  1. it's bloody scary..
  2. We then took it back to the work shop and fitted a single 3" dump, CATCO 702cfm CAT, 3" mandrel bend exhaust with 6" cannon... From what I gather.. 3" split dump, 3" front, 702cfm CAT, 3" exhaust.. leads me to the same conclusion - you are saying you have a full 3" exhaust and highflow cat.
  3. QRI05E - great results, what did it end up costing you if you don't mind - can you break it down.. also - you will notice with the freer flow of air boost is up ~0.5-0.8psi to redline from approx 5,000 to redline.. This would also help I would imagine.. Am definately interested in getting something like this done on mine and with the turbotech bleedvalve should make a decent difference.. Would probably reset the ECU straight away and let it relearn..
  4. looking very schmick.. I like pictures.. anyways.. enough blabbering.. when you thinking you'll be back on the road.. what else has got to be done (besides reassemble).. as in what else are you planning on doing while it's off the road as well..
  5. How tall are you?.. As for the cluctch, engagement postition is very short on my R33 - within a couple of inches i'd say of putting my foot on the clutch.. are you just pushing it all the way for the hell of it (as most ppl probably do..) not much you can do if you don't fit properly I guess... try raising the steering wheel a bit as well.. see how you go..
  6. I'm not sure what the issue could be - however if you get a consult cable + calumsult it could help you diagnose the issue as you can see what the sensor's are detecting.. if the O^2 sensor was broken - i'd be under the impression it would run very rich e.g. 10:1 AFR rather than 14:1 which is very very lean.. so I think you can rule that out possibly - but yeah - i'd recommend consult cable test.. good luck..
  7. I'm guessing you are referring to the Active LSD - (A-LSD) rather than just LSD..
  8. if your having trouble go over the grass with the catch off it.. than run over it with it on.. or do it twice at 2 heights.. main reason it struggles is your moving 2 fast over a thick patch..
  9. Sounds great merli - will be interested to see what you hear back from them.. might look at changing to them after this year is up with just cars..
  10. lol - ^^ that says it all
  11. hmmm looks like a fairly large number of people.. unfortunately i've got a bbq.. won't be able to make it.. enjoy!
  12. Yeah.. could be if it hesitates it's R&Ring as it's detecting too much airflow, yet when you use 3/4 throttle and keep it a bit lower it'll be fine.. had this happen to me when I was running about 0.7/0.8Bar as it would detect too much airflow, engine would "hesitate" - yet as soon as I put it back down - it was all good.. have you tried winding down the boost a bit and see how it goes..
  13. Another IT guy here - i'm in networking for a major telco.. allows me to pay for my car loan.. IT is great, but there is a massive imbalance in wages..
  14. they are called pixelcars.. site was down about 3 weeks ago.. try googling for it..
  15. arghhH!!.. I hate trying to reply to a thread like this.. press.. it's the damn press.. f**k em theres gona be plenty of us at the cruz... we show them if need be show who.. the police.. won't be much good if they defect everyone..
  16. it's their way of retaliation.. not able to be understood.. anyways..
  17. bra boys - group of surfies who come from maroubra.. local gang.. very agressive towards surfers not from that area.. - bra coming from maroubra.. just do a google search.. they'll show up i'm sure..
  18. how'd you go - did you check out the solenoid?
  19. yeah - sounds like something isn't right.. mine wams up to under 1/2 way.. don't think i've seen it ever go over it, even when giving it a pretty good go on the way to avoca which was quite a hot day..
  20. sooo.. It actually feels like, boost changes from around 3000rpm?? but not 4500rpm? With a auto, you actually don't feel that big change in boost heheh, its quite progressive unfortunately... huh?? I don't understand.. i'd be hell surprised if you can't notice a change by approx 30% in boost pressure.. you'll notice it whether it's auto or manual.. and the change at 3,000rpm.. that's not the solenoid.. the solenoid works from 4,500rpm.. not 2,000.. not 3,000.. We disconnected the boost controller and still no difference? Is there something wrong with the boost control or is it the guage? what boost controller?? if you disconnected it without putting the solenoid back in the right way you will never get over 5psi.. did you plug it all back in with the T piece or did you just "take out the boost controller" .. sorry.. just had to vent a little edit: oh and one more thing, go and get a decent boost gauge..
  21. hmm... depends on how hard you drive.. I average about 400km's to a tank.. so what's that.. 15ltrs/100.. that's pretty bad..
  22. from the sounds of it you should possibly check the solenoid.. check the plumbing.. if the solenoid isn't opening about 4,500rpm you'll never get higher than 4-5psi..
  23. Works like this.. from 0 - 4,500rpm - they run 4-5psi (depending on other factors) once it hits 4,500rpm the solenoid opens bleeding more air which will cause it to go to 7/8psi from there to redline. mine - which is mainly stock did this but went to about 0.66Bar which is about 9psi so it can vary a little.. if it isn't going past the 1/2 way mark - check your going over 4,500rpm .. if your mates hits 8psi before that mark, he's probably got the boost solenoid out of the loop. check under your bonnet and see if it's still hooked in and plugged in, it's on the right side under the stock air intake.. you could always get a turbotech boost controller and try using that instead..
  24. still none today..
  25. Looks interesting.. out of interest how long will it be taking for you to do the full rebuild.
