  1. what fmic kit did you get? you shouldnt be cutting up your fan (found out the hard way) also, personal opinion, thermo's are shit if your also removing the clutch fan. the clutch fan works alot better by its self then thermo's working be them selves. thermo's should only be run as a support to a clutch fan if your planning on dailying the car still. again, this is my opinion. others may disagree. thermo's ive used have only been davies craig brand and they did what i wanted them to do well (with clutch fan too)
  2. Does any one know if a Series two indicator stalk for an r33 will fit a series 1? Need urgent advice for a mate cheers

  5. well since everyone else is saying they know the guy i thought i would say something too i shared a shed with that blue sil80 at aq drift day last year i think and talked to the owner which i guess might have been you?
  6. am i missing something? this thread has changed like 3-4 times, all different i think and then changed back to what it was?
  7. ^^^This is how people should be thinking. It's better to look for work when you have a job then to look for one, struggle and not have an income. Besides, it's a foot in the door to move up in the industry if that's what your looking for.
  8. dont know, never had to do that one before. best to get the old owner, to get the manual rego form filled out, then the new owner can do the leg work to get it off defect and then transfer rego. to find out if you can transfer rego on a defect car, go to regency rego office next to the VIS as they seem to be more knowledgable then the other rego offices.
  9. you CAN, rego a defect vehical
  10. the link sled posted was the gov auctions i was talking about theres a vz commo wagon on there with just over 13,000km on the clock! friends dad bought a ex-cop car ve for stuff all ill ask him what he got it for when i see him
  11. Craig, it needs full leather!!! Have you thought about going to the Government Auctions or even Pickles? I have had a few mates who have taken home some sick bargains from both places! VY/VZ/VE's, BA's, newish Camerys, Avalons etc can be had from the Gov auctions for cheap. And who knows what you find at Pickles! Just a thought?

  14. nah, he doesnt have to deal with the cops first. a permit to drive from the cops would be useless if its not rego'd as even with the back of the defect paperwork is filled out your not legally allowed to drive a unrego'd car (stating the obvious, i know) all he needs in a regency date before he goes into rego a defected car. the car does not have to be with you just your rego and defect forms. they will check your regency date, or at least wait on hold for as long as they can stand and have to take your word for it. once it has the manual rego filled out, he can get a permit from the cops (the back of the defect paper work filled out) to drive the car around while defected. you are allowed to drive a defect car without a permit if you are going to the cop station to get a clearence to drive. BE WARNED, if a cop pulls you over and the mods listed on defected paper work are not actually cleared, he holds all right to pull your permit to drive till your regency date an youll be up shit creek as your car will need to be towed. i have done this more then my fair share. i used to always for some reason get defected just before my rego ran out EDIT: i just re-read what you wrote chad. the rego office doesnt have to have a clearence on the back of the defect notice before giving temp rego. if thats what you meant?
  15. black 32 boosting it around near my place in morphett vale. had a kit of some kind on it as it went past. your chirpys into 2nd where sloppy and your handbrakey onto main south rd was shithouse and speeding through backstreets and main rds were full of homo.
  16. you can still re-register a defected car if you really wanted. it has to be done manually rather then electroniclly so you must go into a rego office and they fill out a paper type rego. once cleared, you take the paper form of rego to a rego office and they transfer the remaining rego to their computer and give you a legit rego sticker.
