  1. Hey Mark, Hope it goes well and you find one soon. You're right though, I'm very impatient :-) actually picked this one up a few days ago. In the right light, it looks more like this. In the end, I couldn't justify the extra $$'s for black.
  2. I think I've seen them on C110 sedan, but can't be sure.
  3. Thanks Nick, Can't wait to get it here. I was tossing up between a V35 and an R33 Series 3 GTR, but the daily driver thing made me go for this. Seeing Barons GTR above though makes me have second thoughs :-)
  4. The first pics of my new baby. Yep, I know it's auto, but I'm allowed. I'm 30, 2 kids, and drive 80k's a day in sydney traffic :-) Besides, give's me a reason to winge to the Minister of Finance and Anything to do with Cars, for a GTR to muck around with on weekends. [attachm nt=90278:4.jpg] Cheers Bobby
  5. Well, I've decided I'm going with a colour that looks silver, but also a bit of blue. Not sure what Nissan call it, but in the US it's called Lakeshore Slate. Is good?
  6. Thanks guys for all the advice, I've booked the plates with SSPI. Spoke to Chris the other day, and spent 5 mins talking complaince, and almost 40mins talking V35's. He's got his own one so that with the feedback on here, I'm confident he can do a good job. cheers Bobby
  7. Yeah, I'm holding off for now on the blue, just can't agree that i like it 100%. As for the 18's if i pick up a 2005 model some come with 19's standard, actually quite nice wheels.
  8. yeah pretty sure, the Carribean blue is the only colour close to that, the other blues they came in were quite different, Check out the front bumper, it's quite close to the other pic.
  9. That's the same blue I think. Looks really good there, but again I've seen it in some shots on a dull day and it looks quite dull. As for looking here, would love too, but current prices are on average 10k more than what it would cost to get the car from Japan. eg a 2005 auto went for just over 2mil yen last week. That's around 36k ready to drive, rego and all. On sites like carsales a 2005 auto is going close to 50k. Big difference!
  10. delete - double post
  11. haha - my neighbour just got that colour camry and I thought of the same thing. :-) I'm bidding on a silver one in around 30mins so hopefully all will go well, and I won't have to worry about the blue. It's just tempting cause the cars here in Australia at a godd price, and means no waiting for shipping, complaince etc etc. BUT, I'm still not sure if I'll be happy with it. The wife loves the blue, but then that's another reason not to get it.
  12. Thanks Guys, Appreciate all the opinions. I'm still not 100% sure, so I'm gonna hold off and stick with the auctions for at least this week. There's a silver 2005 6pd up today, so fingers crossed it checks out ok, and I make the winning bid. Cheers
  13. I think that's whats got me worried. Actually a bit surprised with all the people who like it. The reason I'm considering it is cause there's one for sale here that I like, and if I can convince myself that I like the colour, then I don't have to wait 2 months for another V35 to come from Japan. But there's just something that is not sitting right. I think in bright sun the colour is great, but in cloudy pics it can look a little dull.
  14. Hey Guys, I'm buying a V35 Coupe and thinking of getting the colour Carribean Blue, but am undecided. I like, cause it's rare, and really shows the cars lines. But still don't know if I'm 100% happy with it. Any Thoughts? cheers Bobby (oh and the pic is from a for sale add, so thanks if it's someone on here)
  15. I'm currently sourcing a V35 over in Japan, and the worst thing is that, just as I get my V35 here, the V36 get's realeased and you hang for one of those. Styling is similar, but the interior is streets ahead, and we can't forget about the 3.7, instead of the 3.5. Oh well, by the time they start landing here, I would have had the V35 for a while so shouldn't be too hard to convice the the "Minister of Anything to do with Spending Money on Cars" to allow an upgrade.
  16. There's a fair few people on here that do. Try the user names Blitz, and Streeter (i think) have used Blitz recently to get me my C210 round tailights. Cheers Bobby
  17. Guys, another quick question. I have the latest shape Maxima at home and was wondering, if the wheels are interchangeable with the V35, can i swap these at home and then take the care in for complaince, and this way not have to pay for new tyres? Is there any specifics during compliance which state you must have the original wheels the car was manufactured with? Cheers Bobby
  18. don't really think you need them, but I think one of the Japanese tuners had them on a GTR. Maybe HKS, not sure though.
  19. I listen to that sound at least once a night. My wife and kids think I'm nuts. :-) Not Cheap, in the US they are selling them for around $1200 US, but I'm hoping if i get the car at a good price i can get it fitted in Japan, and cut out middle men and shipping here to Aus. Can't actually find anyone in Aus who has them, and places like Nengun don't bring in exhausts.
  20. Yep, heard the same about the BOSE, which is why I would like it, but it's off my list too. If I find a nice premium car at a good price, I'll go for it, but I'm not set on getting one, because it's simply not worth it, and the money can go towards a HKS Hi Power dual exhaust. check em out if you haven't already. Go to www.youtube.com and search for G35 HKS exhaust. They sound amazing!
  21. I'm actually at the point where I was going to get a Premium 350GT but now I'm looking at a non premium. the extra money is not worth it when you can't use the sat nav/tv without modification. Leather would be great, but I can get the car trimmed the same here and still be infront. The only must have's I'm no looking for are Brembo's and 6pd. Anything else I'm not fussed about. I was looking for a black one, but again, the extra thousands is not worth it. Just my opinion anyway.
  22. count me in, should have the V35 landed and on teh road well before then, hopefully with a couple of little teaks as well.
  23. Thanks Mate, I have a few more to speak too but have all but decided. The good thing about the V35's is that there not coming in in massive numbers, so everyone who I've spoken to is willing to do the work. Yes Xenon's are a big sticking point for me. There's a couple of suggestions in another thread, that i started about the V35, so fingers crossed, there should be a way to hang onto them.
  24. Hi All, I'm about to bring in a V35 Coupe without a broker, and a lot of people have said too me, make sure you get a good complaincer. So, to those in the game, what do we need to look out for during the compliance process. Is there any specific things that these guys take short cuts on? What can go wrong? What do we need to make sure we look at/do? Any info will be greatly appreciated. Cheers Bobby
  25. Good luck on the Sat Nav, there's been plenty of discussion on the forums about this and to date no one has got it working or has a solution. Bottom line is that it will much much cheaper to fit something aftermarket. Oh, and search is your friend :-)
