speed sensor drive for manual conversion

strangely my auto sensor(cable) doesnt bolt into the manual gear box. anyone? -
i ve done pretty much everything for my auto to manual conversion on r32 gtst now. the cable operated speed sensor drive can not be fitted on to manual gear box. the manual gear box comes with its own speed sensor . it has two wires at back . I have no idea what to do to connect the manaul speed sensor to auto ones. did any of you come across this before??
