  3. Yeah I run a single -6 line from the surge tank back into the tank. I'm probably just being paranoid with the temps
  4. I've been testing the car temps over the last couple of days and I've got everything sorted apart from one.. Is any one running any form of fuel cooling? after some time of driving "fast", I can hear the fuel pumps once coming to a stop abit louder than before, and feeling the surge tank and fuel lines in the boot they are warm/hot. I have a fairly large capacity surge tank, but it has twin fuel pumps inside that heat the fuel up aswell.. I'm either thinking of: 1. switching one of fuel pumps off so it's not heating the fuel while working and pumping fuel to the front to be not used and back to the surge tank, and only on again when its needed (via boost sensor/solenoid/trigger) or 2. installing a kind of fluid cooler in the return line in the form of: a. An alloy coil in a canister, filled with "propylene glycol" i think its called?... b. In the return line from engine. c. In the boot, fan due to no air flow. I'm probably steering towards c more as probably work the best... Has anybody had any experience running fuel coolers at the track in any form of motorsport? or fuel temps arnt really that much of an issue?
  5. I got the cam covers, front pully cover and plenum powerder coated satin black with a slight wrinkle. I'm thinking about getting the alloy intake pipe to plenum and air intake pipe to turbo done the same.

Imported the FD around July this year as a race/rally only. stripped the car completly bare straight away, fitted the seat, got the roll cage done, put some ohlins in it with different rate springs, larger rims, took it for a test, got too hot, back to the shed and totally reengineered the cooling system and air flow, made some lexan windows and got it retuned, then went back out testing, cooling system was great, but cracked an apex seal and lunched two rotor housings ( typical rotory ) Now has a brand new motor with a bit of porting and extras, converted to a biggish single (still waiting to come from us of a) should be up and running and backout there soon. My car is still a street car and registered, has most of the interior still in it etc, stripped it out a little, fixed back seat, harness etc, don't really want to make it into a dedicated track car. just a weekend/sprints fun car
  7. t01-100 your fd looks like its coming along very nicely. I've been helping a mate build his fd over the last couple of months, same colour too its waiting on a new turbo from the states atm Slowly getting mine up ready to get back out to the track, lots of fun.

  15. I've rewired the battery terminals after going to a smaller dry cell battery, and I keep popping a fuse. This wire goes from the battery and up into the main fuse box in the engine bay, now it had a fairly large fuse wire inline (pictured below) so I wasn't 100% sure on what rating it was as it has no markings on it, and couldn't fine any info in the manual.... when it pops, the alternator stops charging, dash lights go off, tacho, speedo, radio, climate control unit, centre gauges and probably a few others that I havn't notice. Car is a 1990 R32 GTR with afew electrical devices taken out, radio, centre gauges, and air con unit, so it would be pulling less current now as it would of seen factory So far it keeps blowing 50a and 60a fuses.... would it be as high as 100-120A?? anyone rewired their battery wires/relocated battery and had this drama?

  18. Hey mate, did you get the plugs that come with the injectors? are you after the plugs because the ones supplied don't fit as the two side tags on the injector hit on the plug?   19. Need rails for a Recaro SPGT2 to fit into a R32 GTR side mount. I believe Bride rails will fit. Prefered to be in Brisbane.
  20. Hey all, on the hunt for some track rims for a 32 gtr, looking for a set of Volk Te37's, RE30's, or CE28's in 18x10.5j, new or 2nd hand either in +18 or +22. Just thought I would check local supplies before looking into importing a set. Preferably in Brisbane, but would pay shipping/freight if elsewhere.
