  1. something that i remember from uni in regards to wireless transmission. sound (music) is a whole spectrum of frequencies. bass is the lower range frequencies, treble is high. Frequency modulation (or AM for that matter) allows transmission of this spectrum of frequencies over a single frequency (ie what you tune your radio to). However to transmit the whole spectrum requires infinite power (not possible) so a compromise takes place. Hence why FM doesn't sound as good as CD.

  3. when you replaced the pads, did you get the rotors machined? if your brakes squeal then this is generally the cause. it should not cost $940 to machine the rotors but.
  4. hmm odd .. my car is relatively stock but i don't get the black coat. generally when you start raising boost and stuff you'll get it as the ECU over compensates
  5. i don't reckon you'll get full boost (4-6psi) at 2000rpm with gtr or rb20 turbos. a gtr can't even get full boost at 2000 rpm.. and you want to put those or 2 rb20 turbos on? hmmm....
  6. twin capuccino turbos?
  7. i get just about 12.5L/100 kms with a mix of normal and hard driving in the city. I have a 33 gtst.
  8. get it checked by a third party like an inspection service which specialises in used cars. they are under no obligation and will give you a straight answer to the things wrong with the car.
  9. Azzurra, I can't say if the adaptor is genuine or not as stated earlier.. there isn't a stamp on it but i can assure you that it fits perfectly on my R33. I have PMed you with the name of another interested guy. I have also PMed him to see if he wants the BOV for 175 (the balance of 210). Cheers Alex.
  10. if Azzurra wants to pay $50 for the adaptor then yep.
  11. I got mine as an alarm function. It's not auto but, it's a set 90 seconds. I generally just turn the car straight off though as I normally take it easy on the way home.
  12. hey AzzurrA, not sure if it's a genuine Greddy adaptor, but it fits perfectly to the BOV and the R33 BOV location. There is no stamp though. The BOV is genuine Greddy for sure but
  13. krayzie32, i'm giving you until 5pm tomorrow to let me know your details so I can COD it to you, otherwise I'm going to seperate it out to AzzurrA and drift monkys. Guys, if you're still interested in the parts seperately, talk amongst yourselves to see how much each of you are paying the $210 total. To keep postage down (since I have to pay double postage), I'd like to have a bank deposit from each of you and I'll get some parcel post paks tomorrow night if it eventuates. cheers.
  14. im the same. i got a 3" exhaust, fmic and solenoid mod (so it's always in high boost mode) and in a R33, i get 11psi from my gauge. does fmic and exhaust make 3 psi? i'm a bit hesitant as i don't have the cash to replace the turbo if it blows, and i hear it here all the time about overboosting the stock turbs.
  15. buy yourself (or your car) an early xmas present!!
  16. i would .. but only if someone else comes along with the need for only the BOV.
  17. Item: Greddy Type-S blow off valve and adaptor for Skyline. Location: Perth, WA Item Condition: Used, few scratches but working perfectly. Reason for Selling: After a change. Price and Payment Conditions: $210 firm. Includes postage (parcel post). No pics sorry, don't have a digi cam. But can assure you it's the genuine item and not a knock off. PM me or reply here for any more details.
  18. if it comes down to management then i'll be going PowerFC all the way, as I plan on going a bigger turbo when funds permit. Hoping it's just an adjustment away.
  19. hey alan, i'll have a look into that .. it's definitely cheaper than a new computer! powerfc wouldn't fix the problem if it was the bov anyway! i have a greddy type-s which vents to air, so it may well be that opening under full load. it explains why normal driving is still fine.
  20. hmm .. was hoping not to resort to a new computer so soon .. let me know how it goes.
  21. Hey guys, Yesterday, I had installed an Apexi FMIC kit (return to stock piping type) and one of BATMBL's split dump pipes. Current performance mods are: Apexi FMIC Kit. 3" exhaust. K&N pod filter. Boost solenoid grounded (so it's in high mode 100%) Normal driving is perfectly fine, and also a bit of boost (ie not flooring it) is perfect. However, when I give the car some shit it will feel like it's being held back by something... it doesn't want to pull all the way to redline. Now I've searched and read up on ECU R&R and the taping coils and stuff but the car doesn't sound like it's misfiring. In fact, it sounds pretty normal except it doesn't feel like it's going anywhere. I doubt it's clutch slip either. (does anyone know what a stock clutch will hold?) Anyone had similar experiences or know what could be the problem? Cheers.
  22. yeah .. i much prefer the S2 front and interior too.
  23. so you're having troubles wiring a rb25det into a 180sx, and you want to convert to toyota v8 power. don't you think the wiring for that would be just as difficult if not harder?
