  1. If you'd like me to find out prices - let me know and i'll send my mate an email..
  2. I don't think it's about the prize money.. I think it's about going in the experience..
  3. maps.google.com search - sydney
  4. That's right - playing with fire I feel.. you better hope NOTHING happens
  5. bad luck.. everyone remember with insurance it takes into account a number of things - with the main ones being location and driving experience (you can be 60 on your red p's.. it'll cost you alot).. so unless you live next door to each other it's hard to compare insurance costs I reckon.. Good luck with getting some money out of it!!..
  6. turboxs have them.. www.turboxs.com.au - if you need any info send me a message, my mate works for them.. http://www.turboxs.com.au/more_info.php?ID=212 Haven't tried it but I believe they double as a shift light as well from the review in autosalon.. you have to calibrate it so that it can differentiate from normal engine noise, however I believe that's just a matter of it learning your RPM range noise..
  7. A reco'd gearbox will be like new and will cost you about $1,500+ I reckon.. Problem with buying a second hand gearbox is you don't know how hard it's life is.. why has it been pulled out.. so on.. so forth.. main one is what condition it's in.. I believe the cutch is a pull not a push or whatever it is.. so you'll be looking at more $$'s to fix that issue as well.. I'd recommend reco'in it..
  8. bad news.. was trying to break the british land speed record > 300MPH
  9. Still got mine sitting in my car
  10. Getting it serviced isn't likely to do much to fix ^^.. as for fixing it running rich - $1000 powerfc, $500 tune.. that's the answer..
  11. Looks like a good result.. How's it feel - what was it before they started tuning??
  12. Links

    New Civic Type R

Looks pretty cool.. hmmm.. might have to test drive it..
  13. talk to Stan - satanic.. he had around 200kw going through his I believe..
  14. Taking a stab at them being stock 16x7.5's..
  15. Man.. nice find..
  16. I'd say your solenoid isn't working correctly.. Hence it's sitting on 7psi.. and not 8/9psi.. Easier just to get a bleed valve for $30 ECU won't give a hoot whether your car is cold or warm.. it just triggers - >4,500 - open solenoid.. You can test it as I believe you should be able to trip it to open or close the solenoid if you do the "full boost" thing manually by grounding the wire.. see if you can hear it or try blowing air thruogh it..
  17. Last but not least.. Here's my 1998 40th Anniversary S2.. Got rid of that piece of cardboard under my headlight need to get new headlights but don't have a spare $900.. Also need.. suspension.. FMIC.. apexi pfc.. exhaust.. wheels.. jesus the list goes on.. Was thinking of getting an Evo VII today however under lease..
  18. Weight of R33's is ~1350kg.. + driver.. + fuel.. Go take some rubish to a weigh bridge and get them to weigh it for you.. I think your 6 mates are joking if they think their cars are all ~1200kg..
  19. Can we get the pm posted - would be intersting to read - I have the same issue.. will get it fixed.. one.. day..
  20. Son of a!!.. good one..
  21. Thw whole if it's the one in the side was there just to relieve any pressure trapped in it.. if mark says it's a new one, than I wouldn't be too worried.. i've been running mine for a year now - haven't had any issues.. As for installing it - just replace the T section with it, don't worry about disconnecting the solenoid..
  22. Wow.. transmission is still going eh.. actually I get the emails about them I think.. Used to go ages ago - 6th b'day.. and than about 3 others after that.. They still out at homebush? Hahaha.. just found the email - it was the 10th bday - lol.. Remember seeing Hennes & Cold - and always enjoyed nervous/amber savage/bexta.. Local dj's always know how to get a crowd going..
  23. How'd you end up going - find somewhere to get it done?? Reason why people recommend getting the gearbox reconditioned because of the fact that atleast you'll know what life it's lived.. And also - cubes wants a cheap second hand box
  24. Bump for you - hoping someone who knows will be able to help you - have you spoken to whoever did the group buy or exedy out of interest?
  25. Was about to say - i'd put it down to input shaft bearing.. this is why you hear in in neutral when the clutch is engaged and all the way through the gears.. Mine currently does it mainly on load e.g. accel/decel - in all gears however 4th is slightly quieter.. PLEASE post up the results of how you go - and also let me know how much it costs.. def interested.. You might find the gears are ok - and it has just shifted slightly out of line.. Good luck with it..
