  1. Battery.. I bet on it.. just get a jump start, goto a batteryworld - get a fully sealed battery and away you go!
  2. A stock R33 depending on SI or SII will make say about 150kw at the rears.. maybe a little more - maybe a little less depending on how it has been driven.. yer thnx peeps due to that asshole of a mod - not exactly the nicest thing to say yourself.. anyways - stick around it's all good once you know where everything is - especially the search button.. happy with your car?
  3. main advantage of flat shifting is you'll be constantly on boost? yes/no?.. as soon as you back off the throttle, throttle body closes and BOV releases and your back to square 1..

    Not Enough Power

Putting 98 RON fuel should allow you to wind the boost up a bit higher before it starts to ping at all (much).. why were you tuning the car on a mixture of 95/98?

If u prefer the 32 go with it and save urself 10k!!! Think what u could do to the 32 with that 10k - yeah.. fix it so that it's running like it should!!.. .. just stirring.. Personally - drive each - work out what you want.. most R33's will not need many repairs.. meanwhile you could end up with a R32 that's in need of some engine fixes.. cost will probably end up being closer - don't forget a 33 will be almost 7 years newer than an R32.. that's quite a bit of time and possibly lot less km's..
  6. hmmm.. i'll try it this week when I get a chance.. don't like over inflating.. but i'll see how it goes..
  7. Could be the resupply.. Will check out some places this week and see if it's around.. could also be last of their supply..!! hopefully.. I have noticed that i'm getting better economy from shell though.. hmm.. to switch back or not..
  8. I think you should write a letter back to them, than letter drop it to everyone in your street.. Has to be someone close (next door or over the road) to you if they are being woken up/annoyed at the turbo timer.. They obviously have nothing better to do with their time.. it's annoying because you can't even have a chat to them about it.. could atleast have left a name on it..
  9. Mattix - any news on the car?
  10. Can someone put up a downloadable link if they have a copy of the vid.. otherwise i'll wait till I get home to view..
  11. It should read past the 1/2 way mark between 0 and +7 (+7 being ~14psi or 1Bar..) Get an aftermarket gauge.. Check the vacuum hosing.. @ high revs should be about 8psi..
  12. Spotted Doodz in central last night about 5:30 when I was going to Jamiroquai.. I was on a bus .. I think it was you anyways.. caught the -33Y and looked familiar.
  13. Doodz.. it's been like this for about the past 3 weeks.. emailed them the other day.. and called them.. they said restock is not until mid-late december.. guy on the phone said they were shipping it over from amsterdam.. not sure if that's true. - but yeah.. everywhere is out.. from hornsby to north sydney, to parra.. not sure about the south.. northern beaches too.. atleast that's where I tend to buy.. been filling up on shell optimax, finding I get better economy.. but bit down on power..
  14. have you tried swapping them around.. couldn't hurt it..
  15. Hmm.. interesting.. I tend to put mine on 32psi.. Having them high 40+psi does this push the inner tube out a bit and change the shape much.. might have to try it.. cheers Links
  16. do 0.8 *14.7 = it's about 11psi.. so.. yeah.. could still be pushing higher than that.. what does it peak at?
  17. Hmm.. some interesting cars.. me.. i've had a 1983 pair of feet.. lasted me a good 22 years before I traded them in.. traded them in for: 1998 R33 gts-t SII.. that's.. it..
  18. Don't worry about the solenoid.. just take out the T-Piece - stick in a bleed valve in it's place.. if I recall correctly - top is the input.. bottom is the output on solenoid.. Sounds like you could have it around the wrong way.. swap it.. won't hurt the car.. and also - unless your car activates the solenoid at 4,500rpm.. you'll never get over 5psi of boost because of the way it works.. it opens and bleeds more air, causing the boost pressure to go up..
  19. Had a bit of a run through northbridge last night with a black R32 GT-R.. not sure if they are on here though.. didn't catch the number plate.. was too busy.. driving.. also spotted - a new tattoo heading over to manly a week ago or so.. didn't realise until she'd already passed..
  20. 'We all know what men are like these days?'.. that's a great attitude.. just wait a second.. you mean to say guys look at you.. driving a skyline.. !!!.. fancy the chances of that.. what do you expect them to do.. look away from you.. your driving a skyline - of course you get attention - most people do in cars like that.. anyways.. there's plenty of girls.. plenty of guys as well.. also - if that's the attitude of people you hang around - i'd suggest maybe looking for some new friends.. or try going to some different areas..
  21. How much was it.. lol.. Hmmm.. that power curve.. looks.. like a 2 year old was playing mr squiggle.. Out of interest - only goes to 102kph.. bit strange..
  22. Probably not all directed at us - but probably still relevant..
  23. Very unfortunate, hopefully someone will see it around and report it to the police.. Have you put this in the NSW member forum as well.. can't remember
  24. Ok.. Just rang the customer support line @ BP - as you can tell i'm very busy .. 1. They have had to get a shipment from Amsterdam to restock which left a while ago and was due this week.. (due in about 1 & 1/2 weeks time - that was a week ago) so should be back in action soon.. 2. He said that WA has been rectified and that they weren't having any issues, anyone want to give us an update on this.. 3. They'll prob start in Sydney as there is a shortage across the East Coast of AUS - so cross fingers.. should be all good soon.. Cheers Links well.. in the time since I called them.. I also emailed them .. goto have more than one source don't you.. here is the response.. i commented that I must use 98RON and don't want to swap to other fuel.. also asked for a forecast on when the fuel would be back in action.. Thank you for getting in touch and we deeply regret our inability to supply BP Ultimate or Premium Unleaded at this time. We are working extremely hard to resume supply but it will be mid late December before for all sites are to be restored to their normal fuel supply levels. In the meantime we are recommending that all drivers who are unsure whether their car can operate on lower octane grades to consult their owners manual or manufacturer for advice. Whilst we guarantee our fuels when used for their intended purpose, I am afraid we cannot offer to compensate any damage ensuing from their use in a vehicle for which they are not designed, and nor can we offer to either endorse or reimburse the use of other products not manufactured by BP. Our very strong advice to all motorists is to only use BP fuels in the form and for the purpose for which they are intended, and so it is essential that manufacturer's advice is taken on which fuel to use. I am very sorry that we are currently unable to help you. BP Ultimate is our best product, and I can assure you that we are doing everything we can to renew and maintain supply. If you are able to visit www.bp.com.au/sms you can register for an SMS update when supply resumes. Yours sincerely BP Australia Limited
