  1. Shit adam.. I think i just saw a video of your car.. http://videos.streetfire.net/search/skylin...aa11ec8bc67.htm hope it's ok..
  2. You have PM - also - how many km's has it done.. and what is the history of the car.. rather you put it in the PM if you send one back.. cheers Links
  3. MOTOR racing champion driver Peter Brock has been killed in a racing accident in Western Australia. The Confederation of Australian Motor Sport (CAMS) said in a statement the accident occurred at about 1.50pm (AEST). It's been confirmed by CAMS funkymonkey..
  4. Motor racing champion Peter Brock has reportedly been killed in an accident in Western Australia. A car competing in the Targa West rally crashed into a tree at Gidgegannup about 30 kilometres north-east of Perth about 12pm, a Western Australia police spokesman told smh.com.au. The car was carrying two people and one had died in the crash, he said. The major crash investigation unit was at the scene, he said. Ambulances were not called. The spokesman could not confirm the driver was Mr Brock, although that is being broadcast on Sky News. http://www.smh.com.au/news/national/peter-...7222310976.html
  5. http://media.smh.com.au/?sy=smh&catego...878&flash=1 Skynews clip.. Doesn't show much - just discussing it - than they get confirmation from their director that it was brock.. RIP..
  6. I think adam was referring to his Z32 Airflow meter had been sitting around for 18months.. What ECU are you running adam?
  7. Skylines are notorious for running very rich due to the fuel maps in the ecu.. On top of that your now flowing more air so the ecu will put more fuel unnecessarily.. Problem is you can't just retune a stock ecu - you might need to look at something like a powerfc or if it's a R32 you could get an dr drift chip.. Also SAFC II is available for cheaper.. they will than tune the air/fuel ratios so that it doesn't over compensate..
  8. You are actually able to just get the key cut at any GOOD key cutter.. DON'T GO TO SHITTY KEY SHOP IN A MALL.. I went to 2 - one of which refused to cut it becuase they kept telling me my R33 one had an immobiliser chip in it (which they don't) and the other said "it won't work, but i'll do it anyway) - he did a shit job and surprise surprise it didn't work.. Look up a decent locksmith that you can go into and get it cut, otherwise - get nissan to blueprint it off the key id and they can get it cut I believe.. mine cost $7 from a security store..
  9. Well, As i'm currently watching the Cannonball 2004 Europe, I just looked up and they are actually running the Cannonball Run in Australia - around May 2007.. http://www.cannonballworld.com/aus/index.htm Goto say - pretty expensive.. $10,000 per car (1 car = 2 people).. Includes all accomodation... all entry to parties.. Looks awesome from the Europe one, however aussie police are not gonna let much slide i'm sure.. Def have to go and watch it when they start if they head through Sydney.. Anyone thought about entering it?? Links
  10. Congrats stan mate.. Certainly a better effort than the 165kw you did up at dat performance.. def interested to see how you go when your running the full 18psi.. Looking forward to the dyno graph - PICS or BAN!!
  11. Ouch.. good to see your ok, as everyone said - write off for sure!.. "Insurance is a negative" - as in you don't have any, or they aren't going to cover you.. Good luck with getting the money out of your mate.. could be alittle difficult trying to get money from them...
  12. Your oil pressure should fluctuate, it's not going to stay @ the one level constantly, as you rev the engine higher and the oil warms ujp the pressure will either build up or decrease... As long as it doens't drop below 2 too often, and doesn't go over 7ish.. you should be fine.. If the oil pressure light comes on, your in serious trouble, so either get an aftermarket gauge, or just check to see if yours is working..
  13. Your looking at $1000+ for gearbox rebuild.. Approx. $350 + gst to pull down and replace the box.. Approx. $400 + gst to replace any parts, check everything, rebuild.. + Parts..
  14. Don't forget that if your battery goes flat and the ecu does get reset, when it relearns - it'll be learning according to what the SAFC is feeding it e.g. modified values, not sure how this will affect it, but could be good just to get the tune checked..
  15. hesitation was probably caused by boost cut.. nothing to worry about there as well..
  16. Cheeky cheeky - man that's a f**kin nice looking car!
  17. and the 200 db blowoff and pidgeon in the engine bay trend must be on its way out. This post has been edited by lingeringsoul: Today, 08:40 AM Not possible.. Read the title and thought "Gees.. this one's going to stir a pot, bit racist..".. But no - it's ok - it's stupid people being stupid.. Saw a taxi drive driving with one the other day - dropping people off.. went to get the next fare, couldn't believe it..
  18. I believe they measure the temp before the cat and than after the cat, there should be a drop as it passes through.. also - it'll flame on backfire.. It's not worth it, there is other things you can do to get power that doesn't cost you $10k in fines..
  19. ^^ was just about to say that as well.. not sure where I read it - but was under the impression that they are unable to be complied..\ Hahaha sewid.. yes.. well.. have to be quicker next time!!
  20. Sorry to hear - best of luck recovering it..
  21. Sl!m said it.. But just so you know - most people would not recommend installing a BOV as ATMO one's tend to make the R33 stall if it isn't plumbed back.. As for your spark plugs.. why do you need to know?? make sure you get a full service done on it..
  22. Ditto price & write up ^^ - looks amazing
  23. The way I see it.. my car was 20k+ when I bought it.. even if I sell it after 2 years for 10k+.. i'm happy.. i've enjoyed having it.. i've got alot out of it and won't regret having owned it.. Until R32's start hitting sub 10k i'm not worried, R33's will always be worth more - purely because the age - this is Gts-t's.. not gt-r's.. I reckon R33's will end up sitting around $13-14k for SI and high k '96 SII - up to 16-17k for SII with low k's or good mods.. Fuel prices aren't a huge impact at the moment, just means less k's.. I wouldn't own an R33 if I was worried about them..
  24. If you are going to get a headunit that has an Ipod adaptor for it, I would recommend the alpine over the pioneer.. I have a pioneer 6750 in my car, great unit, but the interface for the ipod is clumsy.. you control it off the headunit - however you have to go through each albumn/playlist one by one - and there is no way to quickly scroll through them.. Great unit for what it is with my ipod just sitting in my glove box.. But just a bit clumsy.. REMEMBER - he must get an adaptor for the aerial socket to convert it from a japanese dual plug to australian single plug.. someone can tell you the part code - they are available from autobarn for about $20 - without it he won't be able to listen to the radio as the antenna won't be plugged in!!.. see here: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=60275 for infor
  25. All I can say - atleast they have kept the rally here.. for a while it was looking like it would go from australia completely..
