  1. Hey Guys, Tossing up between these 2 wheels. Like them both, just not sure if the Challenge are a bit too showy. What do you think? Progressive Spoke 18' SF Challenge 19' Thanks Bobby
  2. On my 2005, there are also 2 clips on the sides towards the top corners which attach it to the bumper. If you need to take the front bar of as well, leave these on and it will just come away with the grill. Put still remove the 4 push tabs as above.
  3. yeah, loves them. It's the round tailights. Only problem is, I had an argument with him last week, cause I was trying to explain that my V35 is called a Skyline and the GTR is a Skyline GTR. He's response was that my Skyline doesn't have 2 round tailights so the GTR is better and I can't call it a Skyline GTR. Little punk is giving me attidude already :-) Hi first car, which he already has is actually an R34 GTR. Got one of these for his 1st birthday. I foresee a very very expensive upbringing in the future :-)
  4. looks like fun guys, nice pics. Saw some of you come through Liverpool. well actually my 3 yr old did. "Daddy, daddy GTR, GTR"
  5. A Euro in the US for $53k USD would mean easily over $120k here. Not a fan of the look at all.
  6. Very nice. That's the Nismo front bar I'm trying to organise. Dam i want one.
  7. Jai, Would you expand this to body parts? I'm thinking merging the bodykit buys with your above thread. Personally what ever gets me the parts to my door cheapest is fine with me. and given that a fair few front bars can fit in a box, there should be no reason why everything listed in the bodykit and above could not fit in one shipment. If this goes to Perth and then onto other places, I'm pretty sure it could work out best. Let me know your thoughts.
  8. Guys, I've updated the first post with a list with those who have posted some sort of interest. All the parts so far should fit in 1 box, which means if everyone orders we are looking at decent shipping price. The problem is that we are all around the country. Looks like the majority of orders are WA and NSW. Can someone in WA find out how much it is to ship a front bar to Sydney? I really want to keep the shipment together, and having it go to Perth, then the Perth guys send to Sydney may work out cheaper than sending seperate shipments from the US.
  9. Not much to show, but one hell of a shine. My 2005 350GT
  10. Defiantely - 100% thats what it's aiming at. The problem is go down to your local Porsche club and see how many 997 twin turbo owners would swap the Porka for a GTR. You'll definately get some people, but personally I think the vast majority of new GTR owners will be cashed up younger people who love the Japanese car culture and those who can't afford the Euro's. And the odd, non conforming rich man, who will enjoy handing his Porsche driving mates their a$$es on the track. I would love for it to be a success, cause I'm one of the Nissan fanboys I'm speaking of. Afterall for the money I paid for my V35 I could have got a much better performing car, but then it wouldn't have a Skyline badge on the back.
  11. I still think it's all to do with Brand perception. Especially when it comes to sports cars. Luxury cars are a whole different ball game and entry/mid level luxury could be persuaded by value. Top of line luxury - no way, it'll be a cold in hell before someone who lives in top of the line Mercs, trades in for a top of the line Lexus. Even if the cars were identical. Don't get me wrong, I would love the fact if it happened, but I doubt it. Take a look at some of the US 350Z and G35 forums, and you'll quickly find ALOT of people who aren't even considering buying the new GTR simply because it's a Nissan. These are people who have the money to do so, and love the 350Z and skylines, and previous GTR's but when it comes to big bucks, they simply don't want to say they paid X dollars for a Nissan, and will opt for Porche/M3 etc any day of the week.
  12. Quite simple, a Japanese supercar like your describing will cost upwards of $300000 at best. Supercars such as Ferrari, Lambo etc have been around for a while, and the people with cash to buy these, would pi$$ in their pants with laughter if one of there brothers where to swap out of a German/Italian supercar into a Jap one. The target market would be fanboys such as ourselves :-) Out of the thousands of members on these forums, how many could drop $300k on a car? Then, how many would choose said car over a European supercar for the same money? I reckon you could count the number of people on 1/19th of a finger :-) So the answer is - no one would buy one! See NSX as the perfect example. $250k for a Honda - ummm no thanks! $250k for a bright Red Italian prancing pony - yes please!
