  7. There has been, they've been amazingly lucky never to have someone killed before, torquenstein rolled his Viper last year which was absolutely destroyed but managed to survive.. This is the first year where they have hit OTHER cars on the road, most have been off's where they hit walls/trees/ditches.. Driving on little to no sleep doesn't help..
  8. Yeah, was just looking at up as well, would quickly put your life upside down.. RIP and agree best of luck to the macedonians wife.. Nick Morley and Matthew McConville were the 2 in the porsche, got picked up by the russians but were stopped @ the border..
  9. http://jalopnik.com/cars/gumball-3000/?view=full Looks bad..
  10. http://forums.gumball3000.com/viewtopic.php?t=2584 Gumball 3000 has been cancelled after the death of a Macedonian on the roads who's car was hit by a gumballer.. Press release From the main page: Issued by Maximillion Cooper on behalf of The Gumball 3000 Rally - 21.30 / 03 May 2007 Following our earlier release reporting yesterday’s accident - As a sign of respect we have decided that this year's Gumball 3000 Rally will not travel any further and will end in Bratislava this evening, May 3rd 2007. As the organisers of the rally we feel that it should be stopped as a mark of respect to Vladimir Cepulyoski who died today after an accident involving one the participating drivers. We are very saddened by what has happened and feel that it would be wrong to continue. On behalf of Gumball 3000, we once again extend our deepest sympathies to his family and we are doing everything we can for them. This is the first time anything like this has happened in 9 years of travelling through over 40 countries with 1000's of drivers and it is with deep regret that I make this announcement. Maximillion Cooper Founder & CEO The Gumball 3000 Group For any media enquiries call Mission - 02074916680 Another sad loss of life..
  11. ^^ was about to say the same thing.. PSI is just a measurement of the pressure in the manifold.. A high-flow running @ 14PSI will generate alot more air than a normal turbo running @ 14psi.. Also - as you've got a R33 Gts-t, advised boost on stock turbo is 10 - 12psi, any more and you risk shattering the ceramic exhaust wheel..
  12. http://www.gtspirit.com/ Some great updates.. Update 18:01 CET: Steve just messaged us that team 25 had a chance to put their foot down in the Carrera GT on an amazing bit of highway in Greece without any traffic. They reached over 200 mph. not holding back I see.. Hmm.. I can feel the carefactor: Update: Locals got injured in the crash, we hope they are ok. Our thoughts go out to them and their families.
  13. Some updates: http://www.gtspirit.com/feed/

  17. They have something similar on this year, starting Brisbane, if I can find it i'll post it up.. Just found this: And finally, with 2008 being Gumballs 10th Anniversary the event is already rumoured to be pushing the boundaries of entertainment even further with an incredible 3000 mile route of flying and driving from London to Moscow and onwards to finish in Sydney in 8 just days its going to be HUGE! So look forward to next year if this is Sydney as in Australia Sydney
  18. Not sure if this has been posted, but just noticed that the 2007 Gumball 3000 has started.. From London to Asia and BACK!!!... Should be interesting, already had trouble with the German police setting up roadside checking stations JUST for the gumball cars.. Best advice, check out the forums, as the main website is RUBBISH.. http://forums.gumball3000.com/viewforum.php?f=11 You can track their progress on http://maps.google.com - put this link - http://www.rallybird.eu/blog/ftp_incoming/...l%20Day%201.kmz - in the "search maps" area and click search.. it will load it and display their GPS markers.. Should be exciting, def looking forward to seeing some of the footage to come out of this years... Maxamillian is a Jaguar XJ220S which is an interesting choice, doesn't seem to be any Jap cars this year.. someone should run a R34 GTR in it!!
  19. Adam, I'm also a possibility for this, pending gearbox being fixed in time!!.. when do you think we'll know when it's happening??
  20. Cheers Blitz, will keep it in mind..
  21. Is this the one, what catback are people running with it? just starting to think about some parts for my car and these look quite good..
  22. How long does it normally take to tune one of these on a relatively stock car from start to finish? And also time for a car with turbo + injector modifications (which seems to be what people are interested in)
  23. It works by tricking the ECU into thinking it's got a different amount of airflow which than allows you to add/remove fuel and lean it closer to 12:1 AFR... Problem is, it just changes where on the fuel/ignition maps it is, so timing is changed accordingly which can cause issues.. Good if you don't have enough for a PFC and using stock turbo.. should get around ~200kw with average mods as above..
  24. Looks awesome, can we get a copy of the AFR posted?
