  1. on a serious note, if I start arguing wife my wife tomorrow, by the time this thing is released, she should have divorced my ar$e, settled the paperwork, and the property should be sold. Therefore - move back in with the folks, and buy new GTR :-)
  2. There's a few guys on here who should be able to source it in Japan and ship it to Aus for a small fee. Do a search for Jesse Streeter. Made a few enquiries with him and has been very helpful. he's over there, speaks the language and has no issue dealing with the Japanese companies. Very reasonable fees as well. Only prob is that from what I know, something that large will come by sea, which means a good couple of months waiting. :-)
  3. i was thinking along the lines of will we see an influx at the auction with owners in japan upgrading to the new gtr and therfore prices coming down
  4. I am abobroad minded personely hooked on the Bathurst track, cannot get off it. Set up for the long straights and your screwed at the top of the mountain, set up for the mountain and you get eaten on teh straights . Aaargghhh!
  5. typing as i read so excuse me if this has been posted beofre, look about halfway down the page on the above link, and there is an Aussie V8 topic - yep it's a mod that lets you run an Aussie V8 season, with all tracks.
  6. my bad, wrong link http://forum.rscnet.org/forumdisplay.php?f=1116 gives you an idea where to grab them from. as it's an official site illeagal copies seem to be off lmits but they still tell ou what to kind of search for. Cheers

  8. deleted - answered my own question
  9. wow, that cheap? would that be for a mint example or run of the mill? The few mint examples I heard of have all come in landed for around the low 40's. Might explain why people are finding it hard to sell in the low 30's. Thanks
  10. Hi Guys, Just wanted to see if some of the regular importers had an opinion on weather the price of the R34 GTR's will drop when the new model is released later this year? Did this happen when the R33 took over from the R32, and when the R34 took over from the R33? Or, do you think that the high supply and lower demand here in Australia will drive the local price of an R34 GTR down, even if their still commanding higher prices in Japan. Just look at the for sale section, there are people struggling to sell Series 3 R33 GTR's for 30 grand, even though they would still cost low 40's to bring in if you wanted to import from Japan. cheers Bobby
  11. Hey Drew, Just checked the manual I have and it's got exactly the same settings you listed above. It says its the same for the L20A, L24 and L26 (single and twin carb) Bobby
  12. Not sure if it has what you need but i have the L26 engine manual at home, i'll check and let you know. cheers Bobby
  13. Check out these picks from TAS. I've always liked the V35 coupe, but until the 07 Coupe comes out, I'll take one of these to go thanks :-)
  14. Thanks frogman, hadn't come across them in my searching. Will call them tomorrow. aarc240, the engine is out of the car. So can't really do much. I'm also in sydney, and the engine is in Nth Qld.
  15. Hi again, Got another question. I should be able to get my hands on an L28 from a 280z, but prob is I'm not sure exactly what condition it's in. The car it came from was a 260z which had an electrical prob, so it wouldn't start. The good news, is that it's come from a Z enthusiast who went to the trouble of swapping it into the car, and put the 240z carbs on it. It was also cranking over fine, just wouldn't fire. Even if the motor is fine, I was thinking of doing the basics such as rings and bearings anyway. Do I risk it? Worse case scenario, what am i looking at to rebuild the thing? Thanks
  16. Thanks mate, spoke with the guy your referring too this morning, and based on his opinion I will be staying away. Besides from the whole compliance issue, that car is in much worse condition than what is made out in the add. Cool, now on with the C210 and no more getting side tracked! Just picked up a set of the early 240z twin carbs with manifold this morning. coming from queensland but not sure of the condition. Only $100 including delivery so not to fussed if not the best. I'll see what it'll cost to fix them, otherwise if in good nick they go straight on.
  17. Any ideas guys if the R31 will be ok? Looks like it will fit in alright. can i do any damage if it's not ok? please excuse the ignorance.
  18. Why does this always happen. Just when i was getting into the C210, i find a C110 at a very good price, and which would cost me less to finish than th C210. C110 already has - wheel flares, boot spoiler, it's a manual, and the body is arguably in better condition. It's also black which would mean much less cost for a respray. Wont have to do inside doors etc. Damn! Any opinions? the C110 or C210. I'm thinking restore the C110, keep the C210 for a daily.
  19. http://www.kameariengineworks.co.jp/ Use something like google translator, but their catalogue is in pictures so it can't be translated. The pics say alot though :-) There are a few people on this site that purchase stuff from Japan. The initial quote I have for the flares is around $400 to my door. With the lip I should find out this week.
  20. thanks mate, how good is the Kameari website. I could blow 10k in 5 mins on that site. the goal is to try and make it look like the old school cars in Japan, rather than just beef up the motor and keep the body stock. have thought about no bumpers, but will need to take them off to see whats behind. I really like the flat look like the c110. At the moment it's rough as, paint flaking soggy suspension, but I really enjoy driving it. So if I can get everything done to it I want, it's gonna be a keeper.
  21. Hey guys, As I'm getting stuck into my C210 build, I went to the trouble of getting some manuals. I now have C210 Chassis and Body workshop manual L24 and L26 Engine workshop manual C210 Complete parts list with part numbers - every single nut, bolt and washer. Cheers Bobby Let me know if you need anything from the.
  22. Guys, I saw in a thread once that certain model Aussie dato had the same size/style front and rear bumpers as the C210. Any ideas? Did a quick search and no luck. Both mine have bends from being hit before I bought the car.
  23. I've just found out the one I have is from and R31. Is this going to be a prob? I'll pop down to the garage now to see if I can see any major issues.
  24. Thanks to you, I'm getting C210 flares :-) I saw on your forsale thread where you got them from and, Kameari Engine works have them for the C210. I'll hopefully findout tomorrow if I can ship the front chin spoiler with the flares, and if not I'll just order the flares for now. They're actually costing me less than the lights. Drew, I'll let you know dude. I'm gonna struggle to get the exhaust back to Sydney. The poeple who were gonna drive it back are now also flying down to Melb with me. So I'll probably have to chop it up a little to mail it. cheers Bobby
  25. Not too much to tell. Tailights bought Have found the wheel arch flares, no just seeing if I can ship the front lip spoiler as well. (might be too big) Having trouble finding an L26/L28 in sydney so, might se what the L24's got left in her. Going tomorrow to pick up electronic ignition. Found an L series manifold with twin webbers, just waiting on confirmation if it will suit the C210. Extractors and exhaust bought. Sourced new shocks, haven't really looked for other suspension bits yet. So, not much progress, but progress none the less :-) Cheers Bobby
