They go into a full rant bagging the old exa turbo, and have a picture of the NA CA18 EXA to a go a long with the article. Not surprised though, learning to expect nothing less from this great publication

hey a5h, just a heads up dude. If your thinking of buying a local car ( one already in Australia ), then the new import regulations will not effect you in anyway what so ever so don't rush it. On the other hand if you wanna bring one in from Japan, then the word is that cars will have to be located and bought in Japan, no later than the end of next week in order to make it here safely before the new regs come into play.

yeah, bloody Nissan, I was bit dissapointed cause they didn't include a built in lap top, to tune the ecu from. Would fold away perfect under the glove box. ed, could be wrong about the Xenon's not sure. yeah the sound system from what i know is 200w 8 speaker double Din, radio, cassette, CD In Nissan's words - it uses the accoustics of the car to make it sound like a concert hall. :-)

hey Guy's, the X actually means it's the top of the range. Not sure exactly what it includes but I know you get things like tweeters mounted in the a pillar, I've heard an 8 speaker sound system, Xenon lights and other cosmetic differences. I'm pretty sure I've seen the X on a coupe and 4door. GT-t simply shows it's a turbo. For examble you can get an R34 4door GT-T X ( not sure on the exact order )

same here ED! The Skylines are known to run very rich. Up the boost and the ECU over compensates even more. Mine is starting to sound like a rally car on the up changes ( running 0.9 bar ). Could be wrong but I definately though it was unburnt fuel from running too rich.

not an expert on these things, but the first thing that comes to mind, is with intercooler cores being so thick, would you be able to fit a pump that will drag the oil through efficiently enough. Remember air will flow alot easier than oil. Oil coolers are way thinner. Also although the design might be the same, I would suspect that the oil coolers have smaller tracks running through the core in which the oil passes. but who know's, just speculating here

Am I imagining things or was there alot, and I mean alot, less GTR's and Supra's in this years Tokyo Auto Salon. All the pictures I've seen have very little GTR's. Heaps of 350's, heaps of integra's. It seems that the tuning shops are turning there attention more to the newer smaller more affordable stuff. It could be the fact that they might be waiting for the 35 GTR, but still even last year there were R32's, R33's and R34's. This year it seems as there arn't even any R34's. Is the legend dying in Japan?

I can see where Merli is coming from guys. I've had the 'line for over 3 years and I'm yet to be pulled over for no reason. I've got mods that are very vissible, it's a daily driver, low, loud, the usuall deal. BUT.. when I'm on the street I will not do anything stupid. I've been in 3 near death accidents because of moron friends who think they know what they're doing. I also agree that I choose to have my car modded without it being engineered, so if I do get busted it's not the officers fault that my car does not comply with Australian rules/laws. Harrasement is a different thing and I don't agree with it, but being booked for something that you know is wrong doesn't make it unfair. Just like you and me the copper doesn't write the laws, they enforce it. Hate to think what society would be like without them.

blukie, I've been interested in an R34 4 door for a while now too. I've done a little reaserch on them and found that compliance is a bit less. ( according to the person I spoke to ). The below is what I recieved back from a broker after asking for a mint condition car. "its really hard to find a 4 door gtt with any mods at all. we can still find u a nice black gtt 4 door landed and complied for approx $32000.but i would suggest it would be a standard car. $32k includes compliance of $6500." Hey Ando, In your post you said you need a drivers licence. I called EC Karts and they said this is only if your under 18. My mate is disqualified for 6 months, and his was ripped up. They said that as long as he looks above 18 should be no prob. I think I'll get him to bring his passport along though just in case.

Hey Guys, Can anyone let me know if there are any definate places left. I will know by lunch time today but I could have 2 possibly 3 people interested. Also, in a previous post it said there is a warm up, 4 heats and final. Does everyone drive in all 4 heats or are you seperated and drive in 1 of the 4 heats. Thanks Bobby
