  1. Mitch, Great to see GTT-034 being looked after and in the process of being rebuilt, will be awesome to see it back on the road. I recall the day Stan first Dyno'd it after having just bought it, the look on his face said everything and off you guys went on the journey to get it to where it is today. Looks like since it changed hands it continued to go through a lot of changes and being built up. Good luck with it and look forward it back up and running. Links
  2. Afternoon all, Been quite some time since posting so thought i'd share a recent shot from a trip to Queenstown. Taken with a 7d - 24-105mm lens with CPL filter.
  3. Great day everyone, been a while since i've been to an event however it was as good as I remember them.. Some of the shots from today.. Full albumn can be found here: https://picasaweb.google.com/104461113046769712535/TexikhanaFeb2012?authuser=0&feat=directlink
  4. As always the trusty skylines community has helped resolve my missfire issue.. Symptom: Got a service completed, engine bay cleaned and car started to develop a missfire under load through the rev range starting at 2,500 - 3,500 then 4,500 - 5,500.. Sounds like a machine gun popping.. Swapped out spark plugs which appeared to be quite old and coil pack completely failed when placed back. Resolution: Looked at a number of posts and ended up buying a set of 6 yellowjackets rather then splitfires from Performance Wise, arrived in 3 days - great service from Paul.. Put them in, car is performing as normal, no missfire! Note: Car would idle fine and would be ok when gradually coming onto boost, only when wide open throttle and under load would it missfire.. http://www.performance-wise.com
  5. Just put in a new set of Yellowjackets which have resolved the issue with my missfire through the top end under load. Thanks to Paul from Performance Wise, great service!
  6. nice turnout everyone - looks like a good day, was up @ DY most of the day, should have remembered this was on but too many drinks Sat night wiped out my memory

  10. Great day, stayed there until after lunch than headed off.. Hi-Octane R34 was sounding on fire, having some traction issues from the looks of it.. Great turnout of cars, did feel a bit Evo vs. GT-R for a while there, oh and Johnny Boston vs. the world.. Took a shed load of photos, will slowly go through them and put up the best ones..
  11. I've had noisy bearings whining through all gears.. progressively getting worst.. Shoot Jo-Ann @ powerplay an email and she can give you a break down of costs.. I'm getting everything replaced that needs to be replaced with stock bits.. Most likely a number of bearings and some synchro's.. Looking forward to finding out what is wrong with it and grabbing some photos.. I would expect to pay between $1000 ~ $1500 for a rebuild in Sydney.. Personally prefer this to a 2nd hand gearbox.
  12. My gearbox is currently in the hands of Powerplay's in drummoyne's gearbox person.. Hopefully should have it back this week.. Will post up once I get it back how it went.. I've had a bearing issue for approx. 2 years (a long time ) so will be glad to get it back.. I was recommended them by D.I.F. who also had her gearbox fixed there..
  13. If it's whining when the clutch is in AND out, than it sounds like something forward of the gearbox potentially..
  14. Sorry mate, only just saw that, the colour wasn't quite as good - I tend to find the B/W has alot more depth.. Sidd, great photos.. I should get out there with the tripod..

  24. Agreed with Mayuri Z5500 is meant to be good - make sure it has Optical (TOSLINK) input as well.. Almost worth looking at an entry level home theatre setup with a decent amp - better also if it's for a lounge room..
