lol.. wigga mobile.. was good to watch it just punting round the corners.. i'm def happy with the photos.. lookin good guys..

When using the CB you have to make sure you don't have code sequencing on - it usually appears as a second little number next to the channel.. What this does is it only lets you receive from people with the same code.. which means you won't hear anyone on the general channel.. just a piece of quick info..

Thank you liz.. you just put my mind quite at ease.. it's not good is it.. just give it a bit of throttle and it's happy.. I think it's because it kills ignition but doesn't stop fuel getting dumped in.. than it hits the turbo dump pipe and VOOMPH! it's pops..
-
Did I mention it backfires constantly when I go off the throttle and it's been spooling hard.. not good think it's excess fuel just getting dumped into the dump-pipe which ignites instantly.. sounds like someones making pop-corn just under my feet.. Same here stan.. back of mine has heaps everywhere on the ass of it.. thought yours would be a bit better with your SAFC-2..
-
Wilch.. cheers for the heads up why did no-one mention this earlier .. Was it mainly doing it when I was going full throttle, I think it's the fact that the car is running really rich.. was a/f of about 10.5 when I got it dynoed.. I wound down the boost for the trip home.. hmm.. brown smoke.. that's not the best.. Might have to see how it runs when I get home, it's damn hard to see things like that when your driving thanks for letting me know.. it stalled when I came off the freeway.. restarted - blew a heap of shit than seemed to clear up.. wasn't blowing anything out of the ordinary when i was sitting in the car park @ thornleigh when we finished up.. hopefully just the richness, but you never know.. didn't seem to be having issues making boost - so I think the turbo is still ok..

If I recall he was in a very pimped out looking R34 4-door that my friend and I both commented on - man that thing sat sooo well on the road when we were cruising along behind you.. What suspension setup does it have..
-
The alarm drains a surprising large amount of power.. it's not the LED - it's the constant signal it's emitting to all the sensors, sonic detectors.. everything that it's monitoring.. Moving past that though - Most batteries will die after a couple of weeks without the car being started, it might just lose to much charge to crank over the engine. Also it's not about the voltage so much as cranking amps is what is required to get the engine kicking over..
-
hahaha stan.. photo of a couple of us talking to the cop.. smartass
-
I think we agreed that you'd be going home on the back of a tow truck .. atleast you'd save on the petrol..
-
Nothing in the paper about it.. looks like it's just another statistic unfortunately, it's not uncommon on that road though.. Oh and also - did you GT-R boys get some photos to share around, saw you leave than pull over and setup for some photos..
-
Yeah.. i'm gonna get a strip of foam or something to put there.. just haven't gotten around to it + a new headlight is about $300 min. I think that cop didn't know what to do when we all pulled over.. he was probably going.. "what the hell.. theres more of these fcukers".. I remember when we were cruising past the bike accident.. one of them remarked "that's the slowest i've ever seen these cars going.." - nearly felt like punchin the grin off his face.. anyways- they didn't hassle us.. which was good..
-
and you had something on your right headlight....looked like tree bark.. That's actually my high tech headlight support.. both the mounting brackets are snapped so i've got a piece of cardboard holding it up a little bit so it doesn't rub on my front bar.. Did you guys end up going Manly Stan? Passed some a couple of you - whoever it was that had the flat battery - on the way to manly to pick my g/f up.. man.. that traffic from the spit to mosman was HELL.. Thanks for the photos guys.. stan.. where are yours HUH!!.. oh and damn my neck got burnt, arms aren't too bad, just my neck..
-

sorry silver.. CB came in handy.. next time we goto get everyone together before we leave and say "we are going up the freeway, turn off at berowra and we'll regroup there".. was a bit hectic doing some good old.. should we go this way.. should we go that.. than having to cut through traffic.. always fun.. with mintie coming up the rear
-
If anyone needs somewhere to put photos/videos let me know.. i've still got 1.2gig's free on the manuals site..

Mintie and a couple more of us went for a swim! We even had some hot scenery over near us! mmmmm hot.... scenery.... awhhhhhh yeah.. plenty of scenery.. also plenty of good photos. managed to get my car in a number of them.. mmmm.. still thinking about that boosting we were doing through the old pac.. a newtattoo - think you were the one I got a water for.. whoevers that red car is that you were riding in looked nice sitting low..
-
Ok.. well just thought i'd post.. Had an awesome time - pity about the motorbike rider - very sad.. was great to see 30+ skylines out and about, had a good swim - might have been the only one.. On the way there my car was rich and retarding as I had the bleed valve too wound up.. managed to fix it just before we left and wow.. what an awesome ride home.. Hammering it down the road with the 350Z with the bikes all around us.. was great.. Nice to meet alot of you - hard putting a face to nicknames - one of the best cars was def. chris's R34 GT-R Vspec, that thing was immaculate.. hope everyone didn't get to annoyed when I snuck up the inside a couple of times through the round abouts .. Anyways - till next time enjoy..

Got the car washed this morning.. pretty average effort.. haven't managed to vacuum the dirty inside.. weather looks awesome..
-
It's meant to be fine on sunday.. and if today is an indication it appears to be clearing.. SO hell yeah.. time for some fun..

Well thought i'd give an update on the service.. Dropped my car in at Polmar yesterday morning at 8:30.. left it in Eli's hands to go over for the day while I was at work.. Got a call at about 3:00pm telling me everything was finished.. I'd asked for a Engine, Gearbox and Diff oil change.. He was kind enough not to change the Diff oil as he thought it was still fine (i didn't mind).. flushed and changed the Engine, Gearbox and Oil filter.. Overall car is running much better, oil pressure is just over 2 at idle whereas before it sat on 2.. must be the difference in the oil rating.. Cost me a bit over $140 in Labour and about $180 in parts + oils.. Goto say.. my gear box slides in smoother than a ...... in a ....... I LOVE IT!!.. anyways.. thought i'd give some feedback, appears that the car has been well looked after before I got it, no metal in the gearbox oil on the magnet and everything runs well.. so i'm a happy man

Importing An R34 Gtr
Links replied to TBee's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
I'm sure if you go through a workshop that know's the guys at the RTA you could get by with a couple of things, mine had a couple of little panel dings (that still haven't been fixed) and they didn't seem to have an issue.. Just put some stock tires on than take them off when finished.. Borrow some off someone.. Depends on how you want to do it.. personally i'd want everything up to spec..
