    Topping On My Cake.

Same thing pretty much happened to me last year, resulted in my car being impounded and heading off to court in 2 weeks, although likely to get shafted as magically "four" officers all saw "wheelspin, a street race," and various other things. They blew not doing a hookturn totally out of proportion pretty much just because they can. These hoon laws are rubbish. I would fight it as it is total injustice however it is going to cost me $1600 for a lawyer if I plead guilty, just don't have the money to waste as a uni student to fight it so really they'll get away with it and do it to some other kid, where they'll just do the same as me and it'll just keep happening.
  3. Used to be a GTT for sale white not sure on transmission for sale in ford (now Suzuki) dealership in Melton, not sure if it's still there....
  4. I was going to post something like birds in response to your electric chair solution but his post summed it up exactly the way I wanted to. It is up to the officers disgresion in relation to the hoon laws. Leaving it up to an officer to have the power to imprison somebody for 2 years is just obsurd. The little power they have now gets abused left right and centre, I can tell you that first hand as I'm going through this all as we speak, getting 'done' pretty much because as the cop said 'cos I can, I can get anyone anytime for anything if I feel like it'. Even so these hoon laws are looser than paris Hilton, no clear definition and "open to interpretation" which leads to these laws being manipulated and twisted. In saying that, politicians put pressure on police and as a chain reaction the police are under the pump to perform a certain quota of fines/charges whatever and as a result the public cops it as the police interperate these laws to benefit themselves and fill their quotas and become Nazi-like rulers of the roads. Soon if they don't like the colour of your car it's it's too yellow you'll end up in court the way this is going.
  5. 95km over is more than 1 month suspension lol <25 Over is a fine & points, 25-35 is 1 month then 36-45 3 months >45 minimum 6 months and this is when I checked a while ago, I'm sure it's alot stricter now.
  6. Maybe if you worked for them yourself, you'd appreciate them abit more and treat them with abit more respect instead of asking for trouble going 110 in a 60 zone. And thats the first time you got caught, wonder how much you've gotten away with before that....
  7. If you lose your license in first 12 months of getting you you'll get passenger restrictions. As for being so much over the limit you'll most likely get your car impounded - roughly $300 to get it back, also lose your license for 6-12 months and receive another $500 or so in fines, you'll also have the time you lost it for and more added to your p's so another 1-2 years onto of your current p's due to some new legislation - rule 52 or something (my mate just lost his license like this, only 20km over though) and if you're really unlucky you'll end up in court.

    Car Impounded

A week after it happened contacted Melbourne council about CCTV footage of the area in question and got some jerk who yeah a you said treated me like a 4th class citizen he wads smartass the whole time and when I sai what i neededit for he said oh well just can't give it to every Tom dick and Harry which is fair enough and I said well I'll get my lawyer to sort it out and he said well by the time u do all that it takes so long and by that time it would have been deleted so he was no help and frankly an arrogant pr*ck. I know I admit to not hook turning ignorance is no excuse, I'll cop that sweet however the losing traction is rubbish my car is n/a (lol) and just had bridgestone adrenalines put on the rear ($500 each!) so even if I wanted to do skids which my car probably wouldn't let me I'd be a dickhead anyway wasting $500 worth of tyre road wasn't wet either it was dry... So all on all hook turn yes that's my bad and yes tried to get CCTV but guy on other end was just useless... Yes I know copping it sweet may be best way to go I'm stressed already and just want it over so ican move on... Been quoted $1300 for everything from MK Law that people on here have recommended so probably gonna go with that, my mated that also got done (guys I wasfollowing) want to go with legal aid lcos we are students and don't really have that cash to throw away but I don't think legal aid is any good, does anyone know?? Also all our hearings are likesame date and time anyone know how that works??

^^yeah looked all this up before they've got as u said 10 days to actually seize your car and a year to summons you

    Car Impounded

Well guys, its been 7 months and 2 days. When you think they've forgotten or let it go they're just round the corner. My summons got hand delivered to my door today by a nice police officer. I'm off to court in August for improper use of a motor vehicle as well as driving it in such a manner to cause the wheels to lose traction. On the day it was street racing now its funny how it changes. I'd love to see what proof they have apart from bullshit "eye-witnesses" who've spent the last 7 months collaborating each others stories, perfecting it. And too think... they didn't even charge me without doing a hook-turn... something I, myself, even admit to doing... lol. I never beleived cops shafted anyone, hearing all these stories about people getting done for things and they absolutely deny... think to yourself "yeah right, just admit you were wrong and move on".... until now Anyhow, I'm going to contact MK Law as people on here have said they're the group to talk to. I shall keep you all posted, I'm going to fight this not sit there and let the "law" tear me a new one.
  14. ^Exactly right, P-platers want skylines but due to the restrictions can't drive a turbo, forcing the prices of N/A's up and the turbos to drop, there aren't many decent N/A 34s around nowadays.
  15. I thought new rules came in, in 2008 saying no turbo-charged vehicle no matter what power to weight ratio was prohibited except for turbo diesil vehicles

  18. I think it's absurd that from an opinion, not a definition, that a car can be taken off somebody for 30 days. Not to mention what happens on your 2nd and 3rd strikes. When I had my car impounded, there was what was really happening, and what the police officer wanted to assume was happening, and of course he assumed the worst to make his little sheet of paper with all the criminals and potential killers on it look better at the end of the night. They have no reguard for your input, side of the story. They just stick to what they "see" no matter how redicilous and stupid it may be.
  19. Yeah it would be easy to get out of it if you write a letter after you receive the fine.

    Insurance

19, R34, Just cars... Agreed value 20K with full comp. $2,900 first year for premium with $1,500 for excess Second year I renewed it was either $1,600 premium with $1,500 excess or $1,900 with $1,000 excess, so I paid the $1,900 premium just incase anything happens to save the extra $500 on excess.
  21. Found a tiny chip/crack in my windscreen today no bigger than a 5 cent coin. I've seen those ads on tv about the O'brian glass repairs, where they use that gel or whatever to fix it. Has anyone ever used them and are they any good or what? Any feedback would be appreciated
  22. Sounds exactly like my r34, and it was the coilpacks. And mine came and went aswell, sometimes fine, then drive down the road and it starts to f**k up again. Definately change your coilpacks bud.
  23. When's the 2010 calendar coming out?
  24. Grow a hedge and put concrete bollards running down the centre of it every few feet. I was thinking claymores at first...a tad extreme though.
  25. Chrome lip with jade spokes, something like the BBS LM, nice and spokey
