some people need a reality check. i think compensation payments for situations like this should be trickled to the person. That way they live off the money and not blow it on stupid shit.
  17. so the guy is disabled and blows all of his compo money on a hunk of metal ... i hope he doesn't sponge off taxpayers after this little splurge.
  18. yes, the backseat was a bit of a hassle to get off.. my mate and i did it to whack the GTR seats in a bit of a nudge here and there, out came a big f**k off screw driver .. and that was it ... easy as pie!
  19. my gtst is a 5 seater. u can "turn" it into a 4 seater by hiding or removing the middle seatbelt .. its not too hard to do, just remove the rear seat and you can see.
  20. go to a caryard and go for a testdrive .. they get paid whether you waste their time or not
  21. If your dogs will can sit on the seat and stay there, then I don't think there'd be any probs. However if they like to move around, then I think the coupe will be too small for you. I'm nearing the 6ft mark and there is no room behind my seat. You can see from my seating position there isn't any leg room there, so if you're around my height, your dogs would have to actually be on the seat. the only way your dogs would be able to get into the front whilst driving would be through the centre console area.
  22. Here's a pic. It looks like there's a big ding in the side, there isn't.. must be the angle of the shot. Overall, the pod length is about 20cm.
  23. half the reason I believe for such a crappy road toll is the fact that you have trev running in his old POS banged up shitter which has safety features from 1972. other countries make scrap out of cars older than 10 years .. with more modern safety standards, people are less likely to die.
