hey Colin, time is exactly it. I'm not someone who just discovered imports a week ago, and have bought both locally and imported several times. So i know the pitfalls and potential traps. I've also been driving imports since back when people would see the GT badge on my 33, and ask me if this was the new falcon GT, and police would pull me over to have a chat about the car The idea of this thread was to try and get some specific experiences so i don't have to spend two weeks driving around to every Sydney dealership to weed out the ones i wouldn't want to touch. You guys don't have to convince me that there are great importers, i know this, and have used them. But if there is a legitimate car here, why wait 6 months to get my car on the road.

Although i wouldn't change one out, i def don't think they're a nice gearbox. My 32 GTR which is 20 years old, feels 100 times better than anything i have ever driven in an early manual V35 coupe. There's a tonne of info in US forums on these and the general consensus was that the auto was a much better combo in these cars.

I've had both, auto and manual, and just my opinion, but hated the manual. I originally imported an auto, and thought, awesome car, but would love a manual, so sold it 6 months later and bought a manual. There's just something about that gearbox/engine/clutch combo that i hated. It just never felt right, even after a clutch/flywheel change. Sold the car within 6 months again.

And awsam I'm pretty sure I've dealt with Igor as well. lol, after 15yrs with imports i get around a bit Looking at what i want though maybe importing will be the go, as have my heart set on a 50th Anniversary 08 sedan, with the red leather seats, adaptive cruise and sunroof, and not to many of those in Aus. There is one with 77000 k's all documented, brought in it seems as a private import but thats about it.

Hey Guys, I'm considering getting back into a V Series and looking at the V36 Sedans. Have always loved them, and loved the 2 V35 Coupe's I've had so no point in going for something else i probably won't be happy in You see a fair few advertised in dealerships around Sydney so just wanted to see if anyone has had any good experiences with a particular dealer who has stock that you can point me to. Same deflectors in mine. Another one heaps of people miss - check your wiper washer bottle in the engine bay. Will only have a place for one pump where as normal GTR's have 2, one for the front wiper spray and one for the rear. Also no radio controls on the dash console. Different brake master cylinder (1 less line due to no ABS) Mine has no boot carpets at all other than the boot floor covering the spare. The rest of the stuff is the same on mine, bar the brembo's. These were a V-spec addition, not an N1/Nismo so all 92/92 N1's didn't have Brembo's factory fitted. Mine actually had a set added aftermarket, but took them off and replaced them with Sumitomo's to keep it as genuine as possible.

Not for a 32 it wouldn't , no idea for a 34, but i imagine it would channel more air in as its not swirling around in the gap thats usually there.

Hey guys, Anyone know where i can get a Garage Defend style full length cooling panel thing? Like this one pictured? Did a search but not much came up thats current. Also doesn't have to be carbon, and no real issue with replica's that fit right. I'm after something to just tidy up the look of that section of the engine bay.
