  1. I'll try and take some tonight.
  2. Hey Jaik, Looks like its gone down a bit from when I spoke to them. Closer to $1800 was what I was thinking. I'm a member of some US forums who have some great deals for the users from Vendors. The borla for example I can order today at $1045 USD ($830+$215 shipping). At todays exchange rate, thats ~$1270 AUS. Compare that to $1600 from C-red, plus shipping to Sydney, and it adds up. I've bought a couple of things from the US forums and most vendors are more than willing to ship to Sydney. They probably wack on a bit extra for the hassle, but IMO still worth it, Another example - My Tein springs cost me $300 to my door from the US, arrived in 4 days. The best price I got here was closer to $600. ZAINO detailing stuff, I paid over $100 less getting it sent from the US for more products. Cheers Bobby
  3. Hey Guys, Looking to sell my V35 Coupe. This is a series 2 which are still very rare in the country. If you can find one they're usually $50k and upwards. Difference to series 1 is nicer interior. I've been advised that they also got a power upgrade, but unsure. 2005 $39,999 5sp Tiprtonic (awesome crisp shifts) Series 2 Completely standard except Tein H-tech springs (stiffens the ride a tad, but still very very smooth) HKS Premium suction Kit Pure Innovations Plenum Spacer Will be tinting the windows in the next week or so Spent 3 days detailing it myself, with Zaino products. I also have bought Volk SF Challenge 19" (second hand, great condition) wheels with Bridgestone Potenza S-03 rubber (80% tread) which are due to arrive in around 7 weeks will include for $3500 (pic from some other car) I also have a Fujitsubo exhaust on the way, will include for $1000 I may consider a trade with an immaculate 1997 R33 GTR or 1993/94 GTR and cash my way, or late model EVO.
  4. Waz, don't apologise mate, my sceptisism is the reason I wanted to get other peoples view. It's not a massive job to put in and out so if I could be stuffed I might do a before and after dyno in teh future. Cheers Bobby
  5. Personally I think some of the problem is who is buying these cars. You have buyers with barely a dollar to their name who don't give a toss and just want a GTR not thinking how much more they'll need to keep the car on the road after the intital buying price. And then you have "enthusiasts" who have the money to buy the nicer examples. The buyers who can't "really" afford the car drive the prices down. e.g say i'm 22yrs old, buy a crap 32 GTR for 24K. 2 months into it I realise I need another 20k to get the car running in a decent way, and decide I can't afford this. Now I'm desperate to sell and get rid of it for 19k. Times this buy a few hundred and all of sudden there are a lot of cheap cars on the market which drive the price of all of the model down. In the GTR's case, the VAST majority of buyers can't afford to look after the cars as they should be, which also puts a large number of absolute crap on the market.
  6. I was going to do a dyno before the HKS and the spacer, but didn't get a chance too. Although not the same, it'd be interesting to compare it to a stcok V35 at a dyno day soon. But as said with both, I definately feel an improvement over stock. I got the spacer through a group buy on 350z-tech.com. it's through a mob called Pure Innovation im the US, they claim 10 whp on dyno's but who knows. The part itself though was excellent quality wise.
  7. Hey Ben, yeah, couldn't do much walking with the 3 yr old so didn't have a good look. Went down to the skip pan for a while, and his eyes lit up with all the round tailights:-)
  8. Duncan, if you need a trailer let me know. My cousin has his own workshop and makes everything from box trailers to car trailers, boat trailers and bigger. He's generally much cheaper than most and should do a special price for me. I'll disown him if he doesn't :-) Rally rego definately sounds the way to go. I've heard that the RTA is really getting tough on race only cars etc. Heard anything?
  9. No, had no idea it was on. Man i would have loved to see that. My 3 yr old wanted to see GTR's so we went out to see some of the guys on the skid pan, but they were on lunch so we watched some of the action on the track. Didn't notice any GTR's in the paddock either. How did you go?
  10. Hey guys, Wanted to see if anyone is using a Plenum Spacer here in Aus. What re your thoughts? I installed mine today and "think" I can feel a difference, like it breathes a bit better. I've also got a HKS air intake kit (HKS Premium Suction) on and with the spacer, it's definately a noticeable difference. It gives the car an awesome growl as well, even with the stock exhaust. Only prob is that it sounds so good above 4k rpm, that my fuel is dissapearing before my eyes.
