  1. Links; he doesn't want to use your turbo It's not good enough, he replaces it with a "new" item! Bastard .. Hmm.. so flog off mine for 300.. pay for some of the intercooler.. hmm.. not bad.. not bad.. get an aftermarket ECU.. good $2500 upgrade + labour + tuning..
  2. Oh - and looks like nengun have them: http://www.nengun.com/catalogue/product/375 $2,518 delivered..
  3. It can be done, just a matter of tapping into the correct wires coming off the ECU I belive.. There was a number of guys in the UK that were installing them in them in R33 GT-R's and also hong kong skyline club were doing them.. suggest you have a look in this thread.. http://www.hkskylineclub.com/new/forum_pos...TID=3160&KW=MFD
  4. 18 to 22.. wow - looking good stan.. Can he high-flow a stock turbo if we send it to him - any idea how much?
  5. Stan had a couple of other things done to it as well I think.. but he got about 200kw out of it with his SAFC installed on the auto.. maybe more.. can't quite remember..
  6. Maybe CRD(Lance) could elaborate on what was done .. I'm interested to know how the AFR are >10 with a full turbo back exhaust and no Aftermarket ECU - even stock mine dipped past 10:1.. wow - http://www.turboawd.com.ph/skylinegtr.html - that's a pretty extensive list of JUN parts..
  7. can you guys stop pissing on to each other.. actually on the other hand - i do enjoy a bit of controversy.. although it appears to appear everytime CRD is mentioned.. Staunch - can you post the AFR dyno graph.. Did he tune anything - or just do some power runs to see it's all going well Who's is the RH9 GT-R - is that the Dubai customer.. or someone else? in the ACT
  8. quick question - what did they do and how much did it cost.. did they fit the exhuast??? turn the boost up.. I don't quite see what has been done.. I could do all those things myself and put the car on the dyno and get the same results.. not having a go - just interested in knowing what was done as you've got most of the mods I'd look at getting (when i've got money + gearbox fixed)
  9. How's it all coming along NewKleer
  10. Take it to a gearbox place and get them to listen to it.. currently i've got a similar issue however mine is whining.. mechanic reckons it's the diff - I reckon it's the input shaft bearing.. Take it to someone that knows about gearboxes/diffs and get them to check it out.. full reco on a gearbox - $350 to pull it down, $450 to reco + parts + gst.. + gearbox oil.. that was at the gearbox factory.. i'm sure a diff would be similar pricing as they are quite complicated to do as well.. maybe $700 or so.. i'm getting mine fixed by my mechanic as he didn't look at the bearing when he took the box down and put it back together and it was still doing the same thing.. so I only got the above as a quote..
  11. Didn't make it out there - dissapointed.. souinds like a great day - anyone end up getting any photos out of interest??
  12. As for being stupid and adjusting it without knowing etc, if u read my posts youll note that i said id get it professionally adjusted as for rice, well type "definition of rice" into google, and youll catch my drift I think installing it yourself is a good way to learn how the turbo setup works in your car, that way atleast you'll have more of an idea of what happens, how it works and trouble shooting the car.. As for the rice thing - who gives a crap - if your worried about rice than don't buy a skyline - be proud of what you own and tell people to go stick it if they have a problem.. If you need assistance installing the bleed valve - I would suggest reading through the 45 pages on the $22 boost controller page as plenty of people have put up diagrams.. It's not overly hard - also listen to peoples advice on here - they are extremely useful and you have a massive amount of help on here if you run into problems.. Good luck with it and enjoy your car.. Not everyone is wealthy around - but buying something that reads your current boost is essential.. you tap it off the same line as the stock gauge.. if something goes wrong and you blow an because you were running too much boost you'll be regretting it.. spend the 45bucks - maybe get an oil temp gauge later and leave it at that, hide it in the glove box if you want - just get one..
  13. Man that thing must come with a rush.. whens it spool up by?
  14. Cheers for fixing it prank - all good again.. Congrats on the drag time 2.. sounds like you had a good run
  15. It appears that in firefox the random image is taking up 80% of the screen when they are being displayed on the homepage.. Very annoying, not sure if anyone has noticed this or not..
  16. LJ Man - can you pm me what you got quoted out of interest as I may be looking at getting another box..
  17. Well see how I go - might make it out later in the arvo to see how it's all going..
  18. i've replied to your other thread 123456
  19. I think you would be surprised by the response you would get in the thread it's actively looked at by a fair few people.. As GTST has said - get a boost gauge and that way you'll know exactly whats going on.. I dont want to spend $80 just to get a turbo timer/boost gauge unit which tells me my current boost, just so i can adjust the boost controller. I assume the stock boost controller isnt good for this because it only cranks to 7 psi and ive heard that the majority of stockish 32 gts-t owners are running theirs at about 12 PSI.. 12 PSI is about right yeh? your running a turbo car where you want to adjust the boost of the turbo however you aren't prepared to get a boost gauge.. I think that's a bit silly especially if something bad happens.. bite the bullet they aren't that expensive and in the long run you'll be much happier and maybe save your car some damage.. As for the stock boost gauge does it go to +7 x100 mmHG or whatever it is which i believe is 14psi.. 760 mm Hg = 14.7 psi
  20. good luck catching them and hope they get everything they deserve..
  21. Hey guys, i read that a few of you removed the "restrictor" on their R33... can someone plz PM me or post a pic of where it is located in the engine bay??? Cheers, Sarkis There isn't really a restrictor on the SII - it's the T-piece pipe that you remove from the hose going to the actuator that splits off to the dual solenoid. Remove this T-piece, plug it in and see how you go.. I wasn't able to find an actual restrictor - others might have different suggestions..
  22. Bit of gaffa tape and she'll be all good again.. sorry to see mona.. good luck with whatever is going into it next .. must've been that 500kw you dyno'd at the UAS day
  23. Great attitude.. airbags are there for a reason.. take care.. If you get defected for it - you'll have to put a standard one back on - all SII have Airbags as standard..
  24. Paul & Stacey - whens the next outing for the car.. looking good..
  25. CC, if your going to swap it go for a '96/'97/'98 SII.. wouldn't go near a SI now as they are pushing 10/11+ min years.. that's just my thoughts.. As for value - a '96 R33 could fetch from 16k - 19k depending on what kind of condition it is and depending on what the market is like at the time.. Personally - with the way fuel costs are going you could be holding onto a R33 for a while if you have a set price in mind.. also mods won't count for much value - people will pay maybe a little more for it - or they'd rather a stock one as it may not have been flogged quite as hard.. Make sure your not getting a lemon why are they swapping - they want a drift car? compression test.. the usual as you know.. sale price for R33 SII >16k+.. also - how many km's has it got? are they legit? Your selling your ceffie for 16K - you reckon you'll get much more than that for a 33??
