  1. You could be right. The pads in it now are identical to EBC part number: DP31200C which is used in 32 GTR, 33 GTS & GTST and R34 GTT. Some useful info is attached.
  2. I recently bought a pair of Nissan calipers which I think are from a skyline front cut. Im not able to tell from what model. These calipers use a DB1170ULT (bendix) pad, I've tried them on a 296mm disc and they look to be the right size. It's hard to tell with the numbers stamped on the caliper. Searching this forum and the net found the following: 300ZX TT front 32 GTR calipers? Everyone's knowledge is most appreciated.
  3. and damn expensive! The price makes you think twice is the extra kw's really worth it?
  4. ACL race series pistons are not forged, hence why they only handle low boost. I should know been selling ACL parts for years.
  5. Theres a reason why they are rated at 10 PSI, they aint forged pistons! I've been selling ACL parts for years and they are yet to make forged pistons. Someones been feeding you bs. Alot of people take the RACE series brand to be forged when they are a better grade of cast.
  6. Anyone who deals with rocket industries. Pretty much any auto parts shop but shop around coz the price can vary by the hundreds.
  7. 8.5-8.6 with a RB30E headgasket but dont take it as gospel. Every engine is different and should be checked individually.
  8. Thats the ones I'm using. They suit 25DE, 25DET, non VVT, VVT and 26
  9. A 30det with that turbo should be dropping off somewhere around the 6800 rpm mark.
  10. Im using an R34 GTR oil pump with the JUN adaptor. AS far as I know Greenline sell the adaptor for approx $200. Other costs like machining/labour would add to the price but I dont see how it could cost alot more. I asked the question you are asking a few pages ago and found the answers myself. I'm doing the machining/labour myself.
  11. When someone gets behind the wheel they have to take repsonsibility, the driver is fined if a passenger is not wearing the seatbelt. If they want to behave like an idiot they should drive alone in an empty car park. Nine years is quite harsh but if a family member died in similar circumstances I'd say it isnt enough. *Just my 2c worth
  12. If there is anyone in syd who wants to convert their GTR 5 speed to pull and is willing to swap in exchange for their push set up(fork etc..) Pm me.
  13. For a GTR box is it possible to drill and tap into the bellhousing?, My bellhousing looks to have 2 areas where a push slave cylinder could be used. Will the push fork fit into a "pull" bellhousing and vice versa or is there more to it than that.
  14. Having twice as much oil would mean it takes longer for the engine/oil to warm up? SK, The diagram u posted up is quite clear to undertsand. What does scavenging in do going/coming from the sump?.

    Egged Again

You need a trunk monkey, http://www.trunkmonkeyad.com/2wmv.htm
  16. Yes it sure is, but the problem is forgetting that ur alarm is on and getting stun by ur own alarm. (it would leave u on the ground helpless and the car theif could take ur keys). How do I know all this? it's coz I'm trialing something along those lines. And yes a thief could smash the window and open it from the inside. Hehe wait till he puts his arse on the seat. Or there is the trunk monkey, the theft retrieval model I believe http://www.trunkmonkeyad.com/4wmv.htm
  17. My work used to deal Envy but not anymore due to too many mistakes on their behalf. Not the best importer when it comes to parts. Tweakit at Mona Vale seems to have more stock and fairer prices than Envy. *My 2 cents worth
  18. You'd need dem rocket skates like on Jackass.
  19. What do you guys thinking about cryo freezing the oil pump gears for extra strength?.
  20. I'm curious into whats involved in a dry sump set up. I don't know enough about them to weigh up if it's worth doing. I'm slowly building up a 26/30 thats estimated at 600hp going into a 240Z that will see some weekend street and track driving. How do they work? What does it mean by 4 and 5 stage pumps? Can a normal RB sump be modded to suit a dry sump?. What price range would I be looking at for a simple setup? Does anyone have pics and experiences using dry sumps? Thats all the questions I can think of atm.
  21. I know there has been plenty of talk about the different oil pumps. 1. Does anyone have pics and/or the part number of the larger style oil pump? Nissan keep asking for a vin and engine number that I don't have. 2. When it comes to machining the collar etc.. what areas need to be machined? 3. Is this the drive collar needed? *see attached - screen capture from Greenlines site. 4. Is this what the collar looks like when on the crank? http://rbmotoring.com/gallery/album36/abf?full=1 Note: http://rbmotoring.com/gallery/album297/aab This r34 crank looks similar to the collar Zoom's latest project, the 33 with the 32 GTR motor shit itself due to the oil pump shattering. It's got me thinking twice about a 32 pump. I'm hoping someone out there knows I dont want to be the first to find out.
  22. The running costs of a rotor are much higher. They are thirsty suckers, much worse than V8's or souped up 6's and the oil consumption is another problem. Not a cheaper option thats for sure.
  23. I've got a 33 GTR box that's a pull type what would be involved in making it a push type?.
  24. The solution to all your problems http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAP...bayphotohosting
  25. Same here, Toyota 4's have a good reputation. However I wouldnt sell the line I'd use it for weekends and make it go a bit quicker. You'll appreciate the power after driving in a slow pus box.
