  1. Great discussion guys! And some good info as well. Someone said a few posts back that getting info on N1's in near impossible, and i can 100% confirm this. I've been in contact with both NISMO and Nissan to try and get any info at all both in general and about my specific N1 (92), and its turned up nothing at all. It really does seem like they had no idea that these would become a version people would be interested in down the track. The one bit of info and the only info i did manage to get, was a somewhat limited spec sheet of how the car rolled off the factory floor, mechanicals wise, and it does confirm, my chassis left the production line with no ABS. I tried to get something to confirm a matching numbers car, and the said they only release engine details to the police still haven't given up though, just trying to find that next angle
  2. My point was the accident happened between 1 guy doing a u-turn, and 1 rally driver mistakenly thinking he was in targa tas. (As for the turning right was he that close to the crest that he couldn't even see headlights in the distance? If he was why would you turn there, why not go down 100m. If he wasn't that close, the rally dude wasn't doing mach 1 so hence he maybe could have seen headlights coming? And if his view was blocked from above mentioned trendy hipsters, again why not go 100m down the road.) I too wasn't there but all seems very avoidable. Hence my natural selection comment. The GTR owner was parked on the side of the street. Registered or not, he had nothing to do with the accident and its cause.
  3. other than the poor GTR owner, reads like natural selection at work.
  4. Haha clean maybe, but yours is much prettier Tez.
  5. Thanks guys, some good ides, and i would take any of those!!! I think i might keep an eye out for LMGT 1's or 2's at this stage and see how i go. Leaning towards 5 spokes. And fatz's panasports are perfect size, just maybe too similar to stock wheels.
  6. turtle wax bug and tar remover - best thing i have ever used. I'm probably one of the most anal people on here when it comes to keeping the car clean and this stuff for this purpose is farken amazing. And completely safe as designed to clean and be gentle on paint.
  7. As per title guys. After 17's in 32GTR offsets. With or without tires.
  8. Need some opinions/ideas Any thoughts on what are a good set of early 90's style wheels for a 32 GTR? After something thats from that period, and in the 17inch range. Have no interest what so ever in 20inch anything. I'm specifically after a more meatier tyre look that was around that era, so 17inch max. Was thinking NISMO LMGT1's, but even they made their appearance on the 33's first. (still, so far close enough) There's also the Impul RS Hoshino's from the Calsonic race 32's or maybe even BBS mesh type thingy's Oh an no 3 spoke advans either. Any ideas? Pics welcomed.
  9. Yeah definitely Tez, been too long.
  10. I'm in. this looks too good to miss
  11. Thanks for starting this topic. Can't believe that with will all the GTR fanatics and car enthusiasts in general on these forums, no-one until now has thought to ask this very question. You sir are the winner of SAU!!!
  12. Yeah it is subscription, but it takes a bit of time to work up through the licenses so it's not an all in one hit cost. I think so far in over 6 months of racing I've probably spent around $150. It can get pricey in the first year but other than the ~$12 p/month cost, everything else is a one off fee. personally I'm hooked. the first month or so when you're a rookie is insanely frustrating, but as you progress you race against better drivers so the racing is much cleaner and more challenging.
  13. Agreed, and in fact I'm just over the GT franchise in general. Last few releases have been a massive let down and not the step up from previous versions everyone was expecting. I think i struggled to get 2 weeks out of GT5. Drive a proper sim and you very quickly realise how rubbish GT is in every aspect, except cool looking promo vids The new game play they introduced a release or so back sucks the biggest balls of all PS - now all you farkers head on over to the iracing thread. we need an SAU series!!
  14. Will say it before someone else does, but jump on Bob Is The Oil guy if you actually want science behind statements like "this oil is awesome".
  15. pretty sure have put this up before, but since we're on page 228, and there were 228 N1's made, - what the hell
  16. What wheels are they and size? Love em. And car looks good. Not sure about the driver
  17. Interesting chubbs. Guess I'm just getting a good deal!! On the wrong side of 30 I am an old fart compared to most here so maybe that's it
  18. R32 GTR $430ish, my full comprehensive policy is with the same company on a limited use policy so not sure if that brings it down.
  19. Does seem a little high, but wow where do you start. 1) what oil are you using 2) How old and how many k's has it done 3) do you drive teh car regularly or does it sit in the garage for weeks 4) what's the road like? freeway and sitting on 3500rpm for an hour, suburban stop start, backstreet hill climb course. 5) did it get back down if you took it easy and dropped the revs There could be a heap of reasons not related to a "fault" so rule those out first. Also again way too many unknown's but most good oil is fine up to around 130deg. How far off is 150 compared to where it normally sits for you? Oil cooler would easily get that down.
  20. NISMO

    Mod Vs Stock Gtr

If your going to mod anything at all on it, then go modded already. Let someone else take the financial hit. Just make sure you research the car as you should with either type and know what you're buying. Modded doesn't have to mean 700kw, single turbo, HKS track suspension beast. (Although do want!) There are some really well put together modded GTR's that would ride/drive similar to a stock car, but you usually have more power and in a lot of cases, better than stock parts. It's a no brainer.
  21. Hi Jon, does it screw into the boot lid?
  22. we'll find out how much self respect webber has next race. Fark vetool, fark helmut marko, and just put him into a wall. Then win the race, don't celebrate, jump off the podium and kick marko in the balls.