  11. Definately 19's Pupl. Check numerous pics of the wheels, and am quite happy. I think in 18's they'd look a bit weird but 19's look awesome. Paid for the wheels, today, now the wait.
  12. Exactly all the reasons why I'm thinking about it Duncan. As you said, value wise, you get an awfull lot of car for the money when buying a track only car from Japan especially. Hopefully once my house is built I'll have a spare 10k to get me started. Cause I'm itching, and really bad at that. Went past Oran park with my 3 yr old yesterday, and it's just awesome being around track cars. They don't have to be prepped Carrera cup cars, just something that get's you out there.
  13. Awesome news, now get in that puppy and drive it's nuts off. Make sure you kep us informed with the Nav solution. Cheers Bobby
  14. Yeah, was a bit worried about the same thing. But I don't think they look too bad Bought them last night. Now the 2 month wait. Added bonus is they come with Brdigestone Potenza S-03 with plenty of tread.
  15. thanks, might come and watch this one if the weather is ok, and see what it's all about.
  16. Yeah i've heard some clips and agree it sounds like an eight/12 more than a six. I spoke to C-red a while back and unfortunately the price is much higher than what i would cost from the states. Frank - yep the fuji is quite silent. I wanna keep the same sound as stock but louder, which the fuji does in the higher revs.
  17. I was looking into the HKS a little while ago, and i think my car has HICAS which means the HKS won't fit. If anyone wants one the best price I found was around $1850 USD delivered to Syd. The guy who's looking into wheels for me is bringing in a couple of Fuji exhausts in the next few weeks so I'll wait and see how they are. I'm also waiting on a guy in the US to get back to me on the NISMO exhaust. Hopefully will hear today. I also found a really good deal on Borla True dual, $1050 USD delivered to Syd, but I think this is too deep for me. Cheers Bobby
  18. thanks guys, i have my V35 as a daily and don't really want the hassle of rego, insurance etc for a second car (third if you count the wife's) My cousing owns a trailer fabricating business, and he'll pretty much make me one for free so transporting it is not an issue. Besides, some of the prices I've seen of some cars in Japan recently are pretty good. For example, this 180 http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/index.php?ID=10428 Ultimately I wouldn't mind getting into some sort of regular racing, but building a house ATM so unfotunately no funds in the short term for regular racing cheers Bobby
  19. Hey guys, Considering doing one of these in my V35, but the question i have is, is it worth it on an auto? My other problem is that there is no handbrake, but a foot park brake instead. Any thoughts?
  20. Hey Guys, I'm considering bringing in a race use only car at this stage to have a bit of fun with and not much more. However most track days say that your car needs to be street registered. From experience does anyone know if they'll let me on with a non registered car. The plan is to take it along to SAU trackdays and others like it. If they won't allow the car, is there other events I can do without getting into an actual race category? Cheers Bobby
  21. I spoke to APS just before my car landed and the short of it was that they're not interested in the V35 market in Australia. I mentioned that the cars are gaining in popularity every day, and more and more are coming in, and again, not interested.
  22. Thanks Guys, Frank, the progressive are forged as well, but I'm gonna try and get the Challenge. If all works out ok the price should be too good to refuse, but I have to wait 2 months for them to get here! Hopefully I should be getting a Fujitsubo exhaust in the next couple of weeks and my spacer should arrive next week, so that should keep my mind off the wheels until they get here. :-)
  23. I think he meant the plastic wheels guard cover not the light. But your right, when I was swapping my headlightss back and forward I found you should be able to just pop them off. didn't actually do it though as I didn't have a need to. Check G35Driver.com in the DIY section. Willd efinately be something there if you're concerned. Cheers Bobby
  24. Hey there, Xenon light is very white and bright. If you turn your lights on, you're parking strips (down the side of the headlight) will look very very yellow compared to your Xenon. If there similar, you may have non xenons. You can also check behind the headlight, but it's hard to see in there. The cover for your bottom fog light, you take off to change the globe will have the ballast for the Xenon light on it. Not just a conventional circular screw off cover. Check this is wired up, and if yes, you have Xenon. Cheers Bobby
  25. Can get em, but too expensive. Over $3k for rims only. Add over $1k for decent tyres, and my misses will ban all further mods on the car :-) Both the above will be around $3k with tyres.
