Nismo Coppermix Single - Reviews/opinions
NISMO replied to NISMO's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Thanks Alan, read somewhere that they're quite noisy? -
Hi Guys, there's heaps on here about the coppermix twins, but not many reviews on the singles. I've read the NISMO brochures and know that they're good for around 420ps, but am hoping someone has one in a GTR that can give me a bit of info and their thoughts. Being a fairly stock car, my 32 putts around with about 280 rwkw on high boost which is rarely used. I'm actually thinking of removing the boost controller all together and just going with the stock solenoid so i think power wise it should be ok. At the same time though, i want to be sure it'll do the job for years to come, even if i do decide to punish it every know and then. Have read a fair few reviews on them being used in higher power S15's and S14's but am curious about how they go in an AWD Please no "speak to Jim Berry" comments. I've got one in at the moment and am not happy with it. Just my personal taste. The twin will be overkill for a stock car, so no point spending the extra k ( or close to) Cheers

looks like it but hard to tell, a sure way though is if there are tabs/brackets to attach a GTR front grill to the lights (centre grill piece) the same headlights were available on non GTR's but without the tabs as the GTS-t's had no centre grill piece.

Where was that price?? To the best of my knowledge the most expensive 300zx's (last gen) were around $50k in the USA. Their price when converted from yen would be similar in Japan. Even in a place like Aus with all the taxes, you wouldn't get a $100k mark-up. The 300zx was not the flagship car for Nissan ever, so it would never be priced above a GTR.

Bump - Anyone?

Really Ash? I had the full kit in a V35, including sway bars, and it was one of the best I've ever used. Of course the V35 was purely a street car with a few track days for good measure. But loved the ride in it and did all right at the track as well

Terry, thats the old NISMO logo. It's crappy and doesn't suit the R34, let me know when you want me to come by and pick it up

Concensus = Terry, Chef man, and Marcus all not cool! Have a few bits, but recently went looking for a genuine sticker like this one pictured As a replacement for mine on my boot lid in case i ever respray it (couple of little marks), and found them on yahoo JP for $80! One i saw had a price tag over $150!!

Have a look at this thread. On the second page there are a few pics of how the cooler sits under the car. Mine is the same unit, but my filter relocation kit goes up next to the battery (like most kits) and not in the front bar like these pics. http://www.skylinesa...0cooler__st__20 Let me know if you need anymore pics. Have had mine in for a few years now, and they are awesome. For airflow, the under the car location is amazing, and if anything in winter can keep temps a little too cold. Also don't worry about things hitting it as although its underneath, its in front of wheels so nothing flings up, and if you run into something, it's higher than the lip of the front bar so you'll rip that off well and truly before anything happens to the cooler. the fins on mine are in pretty good nick. Because of the low position, you can change the oil in the lines very easily as well. Due to the length of the lines it does take a fair bit of oil more than standard, close to 6.5L off memory, but again with the low location, you get all that out when you do a change. Most other locations, getting all the old oil out is a PITA.

Annual Bump. Actually completely forgot about this so want to start the search again. Below pic is what I'm after circled in red as mentioned including the black bracket that holds it all.

Hi Guys, Can anyone help with either buying and sending or pointing me to where i can get genuine NISMO team merchandise?

Good to see you're back up and SAU'ing C! Needless to say mate, if there's anything any of us can do just yell out. SAU NSW has a good track record when it comes to organising unlimited car vids when you need to kill time

N1, Vspec R32 Gtr, How Many Are In The Country?
NISMO replied to West's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Sorry dude, but thats a far stretch isn't it? The R32 continued development in the japan JGTC well after group A and the cars were similar spec (Grp A and JGTC) so you could argue the AUS Grp A cars would have conitnued along the same lines. It also continued to dominate while it was racing, and EVO's had every chance to "wipe the floor" with them for many years after Grp A but didn't. Under the GT1 rules, GTR's won every championship they entered, including the R33 in 95. In 96 when the GT500 rules were introduced a McLaren F1 won, the first non GTR since their introduction, and only after a rule change. So yeah...the GTR was a good race car...when it was racing... well when it was racing anything really Back on topic - off hand i know of about 5 32 N1's in Aus. -
All the best Christian for a speedy recover. Thoughts are with you and Bec. Looking back on how he started SAU from what was a few Aussies hanging around on Skylines Downunder, forking out his hard earned from his own pocket, to form a community, is testament to the kind of guy he is.

FREIGHT F.A.Q AND RECOMMENDATIONS
NISMO replied to Gary2's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
may be a stupid question, but do wheels need to be packed in any special way for transit? I'm looking for a company to do door pickup in Mel, depot dropoff in Syd. The seller wants nothing to do with organising including any kind of packing of needed, so am after a place that will pick up from sellers house and drop off at depot in Syd. (can then pick up from anywhere in Syd. Any recommendations? -
Wasn't in my case. I thing the blue slip place can request it via Canberra just a PITA. There's so many different stories and rules best to just tick it all off upfront.
-
Find a blue slip place before hand and ask what they need. I picked up a V35 from QLD and when registering it here in NSW, the blue slip place asked for full import documentation including all original compliance paperwork (thats what they were asked to supply) luckily the guy i bought it from had a nice folder for me ready to go with the car. I think it also can be "randomly chosen" (read 99.99999% of imports are randomly chosen) to go through the pits for an ID check. This is where i believe some poeple run into probs with mods, not at the blue slip place.

When you say "save it" are you talking a few bandaids to get it driving and have some fun, or get it back to very good condition inside and out? If its the latter, then i would probably say don't waste your time. There are nice 32's out there that'll probably cost you half as much in the long run with much less headaches (depending on what needs to be done to save this one) I'm yet to see anyone "save" a GTR properly that didn't quadruple their intial budget at best and/or spend years doing it.

Who would have thought there would be an F1 race where you had 9 different teams in the Top 10 and the only team with 2 cars would be Force India! Fark me, we may have a season to remember on our hands

No order, just want a set Favourite - Hands down, 400R, in White Although most on my list after it would kick its arse performance wise, there is just something about the 400R. It was NISMO's first hypo production type offering, It was a stroked factory car It was at a time when everything else out of Japan - production - was part of the 206kw agreements. The one car i would take over anything else - my Unicorn!!

Completely Dreamin! but KPGC10, C110, DR30 PNS, R31 GTS-R, R32 NISMO, R32 N1, BCNR33 LM, BCNR33 N1, BCNR33 400R, BNR34 R-Tune BNR34 Nur-Spec BNR34 M-Spec BNR34 N1 BNR34 Z-Tune R35 Spec V If i ever have more money that what i know to do with, rest assured i will do pretty much anyhting for that line up.

Oem Nissan R32 Gtr Car Cover?
NISMO replied to Carthik's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Do a search, maybe on GTROC UK forums. There's a few in the UK who make them from memory and price is not that bad. But not sure about delivery. They seem to be more needed in the UK with the whether compared to here -
Both of these are in this thread already, but pretty rare to have 2 N1's together in Aus Thanks to Terry for the pic as well.