  13. Frank, where did you find the lights for $250 shipped? Do you have a link?
  14. Depends how much interest they're getting. There's cashed up buyers who will pay a bit for them. If they're getting offers close to their price from iffy buyers, they'll hold out. Some people don't know anything about private imports or importing cars but will like the car, so they'll be prepared to pay top dollar, cause they don't know any better. On the other hand if they're not getting intertest they can drop the car $10k and still make a profit in some cases.
  15. Sounds Good, If people want to reply again, with where they are, what they want and definate or maybe, I'll update the first post. Cheers Bobby
  16. Hey Spikey, Here's the reply from Eric "the d-spec pix is the same as the illusion its a replica of the Datasystem lip" i asked if it will fit the 03-05 Coupe and he said yes.
  17. As long as it's from, Klumzyee (Eric) I see no problem. As far as quality, if you have a look through the site the US guys are really really picky when it comes to things like bodykit fittment. In the link above the guy says fitment is 100%, and he pretty much guarantees this. (He has a seperate list of products which he says are 95% fittment, but people keep asking for them anyway) But if you have any doubts, please do a search on the G35 site yourself. I don't know this guy at all, only have found that he supplies most of the replica kits on the site and have found the guys to be very very happy with the product. Personally, I'm looking at the Nismo front bar, and Impul sides at this stage. The prices he's giving us are actually much cheaper than he's charging the us people. e.g Nismo front bar for us $400 in the us $500 ALL HIS PRICES ARE US$
  18. I tried searching but couldn't find anything. I'll contact the guy tomorrow.
  19. Damn you, you got your "let's be serious" post in before me.
  20. Dude, here's some serious advice for free If you have a fiancee, I take it you'll be getting married soon(ish). Are you planning on living with her mummy and daddy for ever? If not, start to factor mortgage repayments on top of the repayments for your GTR loan. Add on top of that food, travel, electricity, water, gas phone, internet bills to start. No doubt, being newly weds, you'll be going at it like rabbits. I'm pretty sure, you'll soon be saying, "don't worry hun, we're married, we don't need protection", right? Well, then start factoring in new baby costs into your equation. Now, do you really think you can afford and R34 GTR? from what I've read, you havent exactly won the lotto, and unless you some kind prodical genius, I'm pretty sure Subaru arne't paying you $150000 pa. This is why people take the pi$$. Nothing you have stated on here credibly says you will buy and R34 GTR let alone get 1000hp out of it within the next 400yrs. But - hey I could be wrong
  21. Dude, don't listen to these guys, 1000kw is quite doable out of a 34 GTR, at a very reasonable price The only thing you really need to consider is do you want your BOV to go pppsssssshttttt or just pssssshhhhhh!
  22. Hey Guys, Is anyone interested in purchasing bodykit parts? Current "interest shown" list NSW Nismo - front bar Spikey - Front Lip WA Pulp - grille & other things Jail - Grille, roof valance QLD Waz - maybe front lip There's a user on G35Driver.com called Klumzyee that supplies kits to a very large number of people other there with some very good feedback. I'm interested in getting some bits, but shipping is quite high if I go solo. $650 per kit. He can put the fallowing in one box all for the same price of $650, which we can split. So if anyone else is interested let me know. This is shipped to Sydney, so if anywhere else you will need to pay for shipping to you. I'm more than happy to pick up all the stuff here in Sydney and help getting it to other states. 4 Bumpers and 5 Sideskirts + a few wings and lips 5 Sideskirts and 4 Bumpers + a few wing and lips Here are the US$ prices he sent me, which are discounted if a few of us purchase. NISMO Front $400 Impul Sides $250 Greddy Front $250 Greddy Sides $250 INGs Wing $300 - Wing is more expensive because we do not stock it TS Front $450 D-Spec Lip $225 Illusion Lip $225 Inven Roof Spoiler: $120 Link to his thread with pics http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=131238 Cheers
