Put me down Terry. Been way to long and would be good to catch up.

Happens in all of them. Did a 15min race tonight, spun out with 4 mins to go, was 20 secs behind the leader. Within 2 laps I was in front yet my laps where within 1 sec of my others at the beginning and there was a consistent 15sec gap for 5 laps or so. Takes all the fun out of it.

Other than the SAU time attack in the other thread, getting pretty bored with this. Driving the cars is fun don't get me wrong, but fark me the AI is terrible. Had a race where i was in second with 1 lap to go at Spa, 8 secs behind the leader and was that far behind for the prev 4 laps. By the end of the last lap, i was 3 secs in front, no rubbing, clean pass, yet my lap only improved by 1 sec from the previous lap. Its like every race, with 1 lap to go, all the AI cars slow down. Makes the game boring as batsh!t. So then i go on to multiplayer, and every race has at least one 8 year old, driving the wrong way around the track. I think its time to go back to iRacing. 100x better in every way other than the variety of cars. Close racing, fair racing and challenging. Oh and my god are the sounds crap. Where they always this bad in Gran turismo

I'll be trying the 32 tonight. and, its Godzilla, it should cream the 35

Definitely not. They're not some mythical beast that only runs on the blood of stripe-less tigers or something. GTR's cost a fortune when people forget they own a production street car and think they own the Winfield or Calsonic Grp A race car. If you're doing limiter launch's off of every set of lights and think you can take a stock GTR and ring its arse off every day, it will cost a fortune. But so will every other car on the planet. Reality is, if you drive it within its limits, they are just like any other car Also a lot of people will tell you they only run on $200 engine oil, or race spec gearbox oil. Its crap. Yes you can use the best of the best, and some do (yes I'm guilty of that) but you don't always need to. My experience is that all Skylines i've had are quite reasonable to own if you look after them, and actually are aware that you aren't driving a race prepared bullet proof car.

nice lap mad, and have to agree. I just watched my replay and massive lock up running wide all the way into turn 2, and a stuff up here and there up around the top. Also there's probably heaps of time in playing with the suspension But this is fun, was getting starting to get bored with it but now have something to go for

Had a break. Came back and did a 1:56.996. Same tuned 35 gtr.
-
Thanks mate, and I was right, same car details, still a fairly messy lap 1:57.478 I now think there's def a 1:56 in a 35
-
Tine - 1:58.452 Name - Nismon1 Car - R35 12 Black Edition I think there's def a 1:57 in it, as out braked myself and ran wide on a fair few corners. 35 is fast, but for fun, gab a MP4-12c, tune it with everything and give that a rap around Bathurst. Awesome car, but hard to tame and can only do a 2:01 in it

Also should have added, after a more traditional Oval type, not a cannon

Any updates guys? My muffler has had it and has developed a rattling noise inside. Its an old 90's NISMO system so nothing unexpected given its age. I want to keep the tip though so looking for 1) a good muffler, and 2) a place in Sydney that can do a good job adding my tip. Also NISMO's are pretty quiet as is, so if anything i wanted something a little more raspy. Not loud just tougher sounding. Any suggestions?

sounds good. Mt Panorama would be great. If anyone wants to add me, I'm nismon1

Yep, 33's look soft as. -
got no problem with the idea of a 34 only meet, good luck to you, pics should be great. But did I read right that you're hiring security to tell people to not look at your cars that you have chosen to park in a public carpark?

^ heard the opposite. Sort of. Saw a review on the new cars where they were saying will see a decent increase in wheel spin on corner exit which will put more strain on the rears. So may be more durable than this year but expecting more stress as well.

2002 here as well. You got me thinking and just jumped on Skylines Downunder, where all the cool kids were hanging before Christian got this place going. Alot of familiar names. Just in a few threads, obviously Prank, Shell was there, Nick, Fatz, Kabab Warps, OZ

Definitely come along and don't listen to the guy saying you won't be welcome. I've had 2 different V35's, attended several events including track days with both and never once did I feel unwelcomed. What a load of crap. Just look at the mix of cars the NSW members, let alone execs drive. Everything from skylines, to stageas, to evo's to commodores to mx5's.

Agree with this guy. ^ Unless you're after a rebuilt modded car, you'd be nuts to spend your money on anything else. especially if its something with light mods. Those come easy, a car as good as bob's does not.

Finally found the dyno chart from when i had mine tuned. The bottom line is stock, and the top is 16psi. Both are with everything stock except Nistune ECU, exhaust and pod filters. Started maxing out the AFM's so we stopped, but has had that tune since 09 and for me its perfect. That curve is why i love the N1's. Very drivable. Not bad for a stockish 20yr old car
